My son and I were visiting Ole Miss and needed a hotel after driving ten hours from Houston, Texas. This Days Inn was located in the perfect location off the freeway. It was a short thirty minute drive the next morning.

The hotel was definitely not a 3.5 star. The ratings must have been done by the hotel owner. The service checking in/out was excellent but the hotel was seedy. The tub was dirty, the toilet leaked, and the coffee maker was broken. The sheet didn't fit the bed - the top sheet didn't completely cover the top of the mattress much less hang off the sides […] any. There were no outlets available so when I moved furniture to reach one there was a tremendous amount of trash on the floor. Just a very disappointing stay. Read more

When I booked this hotel, I was not expecting something really nice. But I was wrong. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the facilities worked as intended. Even the Internet was fast. The only possible complain may be that the heater was a bit loud (probablly, some cleaning and lubricating would solve this problem). Anyway, considering […] sub 30F temperature outside, it was OK. Breakfast was also pretty nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking spots are wide, so, it is no problem to park properly and safely. Finally, there are many shopping places around (Walmart, etc.), and a car wash that is very convenient. There was used soap and shampoo in the shower. When I questioned the cleaning lady she said she had not cleaned the room yet, only made the bed. There were no Kleenex in the room or coffee for the coffee maker. You had to go outside to get to the lobby/breakfast area. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, yogurt, and danish. The Employee that checked us in was VERY Helpful and Courteous throughout our stay of two days. The Maintenance Man was on top of things. We requested a light bulb for bathroom, and he brought one right away. The knob on AC/Heater had been removed or damaged, prior to our stay, and he repaired asap, upon our call to front desk. We heard a little mouse […] throughout the night, and reported to front desk. There is a field right outside that room. Could be the reason? All in all, very comfortable stay. Read more

I booked while standing at front desk. Because of bad reviews, I was skeptical and wanted to see and smell room first. I was pleasantly surprised. I did not see any of the problems that I had read about. I could not have asked for a better or cleaner room. The breakfast was continental with coffee, juices, cereals, bagels, toast, pastries and fruits. There […] were no "do not disturb" signs in room. Felt a little unsafe-posted parking sign that basically told us we were parking at our own risk---The main office/lobby door locked 10pm-6am you have to talk to attendant thru a currency type window glass-....Someone tried our door handle appx.3am-----I definetly will NOT stay there again

When a motel gets two stars it means no more then that. My daughter was affaid and I realize that she nor I have the ablitiy to stay somewhere less then three stars. The room was depressing, dark and gloomy. The floors in the bathroom were nasty. We did survive our night, but never again will we stay there.

Young men in room 102 partied all night, barbecued in the parking lot, and I'm sure they had women there as I heard female voices. We turned the air conditioner up and were able to sleep that way. Had we booked more days,we wouldn't have stayed at that motel, and we won't be back!!!

This hotel is a very clean and comfy hotel, every room I have stayed in has been clean, free of insects and creepy crawlers. The staff is very friendly. Its conveniently off I-55 in Batesville.

The hotel clerks were very kind and helpful. They accomodated by request for a room change because the bathroom light was out in the first room I was assigned. The rooms are small, but functional for a short stay. The iron was tarsnished. I refused to use it and purchased one instead. The ironing board cover was badly stained. The worse experience ever! Upon entering the room, it smelled like a smokey filled room. The room evidently had not been cleaned, or aired out. Instanly after walking in just to sit my luggage down, with the first breath of smoke my allergies started, by the time I left (I was only there for the weekend) I couldn't talk. This made the rest of my trip […] unbearable. After putting my bags down my son and I noticed that several of the light bulbs were out. I sent my son to the first desk to tell them about the bulbs. The person at the front desk sent my son back to the room with a pack of light bulbs for us to change them out ourselves. It didn't matter that one of the bulbs was in the ceiling in the hall. This could really be a pleasant property with a little more effort from management. If the staff had been more efficient, it wouldn't matter that the property is old and outdated. Read more
