"Close to convention center"
Pros: Close to the Boston convention center and cheap. Cons: Toilet did not flush when we arrived and the maintenance was gone since it was past 11pm. The front desk gave me a plunger to plug the toilet. The room was dusty so some of my friends had allergy problems.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent Hotel, Poor Service"
I was here once before and it was a decent price for what you would expect. Unfortunately the second time around was not so pleasant. I spent nearly ten minutes checking into my room over small confusions. We were told that we must call for a shuttle to pick us up rather than be sent out at specified times. The first night we called for a shuttle they […] told us they don't come out after 7 PM. So, we had to take a taxi back. We asked the staff about it while at the hotel and they said they ran all night. The second night we called for the shuttle it arrived full so we had to wait for the next one. We waited for over an hour before just getting a taxi. The shuttle driver showed up at the hotel, roughly 15 minutes later, complaining that we weren't there when he arrived. "I expected much less"
For the prove and the initial appearance from outside, I didn't expect much from this Ramada. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and well maintained. It had a microwave and fridge and coffee maker which were never mentioned in the hotel description, even had free coffee! The beds were quite comfortable for the 3 nights […] I was there. All of the staff was very pleasant and helpful. There was an issue with the wifi not working, however we were staying for a large gaming convention and so I believe that router may have just been overworked that particular weekend. There is an arcade/bowling alley across the parking lot which is also pretty cool. All in all if I ever find myself in Boston I would definitely stay here again. Had a great stay in Ramada. Transportation in and out was convenient thanks to the shuttle servicing both the JFK/UMASS station and Logan airport. The hotel is a bit dated but is well kept and clean. We were at first given the key to a room that was either occupied or in the process of being cleaned. We went back to the desk and got another room, which was OK. "needs much improvement on staff"
I arrive and there was 3 workers and two of them was talking and one was busy. Was directed to the one that was busy and had to wait. Seriously are you guys working or socializing? The number system there is confusing. To open the door you have to pull up not down. Which I should of been told while checking in but nope. That was very irritating. Get into my room and it smells. I really Dont think they spray the rooms at all. 10:30 I get to the JFK shuttle location and I had called prior to the hotel that I would need the shuttle. They said it would be there by the time I get there. Got there no shuttle called again and they said be there in a minute or two. 11 o clock comes and my co worker calls. They claim that was the first call they got about a shuttle. Seriously all the workers here seem like they are on drugs and young people that really don't know what they are doing. Dont get me wrong for what I paid I shouldn't expect the best service but I have stayed at cheap motels that provided better service. Would I stay there again? Most likely never. The hotel appears to be undergoing some renovations. Most of the halls are old & in need of updating, which it appears they are doing. Room was fine, very comfortable bed. I booked the hotel because of the llow rate. I would never stay there again. Staff was brand new and not knowledgable. It took over 25 minutes to check in because of the long line.
