The room was clean, the staff was friendly and the coffee shop had decent, quickly prepared food. The hotel exceeded my expectations especially considering I paid under eighty dollars a night. I suppose if I paid over one hundred and fifty a night I would have been very disappointed. The reality is if you are looking for a gorgeous room, you will not come to Vegas. Your time should be spent gambling and in shows or partying. Not measuring your hotel room size.

This specific Clarion was in a prime location to the Las Vegas Strip, Fremont St, Hard Rock hotel and Casino. All of which were within walking distance. The general upkeep and maintenance of the rooms was not stellar, but the service was superb and quite friendly. All-in-all, a great place for cost and location in Vegas....also, only 10 min drive to the airport.

I had to find a quick place to stay since the band I was traveling with had to leave a day earlier than expected and I found the Clarion. It was just a few blocks from the hotel I was already at previously so it was a breeze to get there, the hotel staff was VERY helpful, friendly and all around top-notch. The price paid for the suite was well worth it and I would go back to this location again in a heartbeat if passing through town or just needing an inexpensive hotel for a few days for business, etc.

I was going on a girls trip and just needed an overnight stay in Vegas and wanted something cheap. I do realize you get what you pay for, so I didn't have very high expectations. The service at the front desk was poor, the teenager receptionist made it seem like we were intruding by checking in. I asked for an additional room since we added a girl last minute. After she told me the price, I told her we got it for less at hotels.com. She said, "then go book on the internet", so I did (thanks hotels.com). The room smelled and looked old, but it did meet the expectations that I had going in. The thing we didn't expect was the next morning...after a smoked-filled evening, I was looking forward to a shower. Guess what? NO WATER! I couldn't even flush the toilet. I went to my friend's room...no water there either. We went to the front desk and they told us that the Hard Rock construction was probably affecting their water lines. What a line of bull...they did offer us a free cocktail for our inconvenience. When booking with hotels.com, we got a breakfast coupon. Since we didn't shower, we didn't want to go out anywhere nice. The meal was decent and I paid with my card and gave them my coupon. When I got home, I saw that my credit card was charged for the entire amount with no coupon credit. I'm not going to try to call and reconcile it because I don't need the free cocktail. In summary, go at own risk and don't expect to shower or flush.

there are many outstanding places to stay in vegas. this is not one of them. Staff was rude, unaccommodating and just plain unhelpful. After requesting a non-smoking room I was given a smoking room that reeked even after they supposedly put an ozone machine in it. The room was uninhabitable. When I complained they said they were full (which is understandable) but did nothing to help me and made me pay for the stay even though I had to go to another hotel. This they blamed on the fact that I booked through hotels.com which doesn't guarantee non-smoking requests. While perhaps understandable, between the two entities neither was willing to take responsibility for the fact that the room was not habitable. I would not recommend this hotel and in the future will not be booking through hotels.com

Stayed in this hotel to add an extra night to a business trip. Although it does not compare to the expensive places on the strip, it is a good place for the budget minded people. It is an older facility, but the beds were comfortable and the building was quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast in the onsite restaurant was good. They do provide a shuttle to/from airport and sometimes to different places on the strip. If you have to use a taxi service from this hotel, be prepared for a long wait, but that is normal for Vegas.

When we arrived the lobby was not clean. It took them 2 hours to get our room cleaned and ready. We had to walk through a building out into a dark parking lot into an hallway with no lights to get on an open elevator. The neighborhood was not the safest. There is a strip club in the parkinglot of the hotel. The room was not clean, it had a stale smell. The bed was lumpy and the pillows smelled funny. The picture of the hotel on the site did not resemble what we stayed in. The room was very small, and the carpet was not vaccumed and had stains all over it.

It's nothing fancy, but for the price, the hotel is very good. The room is clean, even though furniture and carpet had seen better days, and the lobby is dated (think 70's tackiness). It has all basic amenities: iron/ironing broad, hair dryer, free wi-fi, big bath towels. Staff is friendly and helpful. The shuttle service will do pick up/drop off to airport and it also had a few drop off points on the strip. It's located 1/2 way between LV convention center and airport, which worked well for me.

This was a very pleasant small, quiet, non-casino hotel. Attractive lobby and pool area, nice room. Would highly recommend it except for a very frustrating episode with the shuttle. They told me their free shuttle was available to take me to the Strip, about a 15-minute walk. I requested it the required 20 minutes ahead of when I wanted to go meet up with a tour van on the Strip for a trail ride outside the city. After 25 minutes, they said the van was going to the airport instead. I had 20 minutes and literally ran to Ceasar's Palace. No other way to go. Somehow I made it but it wasn't fun.
