we didn't journey anywhere else because we enjoyed the wonderful pool setting and the garden setting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
First of all, the hotel is beautiful. The selection of restaurants was great. The free shuttle to Grand Ole Opry & Opry Mills was extremely convenient. The friendliness of the staff & their willingness to help was also impressive. My only complaint is the free shuttle service should also include downtown Nashville. The cost is $20/pp per day or $30/pp […] for a three day pass. If the shuttle to downtown were complimentary then it would be the perfect place to stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"THE place to stay, away from Broadway"
We went to the hotel over a holiday weekend, expecting it to be crowded, and it was. The atriums are beautiful, and it is hard to tell what the weather is doing outside. I would suggest getting an atrium room view. The staff and service is wonderful. Expect to pay about double for any restaurants in the complex. Wonderful location next to the Opry House […] and the Opry Mills mall. Wear comfortable shoes because it is a massive complex with a lot of interesting things to see. Don't miss the fountain show in the Delta complex, or the convention center view from the very top. We stayed in the Cascades and it was great, with a bar and an all day café inside the Cascades. Not so much a great place for kids but a wonderful getaway. Would highly recommend. They go out of their way to make sure you were comfortable and satisfied. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Long walk from room - D1106 to convention center. Lots of taxes added to the bill. Valet parking expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very Pricey Avoid the Holidays"
Check in at 3pm was over 45 people in all lines...no joke. People were furious. We have stayed here before and also in Texas. Gaylord's are top notch and wonderful for business conventions but not for family vacations on the holidays. The pools were packed at all times. No hot tub in the inside pool area which was surprising. We will not pay the high […] price again as other chains have bigger suites and free, fantastic breakfast buffets. Be aware of the additional daily resort fees on top of separate parking fees. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Staff and service are great..."
While the bathrooms are a bit small, the service was great and rooms were very clean. The atrium view is the room type to get for sure. So beautiful. Eating at the hotel is quite pricey as well as any drinks. Overall, a beautiful place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Huge! Very Nice! Very Expensive!"
I love the place. Its just so expensive...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Over charged for parking!"
The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are great as well. We stayed here for the experience. Restaurants within hotel are over-priced. My only real complaint is that they charge a lot per day plus tax to self park! I am not allowed to list the rate on this review or I would. Had I known this in advance I would have stayed elsewhere. It was over my budget. […] Be sure to find out parking rates prior to booking hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Only probably was the line to check in but primarily due to the holiday weekend. VERY nice - would recommend to anyone!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful!!!!! We had a wonderful stay. Thé atrium and hôtel is gorgeous. Thé staff very friendly. We highly recommend thé Gaylord hôtel. It is a placé to experience!! Only suggestion is to have a booth set up in each part of thé atrium to help guest find their way or bave an automated voice tour guide booth.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't bother unless you're ready to throw $$$ away"
Pros: Truly beautiful hotel. You'll feel like you've been whisked away to Europe in some locations and can get a real sense of calm along the water pathways. Cons: Lots of additional fees on top of an already exorbitant rate, including $21 + tax to park each day, "daily resort fee" of $18 for bottle water and access to the gym, restaurants close at […] 10:00 PM on weekends (not good for travelers who are arriving late), $16 to RENT a movie... Bottom line: the resort is designed to squeeze every $ it can from you, be it with over-priced goods and food or charges for amenities that should be standard at a resort of this caliber. However, the real reason Opryland is receiving a low score from me is because of our room service experience. We ordered around 9:50 PM and didn't finish all of our food, so we put it in the mini fridge to snack on later. At around 8 the next morning, room service knocked on our door to pick up the cart. As I was walking to the door - I was asleep, mind you, so it took me a little less than a minute to get alert and moving, the employee LET HIMSELF INTO OUR ROOM! Then he acted shocked that we were still sleeping at 8:00 AM on a Saturday morning... Also, the walls are pretty thin; we could hear the people in the room beside us, as well as the noise from the room above. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bit over rated."
