Only booked 3 nights as I was not sure about the place, but liked it so much stayed a couple more nights. The rooms were small but really comfortable. and the hotel was right on the beach perfect.

Highly recommended. Everything about our stay was first class. The staff were enormously helpful. My wife is a coeliac, and has to have gluten free food. We were delighted that there is a full gluten free menu for breakfast. Quite unique in our experience of staying in hotels and B&Bs all over the world was the provision of a toaster specially for gluten free breads. We found that the head chef is on a gluten free diet too, so he really does understand needs of guests with dietary requirements. The dinner in the hotel was very good too.

I stayed one night at the Best Western JAX before continuing my journey, the check in staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful, recommended take-aways etc., the room was clean, had a fridge and microwave both were clean and in working order. I made a good choice staying here.

Dinner only, Tuesday through Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. Dress is contemporary casual: jackets and ties are not required.
Café 4750 - Casual indoor dining with panoramic views of the pool. Elaborate buffet breakfast. Lunch includes sandwiches, salads, and soups. Beef, seafood, and pasta are the choices for dinner. Open daily.
The Ocean Bar & Grill - This outdoor poolside bar and grill overlooks the beach and serves specialty drinks in addition to light fare such as hamburgers, hot dogs, pizzas, and salads. Open mid-morning until dusk (seasonal).
Lobby Lounge & Oceanside Veranda - Drinks, light menu fare, and beach views in relaxing lobby bar and lounge. Open daily from late morning until late night.
The hotel is nestled between an 18-hole PGA Golf Course and 1.5 miles of white-sand beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Water-sports activities are available beachside, including parasailing, kayaking, and Jet Skiing (seasonal). Sunrise tai chi and yoga are also available on the beach.
The hotel's freeform outdoor splash pool with deck and lounge chairs overlooks the beach. Children enjoy their own pool with waterfall and may participate in the Ritz Kids program of supervised activities for kids age 5-12. The fitness center includes Cybex machines and treadmills, and a personal trainer is available.
The hotel has nine oceanside tennis courts, including five lighted courts. Two tennis pros provide group and individual instruction. The 18-hole Golf Club of Amelia Island is a PGA championship course with driving range and clubhouse.

"Ritz Carlton stay Amelia Island"
The Ritz Carlton is an incredibly beautiful hotel. The staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful. From the day we checked in, the staff at Eight, the lobby and the front desk were just so accommodating. We got an upgrade to the room to an ocean view, spectacular. The only downside to the entire visit was our dinner at the exclusive Salt restaurant, […] our meal was almost two hours late and i had asked for Veal cooked well done, it not only came rare but overly salty and unedible, however the staff at the restaurant was superb and took care our entire meal. "Great 25 Year Anniversary @ the Ritz"
The Ritz-Carlton at Amelia Island is a beautiful hotel and the whole staff made our 25 year Anniversary a time to remember. We can not wait to return to this relaxing paradise. The Ritz-Carlton at Amelia is worth the money.

"This hotel was under construction..."
...over President's Day weekend. It was loud and dusty and certainly not up to Ritz Carlton standards. There was no water in the pool and our weekend was ruined. We feel we deserve a complete weekend or a voucher for two nights at the Ritz Carlton of our choice. Thank you, Julie R.

"great place"
We were in Jacksonville and had one day to ourselves. We had an amazing drive out to the Hotel. Once we arrived we rented some of the Bicycles they have there at the hotel and did a ride to the town. It was great and a great way to see the town and neighborhoods. We had Breakfast and Dinner at the Hotel and all of the food and deserts were amazing. […] Besides hotel.com and the ritz charging me for the stay and having to call back today and deal with that, my stay was awesome and I would recommend to anyone.
