"Family Christmas at Opryland"
Very entertaining Nice family atmosphere. Room was just what we needed for a family Christmas. Thank YouGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful hotel but as others have stated..... Food and drinks are way over priced! Overall value is not good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Getting into the hotel was an incredibly long wait in vehicles outside. Check in was fast but the front desk agent made awkward jokes about not crashing our room and such. When we got to our room it stunk and was very stained and we could not stay there. Rather than offering us anything for our troubles, we were eventually moved to an exterior room […] which did not smell (but the original smelly room had an atrium view). The gardens and pool were very nice, there were lots of options for dining. We were just left unimpressed with the overall service, especially for the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Most everything about the hotel & service was very good. The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was the room(a so called Deluxe room) had only one chair and no table. If I had ordered room service for breakfast my wife & I would have had to take turns eating at the desk or sit on the bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful place to stay!"
We live about an hour from Opryland Hotel. I have always wanted to stay there during Christmas, so this was the year! It is massive in size and getting lost didn't take long. Everything was beautiful. The room was spotless. It was a little noisy and very hard to get any sleep. The bed was very comfortable but I would have liked an extra blanket. You […] have to run the AC even in the winter due to the fact that the Atrium is humid. Wonderful place to stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Opryland 2014 Christmas Trip"
My only disappointment was when I booked the room I asked to be on the atrium side of the hotel. I was told I would have a room overlooking the atrium. When we arrived I was told our room was not on the atrium side and it would be $75 more to have a room on the atrium. That was my disappointment.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A good get away with a lot to do."
Our room had a clanky noise all night long, but we were very far away at the end of Delta room complex and end of a hall way. Christmas is a busy time to visit and therefore, long restaurant wait times; especially for breakfast with one restaurant for 2800+ rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Love this Room"
Was a little skeptical about booking a room with only a sofa bed but so close to Christmas and the price was right. We did have to wait for the room to become available but WOW is all I can say! It was a suite that had a huge bay window overlooking the atrium. Such a beautiful view! It was so nice and had so much room. The sofa bed worked out fine for […] us. We would take it over a regular bed for this room again. This is our 4th time staying at this hotel and have had the standard rooms before. Always been happy with our rooms but this one was a nice surprise! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Atrium and walkways make for a true getaway"
A wonderful experience. Love the huge atrium with all the plants, waterfalls and rocky-like features. It truly is a Christmas extravaganza with the holiday lights and decor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a very good stay. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations and every one of the staff was very helpfulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The atriums were beautiful and christmas decorations were amazing. A little difficult to find out how to participate in some of the activities. Also a little disappointed in the actual room. For the price, would have expected a little more luxury. Also, the parking fee of $21 per day is outrageous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
paid weeks in advance just to find out when we got to our rooms no beds just a couch killed my back and second room was a christmas gift was the same how embarrasingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I have stayed at a lot of places and really wanted this to be special but was disappointed. The room was nice but had no amenities that it said it would, coffee pot, hairdryer, all little things but the little things are what are important. I also felt it was crazy to have to pay for parking when I was staying at the hotel. I grew up in Nashville and […] always dreamed of staying there one day. Now that I have I hate that it was disappointing. And no I will not stay again or suggest that anyone else do so. Sorry Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Check in was at 3 pm my room was not ready until 630 pm. Walkways at night are to dark not well marked and when we asked hotel employees how to get somewhere they couldn't help us. Valet parking was a joke 28.00 dollars and still had to wait almost 2 hours for our car. Holiday lights inside hotel where basically just lights wrapped around palm tree […] trunks. Paid extra for atrium view and was rewarded with a view of a retaining wall and trees. Sidewalk on other side of trees so people walking around looking right at you. No privacy. This hotel is way overpriced and staff does not exhibit the southern hospitality that Nashville is known for. The best thing I can say is that the bed was comfortable. We had a great time. I just wish that the rooms had a microwave in them or at least one by the ice machine on each floor. The ice sculpture, General Jackson Riverboat lunch, and the Rocketts show were fantastic, and the view from our room was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was great - the hotel was beautifully decorated with the Christmas theme. It was worth the trip just for that!