I expect a deluxe room at this price to have clean floors. Both the carpet and bathroom floor were not as expected. The overall look of the hotel hallway on my floor (the 7th) was past it's prime. I was on a short business trip visiting UCSC - hotel is in the ideal location. My room had a perfect view of the Boardwalk and the beach. There was quite a line of traffic at around 5 pm when I drove up. If you drive, definitely use the valet service or park in the lot across the street.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Dream Inn. The beach view was beautiful and the rooms were very spacious and clean. The location of the hotel was also great. My only complaint was that parking was not included. They charged $22 a night for parking which I found a little pricey.

One of the only hotels actually on the beach. Walk out of the pool area and onto the beach. All the other hotels seem to be on the other side of the road to the beach or on a cliff with no easy access to the beach. Wonderful!

This hotel can charge alot because it is one of the only hotels right on the beach & walking distance to the boardwalk. It is dated & in need of repairs. (Bathrooms, paint, sliders). If being right on the beach a short walk from the Boardwalk is what you want, and you have deep pockets, and you don't mind mediocre food, stay here. Otherwise, there are better, less expensive hotels further inland. You can always drive to the beach.

We enjoyed the room and location. Was there for work and play, so the location is fabulous. Love that the spa and pool are kept up and heated during winter months. Each room has a view and I still have the morning sunrise fresh in my mind because of the incredible view of Monterey bay from our room.

This place never disappoints! It was a slow weekend so they let me check in a few hours early and check out a few hours late! It made the trip seem longer! Something about those balconies reflects the sun so it was about 75 degrees---so we had our breakfast on the balcony! LOVE the Dream Inn

We had a wonderful time. The restaurant was excellent. Only complaint-since there was a Keurig in the room, would have liked more than 1 cup of regular coffee per person. They supplied 2 regular and 2 decaf. I know I could have probably called,but shouldn't have to.

We stayed here for our "mini-moon" after our wedding. The beds were fabulous and I loved falling asleep to the waves crashing below. Yes, there are sometimes homeless people sleeping on the edges of the beach but remember it's Santa Cruz and that's just how Santa Cruz is.
