Comfort Inn & Suites by Seaside Convention Center/Boardwalk - Seaside

We took a chance on a room being available in Seaside and Hotel.com said there was availability at Comfort Inn. It was only 3 blocks from the beach, right on the main road in Seaside, so we grabbed it. When we checked in we were told that although we had booked a 2 queen bed room the reservation came across on their end as a king jacuzzi suite and that […] was the only room they had. Fortunately we had brought a large air mattress, but with 5 of us it was still a bit of a squeeze. The room was nice, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel hall and stairs were not real clean. The breakfast was the usual when it's included, but it was decent. We had a great time and would certainly stay here again. Read more

This was our third or 4th time staying here when we go to seaside, we've stayed at the other ones too and just prefer this one.Clean, convenient and staff is always very nice and helpful. Good breakfast selection, and we got a nice upgrade for free since it was slow. Thanks for a great getaway Comfort Inn!!!

Although Comfort Inn does not have an ocean view, it is located on the river and is in a very nice location. It is conveniently located near shopping and dining and is within a 2 - 3 block walk of the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. Our only concern was that the desk chair was positioned at a low height and […] we were not able to adjust it. This made using the desk uncomfortable. We did not ask the staff about this, therefore they did not have a chance to fix the chair or to switch it for another one. Had it been a great concern to us, we would have said something to them. We stayed in one of the suites with the king sized bed, fireplace, and in room jacuzzi tub. It was pricey, but overall I think it was worth it. It was also really nice that a very fun arcade was right down the street to hang out at after our days on the beach. The only disappointment was that the jacuzzi jets were broken when we arrived, but were fixed […] the next day. The staff was very nice. Great room right on the river in the heart of Seaside. Our balcony was great and relaxing, right on the water and overlooking town. The free breakfast we actually good quality as well. Perfect central location for everything. We ended up being able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Had a wondertime.

We had a wonderful experience at Comfort Inn at Seaside, OR. Michelle (night desk clerk) was magnificent! Lauren (day desk clerk) was also very friendly. They were so accommodating. Two of the 3 of us have mobility issues, and the women made sure that we had easy access to everything.

The hotel is very nicely located along a river and a very short walking distance from most points of interest in the town. Rooms were nice with a small balcony overlooking the river for morning coffee or evening cocktails. An ocean view would've been nice but this room was fine, and as I said...a few blocks from the beach/promenade.

It was a pretty small room, extremely small balcony, and the closet mirror was broken which would have been a safety hazard if I had a small child with me. There was no temperature controls in the room and no window that opened. To cool down I would have had to leave the door open all night on a first floor room, definately not safe! The hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast selection was great. We just had a problem with the cleanliness in some areas. The bedspreads were noticeably stained on both queen sized beds and when we reported this, the staff brought one replacement that was also stained. They felt helpless in finding any clean ones. A few other maintenance items […] needed attention like a bifold closet door that was falling off the top track and a noisy exhaust fan. When we made our reservation we requested a non-smoking room, but were given a room that either was a smoking room, or had the lingering odor from what use to be a smoking room. Not too fun when you have a baby. We would have asked for a new room, but they said they were all booked. The floors were rather dirty, and we tried not to look too closely […] at the comforter which did not smell too great. The air conditioner made a loud rumbling noise, so we weren't able to use it. The fan in the bathroom was either broken or did not exist; it was a little hard to tell. The receptionist seemed a little overwhelmed (I think they were understaffed). I heard her tell another couple that she would have to get permission to leave the front desk in order to fix their toilet. Why was SHE the one having to fix the toilet? It was a Friday night, prime check in time, and she was the only one able to check people in and fix toilets? Seemed a little strange. The overall feel of the room was very similiar to that of a lower quality motel (Motel 6, Super 8, etc) and not that of a "comfort" inn. Read more

Loved this hotel. Central to everything. The beds are rather hard. My husband had a hard time sleeping, but I was ok. I would suggest bringing your own pillow top. We have already booked for next year. Excellent continental breakfast. Hotel staff is super nice.

We paid for a room with a balcony, and initially we were given a room without one. This was corrected quickly, so no real complaint there. My biggest complaint is the condition of the carpets. At 4am, we were told we could check in early and just pay an early check in fee. However, We arrived at 5:30am and was told by the same person that we had to come back at 8am. So we slept in the car for 3 hours before they would check us in. Not very accommodating and lacked customer service quality. Though, we still had a great time because it was […] nestled in a great location, on the side from traffic and walking distance from all the shops and the beach entrance. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and they did not offer anything special or even honored checking us in early. That would have been a nice accommodation since we drove for over an hour and a half at 4am. There was actually free breakfast included in the stay, but the food was mediocre. was good, indoor swimming pool was deceiving, swimming pool was only about 5-6' wide and very tiny. Unable to use the swimming pool as it was way too small. very dissapointed because my children were really looking forward to use the indoor pool. Hotel is within walking distance to various restaurants, aquarium, and beach.

A couple of the reception staff were a little brusque. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. Breakfast fare was limited and didn't have many low fat choices. Not worth the cost and we would not stay there again.
