Dining
Salt, The Grill at The Ritz-Carlton - Elegant dining with great ocean views. Each evening, guests are invited to sample the chef’s "Taster Menu" and enjoy a customized multi-course dinner. Dinner only, Tuesday through Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. Dress is contemporary casual: jackets and ties are not required.
Café 4750 - Casual indoor dining with panoramic views of the pool. Elaborate buffet breakfast. Lunch includes sandwiches, salads, and soups. Beef, seafood, and pasta are the choices for dinner. Open daily.
The Ocean Bar & Grill - This outdoor poolside bar and grill overlooks the beach and serves specialty drinks in addition to light fare such as hamburgers, hot dogs, pizzas, and salads. Open mid-morning until dusk (seasonal).
Lobby Lounge & Oceanside Veranda - Drinks, light menu fare, and beach views in relaxing lobby bar and lounge. Open daily from late morning until late night. Eight - Sports bar, equipped with billiard tables, multiple flat-screen TVs, extensive beer and wine lists, and American cuisine; open Monday - Friday, 4 PM to midnight, Saturday - Sunday, Noon - midnight
Recreation
The hotel is nestled between an 18-hole PGA Golf Course and 1.5 miles of white-sand beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Water-sports activities are available beachside, including parasailing, kayaking, and Jet Skiing (seasonal). Sunrise tai chi and yoga are also available on the beach.
The hotel’s freeform outdoor splash pool with deck and lounge chairs overlooks the beach. Children enjoy their own pool with waterfall and may participate in the Ritz Kids program of supervised activities for kids age 5-12. The fitness center includes Cybex machines and treadmills, and a personal trainer is available.
The hotel has nine oceanside tennis courts, including five lighted courts. Two tennis pros provide group and individual instruction. The 18-hole Golf Club of Amelia Island is a PGA championship course with driving range and clubhouse.

Having stayed at this ritz carlton many times before, i was looking forward to a nice quick stay before going to a funeral. the registration desk attendant was very curt and not very welcoming. Later in the evening we were looking for dinner directions and we could not get anyone from concierge so the front desk had to help us. they again acted like we were a bother. The service is what is expected at the ritz but this time is wasn't as desirable as in the past. Oh well.

They actually had us in a room with 2 double beds instead of the king we requested. One mention of this to the bellhop, and he upgraded us to an amazing suite overlooking the ocean!