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great hotel. Very entertaining. We had a beautiful view of the twin waterfalls in the Cascades. We loved having the balcony. The bedding was just ok and we just had two small pillows. Not enough pillows. Check- in was very fast and no waiting. We arrived early and our room was ready! Most of the restaurants are expensive but the food was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Was not happy about our stay.We call on our way to let them know we would have a late check in. When we arrived at 9:00 PM the room we paid for and reserved was not avialible. They put us in in the farthest corner of the hotel from everything including the parking lot. If you pay for something thru a second vender like Hotels.com you should get what […] you paid for. My daughter and I wanted to go on the carriage ride. We were told that there were 23 slots open and we walked a long way to the carriages. When we got there they said they were booked. We asked her if she was sure and she was not very friendly. She said she was sure. We walked outside to look at the lights and watched the carriages leave empty. I returned […] to tell her that and she said people must have forgotten. All 23. We were not happy. Our room was nice but we had problems with temperature . We would really liked to have had a blanket. I searched everywhere for one. Food was good but really overpriced. The decorations were wonderful. Shuttle to Rocketts was very nice. "Not exceptionally pleased"
Checkin was a nightmare. We arrived for the 3:00 checkin to be told our room wasn't ready and we would receive a text message when it was. An hour and a half later still no message about the room. I had to find one of the people walking around that looked as if might be able to help. His name was John and John went right to work getting our room for […] us. Within 15 minutes he had it fixed. Don't know what the problem was but I feel like if I hadn't gotten John involved we would have had to wait much much longer. We used valet parking which seemed like a good idea at the time. Our new car was returned to us with multiple scratch on one of the lower door panels. Looked like it had come in contact with a concert curb. My husband isn't happy about that. Yesterday I noticed an extra charge to our bank account for $35.00 and change. Don't know what that is for. So as a whole we weren't impressed with Gaylord opryland hotel. We came and stayed but won't be back again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful and popular place to be for the Holidays"
The Christmas holidays are a very popular time to stay at the Opryland Hotel. It is decorated head-to-toe and absolutely beautiful. With that popularity also comes large crowds and long lines beginning at the exit from Briley Parkway to enter the hotel and extending to the valet wait for departure at check-out. "Beautiful, Pricey, Mislead"
The resort was beautiful. The room was comfortable but had some serious confusion on checkin. I rate I booked was what I thought for a double queen or king. When I got there they said did you know this is a room with only a queen sized pull out sofa bed? She said it happens often when they check in people from a 3rd party booking like hotel.com. They […] wanted to charge me 40.00 more per night for a traditional room - one with actual beds!! After much conversation they offered to waive the extra $40.00 per night. Be Aware when you book what you are really getting!! It was a business trip we were splurging a little but the hotel already has extra fees for everything (resort fee, parking fee, wifi, plus double the price for everything else) so an extra $40.00 might not seem much but at such a high price already and being mislead... did not make us happy. "Disappointed in Room Location"
Very disappointed in the view from the room we were given. Took my mother and booked a room with balcony so we could sit out and enjoy the beautifully decorated atriums. They put us in the Delta area "D4002", our 4th floor balcony room overlooked a restaurant roof with their silverware wrapping/bookkeeping area as our "view", not the view I expected […] or paid for. There were no Xmas decorations in that area at all viewable from that balcony. So while most of the areas were beautiful, I was definitely disappointed with being put in the less desirable area of the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
They had a room with just a sofa bed. We offered to pay the difference to get a real bed and they said they didn't have any other rooms available. We checked several websites including their own and they had rooms available on them. They didn't even try to help. We also ate at their Italian restaurant and we waited 20 minutes for drinks because no one […] knew who was supposed to wait on our table. The service at this hotel was terrible. We have always wanted to stay at Christmas time, and we were not disappointed! It was beautiful, all the lights, tree displays and shows! We had a great time. "Parlor room needs!"
