the hotel was the perfect place to reconnect with my former fiance after 29 years. The tropical indoor setting reminded us of meeting in Hawaii...great place to stay, close by to many attractions. The restaurant overlooking the pond was great, both our meals and service top notch. Thank you for a beautiful weekend!

The parking was terrible, the toilet kept running all night and when I told the front desk they just said they would have maintenance check, the bartenders in the different hotel bars were not consistent with their drinks, the elevators were so slow and lastly, the white blankets on both beds had dirt on them. Yuck! I won't go back there ever.

This is one of the best resorts I have been to in the Chicagolabd area. Perfect if your looking for a getaway in the winter since they have an indoor area that looks like an outside park and all of their buildings are accessible through underground hallways.

We loved the hotel, thought it was in a great, safe location. The hotel itself is unique and beautiful and the employees were always friendly. My only complaint is our room did not have a dryer. Not a big problem until we had to call down three times to ask for one. We were on our way out and that was holding us up. You could tell the place was rundown before you went inside. The whole hotel smelled terrible like they tried to get the smoke smell out with heavily floral scented cleaner. Check in was at 3 but we had to wait until 4:30 because our room wasn't clean. Got the the room and it didn't look very clean. Bits of stuff on the floor, stained carpet and furniture. […] Paint chipping off the walls. We had no wash rags or hand towels. Don't know why we had to wait so long because it still wasn't clean. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. The toilet ran the entire time. Also we were next to an adjoining room and could hear everything from the other room and the hallway. My room was on the first floor of the resort. As a result, I could hear all of the noise from guests walking throughout the lobby and hallway. Additionally, the power went out. Overall the visit was good but we had a situation on our last night where the elevators were not working, the TV cable was not working and the Smoke Detector went off 7 times between 1am and 5am. My biggest frustration was that the staff seem very disinterested in helping with any of these issues. I had to walk to the top floor w/out an elevator. Got to the hotel and it looked nice from the outside and the lobby. Got to the room and it looked nice until I went to close the curtains. They have a portable room air conditioner in there with the vent going through the window and pink insolation covering the window where the vent was and had duct tape holding it in. We went there to celebrate our 32nd Wedding Aniiversary. Accomodations were outstanding. The staff was courteous and professional. We got a King suite, very clean, with great views. We enjoyed drinks at The Cave Bar, the bartender Melissa was very polite, then we enjoyed a lavish dinner at the Shiraz on the Water. The food was outstanding and the service […] exceptional. I enjoyed a lavish desert, back to The Cave for evening drinks. In the morning to the Mastersclub for a nice brunch which was delicious. We are looking forward to yet another stay. We decided to bring our toy poodle with us, rather than boarding him. They do charge a fee. no matter the size of the dog...that really was the only dislike. My family enjoyed this hotel as used the mini golf course and both indoor and outdoor pool. The staff service at the hotel was very nice and threw in some freebies for the kids (mini golf and breakfast). Our room was a nice size with two queen beds and a portable crib. This is about the 10th time we have stayed at this hotel and I am usually very satisfied. This time I was in a new room that was about 1/2 the size of any before. It looked to me that several rooms were made out of one big room because I believe this was a very new room. I liked the size of the room in my previous stays. Hotel is nice, room is cozy. I like the bedding soft and lots of pillow which feels like home. However, 1 thing i was dissappointed is the bath tub which is clugging. You have to wait for few minutes till water is down before next person can take a shower which is really inconvenient. Perfect for a family getaway. On site, they had a golf course, mini-golf, a spa, a hot tub and indoor/outdoor pools. I don't golf but I do spa and the spa was wonderful. They have a great staff too. Very helpful and friendly.
