When we arrive finding out that we have a room that is sofa bed only when i book it said standard room only nothing about being a sofa bed and the price was very expensive for the room it should had been alot less i recommend to use hotels that are out of the area its not worth itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We had an enjoyable stay at the Gaylord. Dining in the hotel was rather expensive and not a great variety. Many restaurants were not open all day, leaving us with a limited choice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One night stop over"
Friendly staff. Food is pricey for what you get in the different hotel restaurants. Nice atmosphere for the kids.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Expensive is the first thing that comes to my mind. I am particularly disappointed that they didn't mention that my room would be facing out and not in. I thought it was totally stupid to spend so much money and be in a room like any other hotel. The room was clean but didn't have any amenities that newer hotels normally have, like microwave, stuff […] in bathroom etc., I was also disappointed that even breakfast wasn't included with such an expensive room. I was fine spending the money, but I didn't feel I got what I paid for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Ask the courtesy counter to ask about going places what would be cheaper to go up town bus or taxi she said taxi because bus was $20 a person and their was 3 of us so we took taxi well it was $27 dollars one way so at the end with tip and all it came out to $60 same as bus. Also the next morning I had brought cash to pay I pd cash and said this will […] not appear on my credit card will it Mike said no I said are you sure so I paid came home it is already taken out of my card. It is a lot of trouble putting it back in my account. Hotel is not worth the money I spent $6o on taxi $345 for room also they charge you $23 parking. Would not stay again. "Grand Ole Opry visit"
The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the Grand Old Opry which was our reason staying at this location. My first impression upon checking in at valet parking was, there was no organization. Just a bunch of people running around without a leader directing them. It was the same when we came to leave. there was no valet station to go to too retrieve […] your car, no leader to direct the team. Check-in was easy and convenient, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Our room overlooked the atrium with a little deck that had a small table and two chairs. Overall the room was clean and quiet. The overall décor was old and needed an update. The attention to detail was lacking i.e. the towel racks were not securely fastened to the walls, there were scuff marks on the walls of the deck where the chairs hit the wall. The main public areas had litter here and there and in the planted areas as well. I know it is a busy place but if you have been to Disneyland you know if your drop something an employee is there to retrieve it before it hits the floor. Everything was way expensive as you are a captive audience. I ate at three restaurants Mexican, Italian and breakfast. Quality of food was average to below average. Parking valet $28 a day and the so called public lot is $21. There is also a daily $18 convenience fee for things that were free in the past. So if you can afford to stay here it offers a convenient location to the Grand Old Opry. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Uncomfortable with a side of bad service"
When spending over $300 per night for a hotel room I have some expectation that the service will be good or at least better than a 2 star hotel and that the bed will be comfortable. Unfortunately the service was sub par and the bed and pillows were the least comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel. "Nice but will nickle and dime you to death."
Paid extra $20 for breakfast to be included but upon arrival find out it is not. Resort fee of $18.00 is charged every day that you are there. Self park is 21.00 plus tax per day. A soda out of the machine cost $2.50. Nice place but will nickle and dime you to death!Room was clean. Bed was suppose to be a king and ended up being 2 queens one of which […] sank in the middle. "Tons of walking"
The complex is so huge, I spent much more time and effort walking from the hotel room to conference sessions than I have at any other conference location over the years. But I understand that there's not much hotel management can do about that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A tremendous dsiappointment"
This is the most unpleasant luxury hotel experience I have ever had. I was here for a national conference and found it ridiculously expensive (given what one got), utterly confusing, and completely annoying. In an attempt to create some "paradise", they have succeeded in creating a hotel which is completely soulless. The room rate was already outrageous, […] then they tack on a "resort fee" and charged an exorbitant amount for parking, not to mention $3.50 for a simple cup of coffee. I felt like they were after every penny I was willing to part with. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very nice hotel. Staff was very helpful and pleasent. Trying to find your way around is something else... Restaurants are expensive!! But yes we would stay again and just eat elsewhere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is one of the prettiest hotels I have ever stayed in. Room was extremely clean. One would think the rooms overlooking the atrium would be a bit noisy but you do not hear any noise. Only thing would be that the bed and pillows could have been a little more comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Way too expensive"
Hotel rooms are just average. But prices inside are way over the top. $21 a day to park in self parking, $18 a day resort fee,.requested a king size bed 3 months prior to our 7 day stay. "This hotel rocks!"