I had a room with a couch that made into a bed. It was horrible! You could even seen the lumps before getting into the bed!! I asked that a roll-away be brought in and they did so immediately, but there were no pillows left on the fold out bed or the roll-away. So, I called again and they responded quickly. There was also no extra blanket in the room, […] so I took the blanket off of the hide-a-bed. The first day, my bathroom was freshened although the beds had not been touched, so I called room service and they sent a young man who asked if I wanted the hide-a-bed changed. I explained that I wanted it folded up in order to have a comfortable place to sit since there were only chairs that went with the table. A comfortable chair would have been nice if anyone uses the hide-away. He did so, but just tightened the sheets on the bed and folded it in. I wondered if someone else would use that bed as is even though I had been on it. He didn't touch the other bed. The next day, the bed was straightened, the bathroom freshened, but didn't leave a bath mat. I realize that the hotel was full and I was glad to get a room, but if you are going to have people sleep in it, please make it somewhat comparable to other rooms. The clock was over on the console and didn't have a light to see if during the night. It was just not a comfortable room for $199 per night, especially when the othe rooms were so comfortable. The stay was very enjoyable except for the sleeping arrangements. I made reservations by phone and was supposed to get a king bed. "Do NOT book a Sofa Bed room!"
When booking, I honestly did not realize that I was booking a sofa bed room, and was very surprised when I walked in to find a sofa bed pulled out. With the amount of money invested in the hotel's common areas, it is a shame that the hotel doesn't invest a little more to have decent sofa beds. It was hands down, the most uncomfortable night in a hotel […] bed I have ever had. All I could think about was that 6 or 7 nights of room rates could buy a far superior bed that would make those rooms usable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Expect less and to pay MORE"
visiting relatives in Nashville during week of Thanksgiving. Being from there I knew the hotel was totally decked out with Christmas lights and decor from Thanksgiving until after the new year. However this actually added to our discontent and problems. Every evening when outdoor lights come on at 6 the parking lots (guests) fill up with locals to visit […] hotel and walk/dine/drink and enjoy the decor. Hotel Pay $21.00/day to park "self parking" locals take up these spaces leaving us hiking to additional parking no where near the hotel for two nights. Also over half of the dinning facilities closed at 7pm. Leaving us scrambling for food and ordering room service one night which was a rip off too. They automatically add service and delivery fees equal to less than what we tipped the deliverer of our food. If someone is going to add to my bill I want to know about it! Booked a "special Hotels.com rate" after all service fees, occupational, state, local and hotel taxes it was well over 200.00 each night. Something Hotels.com should have told me. I posted an add for Hotel on my FB page for a free nights parking fee...had to ask for it. Hotel claimed they knew of no such arrangement with Hotels.com?!? Really not what I wanted to hear they honored it for me though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not worth it...underwhelmed"
My husband and I stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend while on our way to Georgia. The hotel was definitely pretty and the Christmas lights and decorations were beautiful. However, the price just seemed ridiculous. The one night stay at $209 seemed reasonable (mind you, the cheapest room available), but then you have to pay a $19 resort fee and $21 […] just to park your car there, even more for valet parking. Then, everything else costs, like food and services. The $19 resort fee seems like a dumb fee, just a way to make extra money, because you already paid an arm and a leg for the night stay and nothing is included in that except for the room (and we got the cheapest room, the rooms with the atrium view were really high). Room service prices are insane, the cheapest items near $10 for receiving hardly anything. We ate at Jack Daniels, which cost us $70, and I was not impressed with the meal at all. We have ate better meals for half the price at better restaurants. It was nice to walk around in the atrium and look at everything, but if you are on a budget, do not stay here. It's just not worth the (large amount of) money. I wish we would have stayed somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