Room was clean, staff friendly, bed not so comfortable. The resort fee didn't include anything spectacular. Next time we visit Nashville we will stay somewhere else. The Opry was fun, resort so-so.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great ambiance and convenient location"
Beautiful enclosed gardens and convenient to Nashville "must see" venues. It was a little annoying to have fees tacked on for self-parking (especially when the parking is on Gaylord property) and for use of fitness facilities weather you use them or not.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Hotel Ever!!!!"
We stayed here for our anniversary celebration, and loved it!! Booked this hotel for my son and his brides wedding night as a surprise. They loved it as much as I did.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Flew in and out of Nashville for a graduation in Kentucky, so we wanted to tag on an extra night at a nice hotel before returning home. Stumbled across Gaylord Opryland and the pictures really caught our eye as my wife loves lush landscaping. The hotel is certainly huge and the high glass canopy makes the entire interior feel like an outdoor garden, […] but with perfect temp and climate. We had planned to use it as a base to explore more of Nashville, but the grounds are spectacular, the restaurants excellent and with great variety, so we ended up spending much more time at the resort than we intended. One could easily spend a few days just inside the hotel and very very happy (but then one would miss all the other attractions Nashville has to offer). We should note that we had a great meal at the Old Hickory Steakhouse (onsite) and our server, Wayne, went out of his way to make it special and gave us a lot of history about the hotel--very entertaining. my wife and I spent 5 days there in celebration of our 50th anv, it is beautiful and relaxing. plan to return on our 60th!Genuine Expedia guest review
This place is great! Very clean, friendly and accommodating. You can tell they work hard to keep this HUGE resort humming and it shows in all the details. Of course the prices kinda reflect this level of goodness. Food and drink prices are high. If you're a vegetarian, you won't get full at dinner for under $40. Parking is an added $21 PER DAY.. but […] you can come and go as you please for that price (which I didn't know). And that's for self-parking. Valet is undoubtedly more. But the staff is friendly and knowledgeable (for the most part...). It's easy to get lost in the maze of hallways and corridors and sometimes the staff was just as confused as I was... anyhow, overall LOVED the place.. thanks! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was one of the worst experiences I've had..."
When I had arrived, I was misinformed about live entertainment on that night which sounded delightful... It turned out not to be as described to me... But instead it was a water fountain set to music for a 10-15 "performance"... I waited thru the 8 PM & 9 PM shows for something "live" but... In an endeavor to find my way back to my room, I was continuously […] misinformed by employees... Then was sent in the wrong direction over & over... It was like they didnt know where it was either! I usually have a goodsense of direction , but this time I wandered around for a VERY long time! Finally some very nice guests took the time to get me back to the Magnolia section! Then on Saturday, I was told that the bus to go downtown left at a particular time & a particular door... I wrote it down on my map in detail to avoid any confusion...Guess what--- it had already left (& I was 5 mins early!) I gave up, just got my car from valet parking & drove myself there! Luckily things began to improve... But by then I just wanted to leave the premises, but I had paid for it already! It was a horrible experience! But the Grand Olde Opry was very good! Hotel staff was very helpful! Everything was wonderful. We ate dinner at Jack Daniel's and it was sooooooo good! We didn't have to leave our hotel for a single thing! Starbucks was right there!! "Bring Your GPS"
Super fun place to stay, but the layout and signage (or lack of it) can be very confusing. The airport shuttle is pricey. The shuttles to Opryland, River Cruise, shopping mall are free, which we appreciated. Snack prices seem awfully high. Overall, staying here was a kick and a huge part of our Nashville fun.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Really a convention hotel"
A very large and spread out resort. Definitely a convention hotel. It's a higher priced hotel, as well as the restaurants within. A great place to do... once. Now we can say we've been there, but on our next visit, we'll stay else where and save big $$$.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice hotel/resort"
I really enjoyed our two nights. The maid was very attentive. Only negative was there wasn't a restaurant to breakfast in (only choices were room service or coffee shop). Parking at $20 was overpriced when you are already paying a lot for the room. The surroundings were beautiful and staff was friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The restaurants are over priced for the quality and the service is slow. I was disappointed in in the cleaning staff. We asked for a additional blanket and it was never delivered. Parking was 20.00 a day plus tax and two days into our stay they increased the price by 1.00 plus tax. I understand they can change […] the price at any time, but when they quote a price, they should honor it. The restaurants where over priced and the service was slow. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
