My husband and I ordered room service several times during our stay and the room service was excellent. The food arrived quickly and the staff was very helpful. One lady even offered to get our ice for us from down the hall - we will definitely stay at the Doubletree the next time we are in Chattanooga.

My fiance and I stayed 3 nights over the Labor Day weekend and we had a wonderful time. We parked our car in the side lot (free)and didn't move it the entire stay. We went to Rock City on our way out of town on Monday. The hotel is beautiful and our room was very quiet. There were so many wonderful things to do and great places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. If you want to save money, eat breakfast at City Cafe(really cheap)or Blue Plate (limited menu, but great pancakes and breakfast burrito) We had dinner one night at the hotel and the food was very good. As previous reviewers have stated, the employees were so friendly and nice! Very close to the stadium and it would be great to catch a baseball game during your stay since everything is within walking distance. Close to all of the water attractions. We will definitely be back!

Pool closed the night of arrival when we really wanted it. Nightstand and lamp extremely dusty, chunks of dust floated off. Called customer service after trip to report conditions and was put on hold for 8 minutes before hanging up!

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 8, 2009
This hotel is within walking distance of most of the downtown attractions (Discovery Museum, Tennessee Aquarium, etc.) and convenient to many great restaurants. The kids loved the "salt water" pool - no chlorine means no red eyes. There was bar service at poolside during the holiday weekend we were there. The staff was courteous and attentive.

Nice Hotel close to the Aquarium and Discovery Center. Only problems I had was that I had a Do Not Disturb sign on my door since my daughter was taking her afternoon nap and had two different people from the hotel knock on our door, and then the front desk called to say they were sorry(all 3 woke up the baby) Overall the Hotel and Service was good. I would most likely book there again when in Chattanooga.

Had plenty on entertainment and dining within quick waling distance including the Riverbend festival, Lookouts Stadium, and Aquarium.

We were really disappointed with our stay here. There are no in-room movies or movie channels available at this hotel which really disappointed me. The rooms, while nicely decorated, are much smaller than they appear on the website. Housekeeping was really slow to clean our room and it wasn't ready until 4:00. Also, there are coffee machines and to-go cups in the rooms, but the lids they had in the rooms don't fit the cups. Room service was terrible. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a cobb salad. They called back two separate times because they were out of the cheeses for the sandwich. When the food finally arrived, the cobb salad wasn't right either. It was missing several ingredients and the cook threw in several others that weren't listed, so it basically wasn't a "cobb" salad. I think this hotel could be great, but it is lacking in attention to detail and proper managment. We will stay somewhere else the next time we visit Chattanooga.