The room itself was nice, but don't be fooled. The key to this hotel are the Cascades, Delta, and Magnolia gardens. The restaurants are pricy, but are super nice. It was an awesome getaway with the wife! I could walk this hotel for hours.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beware of rooms with only a sofa bed"
I took my daughter on her fall break to getaway. I booked a "standard room" last minute and headed to Nashville. When i checked in, the sweet girl working the counter asked if i was aware i had booked a room with a sofa bed. I said oh thats great because my mom came with us too. What she meant was there was ONLY a sofa bed! I havd never heard of a room […] without a bed. She upgraded me to a room with 2 queens...no problem as they weren't very busy. Had they been crowded and we all had to sleep together on a 2 inch mattress, i would've been furious. Other than that, we had a fab time. My daughter loved the hotel and indoor pool was great. "be prepared to shell out more cash"
I was shocked by the price of parking-- for a three night stay our self-parking bill was $127. Everything seemed overpriced. The staff was very friendly, there is lots to do (like get lost) in the hotel, and plenty to experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Grand Ole Opry Birthday Bash Weeked 2014"
Hotel was fantastic, service was great, even with allergy issues, they were very accomodating. "Paying for your room is just the start!"
Staying at this hotel is a bit like entering an alternate universe. The gardens are pleasant to walk around in and about the only free activity one can participate in once trapped in the massive maze that is this hotel. Nearly constant nickel and diming makes for a spendy stay even if you're a frugal traveler.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was not impressed with the Gaylord Opryland. Our room was not maintained as it should have been for a hotel of this caliber. The entry carpet was worn and had holes in it and one of the ceiling panels under the a/c unit had a large stain on it that was very noticeable. The room was comfortable. "Check in was really bad be prepared"
The hotel was nice but the check-in process was horrible. We went to downtown Nashville to kill time because we had arrived at 1PM and check in isn't until 3PM. My husband and I chose to stay at Gaylord because it's close to the mall and we thought it would be nice. "I've stayed at better hotels in Nashville"
When we arrived the attendants were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The hotel is beautiful, extremely large, but difficult to navigate without a map. While our stay was comfortable, it was by no means the best. I had three complaints: (1) I got the impression that our room was missed on the furniture movers checklist because […] our suite was cavernous but sparsely appointed. We paid for a junior suite, however, the room we received looked nothing like the pictures on their website. Strike one. (2) Normal check-out is 11:00 am so we requested a late check-out. The hotel manager informed us that we would be charged $10 for each additional hour up to 2:00 after which we would be charged half the room rate. Really? Strike two. (3) The hotel attempted to hold the entire stay's charge on our credit card rather than charge per night. Since my bank issues a combination credit/ debit card, I instructed the clerk to process the transaction as credit, but he told me that he told me that "the system" would not allow him to do that. Having worked on IT systems for major hotels for decades, I knew that what he told me was not true. Strike three. We ended up only staying one night of our two-night stay, and opted for a lower priced and more handsomely appointed room at another hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Complete waste of money"
So, on top of the 350.00 I paid for the motel room I was stuck with a 20.00 charge for parking and a hidden 20.00 for amenities. When I called the front desk and asked what the amenities charge was for they explained to me that it was for the two bottled waters, the TV, the telephone and the WI-FI which we only used the “ free” Wi-Fi. This is corporate […] greed at its finest. Just based on hitting me with hidden charges I will never stay at the Gaylord’s ever again and discourage anybody else from doing so. Sushi rolls are way overpriced and mediocre at best. All I could think about is how much better my sushi place was. Our meal came to 175.00 and again way over priced and not worth it at all. I don’t mind paying 50.00 for a steak if it isn’t all fat. The bartender couldn’t make the simplest of drinks to even mediocre standards. All I could think about was getting home and actually have a decent drink at my favorite place which isn’t a resort. If you just have money to blow for mediocre results then this is just the place for you. In all honesty, we had more fun at the place that we stayed at for 88.00 dollars a night the night before. Save your money folks and go stay at a much cheaper place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