it was an amazing place to stay. Only 1 complaint is that we went to pool in early evening on a beautiful 85 degree day and there was nobody working the bar. I had to walk far into Falls Bar to get drinks and snack and carry back outside. Otherwise loved hotel and cant wait to go back someday.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hospitality galore! They know how to make you feel welcome! Not one person we came in contact with walked by without at least a friendly smile. They are extremely accommodating and friendly! The rooms are a bit small but you don't notice that much with the beautiful balcony overlooking the lush gardens. The food at Ravello was one of the best meals […] I've ever had. "Great Place I recommend it to everyone"
Very pleased, a beautiful place to stay and great atmosphereGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Convenient if attending a conference or event at this facility - it was clean, modern, and featured updated amenities. If just visiting Nashville, I would recommend staying at a hotel more central to the city - the Gaylord is located on the periphery, with pricier and more limited dining options.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was awesome but we didn't give ourselves enough time to enjoy all the hotel had to offer. And they have some awesome packages make sure you check those out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel room plus more"

"Bigger is not always better"
The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. However, I was constantly waiting in lines. Right from the start, I had to wait behind 6 customers just to check-in and every restaurant had a very long line. I also found the layout very confusing. On several occasions, guests stopped me to ask to directions but I was just as lost.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
check in was very disorganize, the receptionist was not friendly and basically did not want to spend a minute longer with us since we were not the higher paying customer. For $300+ the room view was horrible, we didn't even open the blinds. Our room never got serviced by the maids, the hall smelled really bad.Genuine Expedia guest review
Unfortunately we were only at Gaylord Opryland for two nights. It is very convenient to the Grand Ole Opry, with shuttles available to transport everyone. Staff was excellent; everyone was pleasant and knowledgeable. We were disappointed to find our choice of restaurant was closed on Monday evenings. Many were closed Mondays because of general low occupancy […] or so we were told and should not have been told. One restaurant wanted to have a reservation before considering seating us, with many open tables in view. This is a resort for those who want a hotel/resort experience, but not Mondays. This is a very nice hotel if you want to look at extensive indoor gardens, fountains, etc. The quality of the rooms, linens, pillows, etc. is not at all impressive. We spent the night before we arrived at this hotel at a Holiday Inn Express. The room was much nicer at the Holiday Inn Express for a third of the price. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. […] Just know that you are paying for the gardens, flowers, fountains, etc., not for a fancy room. There are also a lot of added fees, but that is true anywhere these days. "Overpriced for what you get."
This would be a great hotel at half the price. However, having spent what I did, I was very disappointed at the lack of amenities. Absolutely nothing is included in the room price other than a clean place to sleep and bathe. Shuttle to the airport? That's going to cost you. Shuttle to downtown Nashville (where you will be dropped in front of one of […] two Gaylord-owned properties)? That's extra, too. The only shuttles that are complimentary go to places to which one could easily walk. The last time I paid this much for a hotel, there was a lovely wine and cheese reception in the atrium every afternoon, and a complimentary breakfast. No such luck here. Not even a cup of coffee is included, unless one counts the one-cup brewer under the sink. Also, I had reserved a room with one king-sized bed, but when we arrived, none were cleaned and available, so they moved us into a room with two queen-sized beds. Perhaps I misunderstood the meaning of the word "reservation". It was like being in a Seinfeld episode. If the national conference I attended is ever booked into this hotel again, I will most likely skip that year's conference. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Beautiful Gardens but rooms nothing special"
The hotel is easy to find and well signed outside. It is very large and gardens are beautiful. Rooms are not that impressive for the price of your stay when you take into accounts that you have to pay for parking and no breakfast of any kind is included..Genuine Expedia guest review
Unfortunately, we had two items stolen from our luggage when we had our car parked and later met our luggage at the room. We would like to reserve our opinion overall until after we see how our issue is handled by the hotel. We were VERY disappointed in what is considered a 5 star hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
