"Price Gouged in the dark!"

I visit this area twice a year for business and I will NEVER stay there again!! The halls were dark and the carpet dirty. The power went out two mornings in a row while I was trying to get ready to go...the whole floor was dark... One towel and wash cloth in the room is not enough... If you like a room from the 70's and dirty and dark and expensive this is the place for you!

Very nice place. Didn't like the shower head, and the tile was cut out around the toilet and looked tacky, but the rest of the room was perfect. The bed was COMFORTABLE, the decor was relaxing (none of that flowerey bedding or curtains anywhere). The service was excellent, food was GREAT and priced right except for the breakfast buffet, which I think was a bit overpriced, but found out later that they had coupons at the front desk. The pool area was fabulous. The water was crystal clear. Towels were set out on the sun chairs and the iron fence was surrounded by bushes for an elegant style.

While the hotel was inexpensive, it was dirty and smelled like cigarettes (we were told it was a non-smoking room, but it smelled like someone had been smoking in there for years). Otherwise, the staff was reasonably friendly and helpful.

So-so hotel. Very convenient location. Hotel advertises free breakfast but after we ate, the attendant asked for breakfast coupons or there would be an $8.95 charge per person. I talked to the manager on duty who offered $4.00 off per person but lastly agreed to give us the free breakfast coupons.

Check in was smooth, the restaurant down stairs (Legends) was nice and convenient, the location of the hotel to the airport, restaurants, and shopping was great, but the room was disgusting. We staying at the Clarion Greensboro Airport for two nights in April 2008. When we arrived everything looked "ok" until I went into bathroom. There was "body hair" in the bathtub. I dropped something on the bathroom floor and when I picked it up I noticed a razor blade underneath the sink. The next day, while showering, I noticed a "body hair" (of a noticebly different color) tangled in the wash rag. I gag when thinking about when the sheets might have last been changed. I would not recommened this hotel to anyone. As we discovered, there is a shopping area just across the interstate from the Clairion that contains much nicer hotels. Westover is the name of that area. I would try there, unless you are looking for an exotic car wash. There is one right around the corner of the Clarion Greensboro Airport - and no, I'm not kidding.

Maybe I was there on a busy weekend. Kids were running up and down halls and stairs. The light went out in the bathroom and the bathroom faucet came off. The worst thing was I woke up to a table full of ants.

This is convenient to the airport and to High Point. It's always hard to find a decent hotel during the furniture market without paying very high rates. This is a satisfactory hotel.

"The Hotel is Ok."

The front lobby is very nice but the hallways, for walking to your room, seems very dated; there were a slight musty order present. The room was decent, could be updated with a LCD/Plasma or flat screen TV instead of the 'old school' large CRT TV. The worst feature, in my opinion, for this hotel is the shabby breakfast. The pancakes was luke warm, the syrup was cold, the butter was cold and hard to spread, they didn't have a easy access microwave to heat the food. The selection was poor - pancakes, bacon, eggs, assorted cereals; It was a quasi self serve. The eggs where tasteless and didn't have condiments such as cheese or onions, peppers, tomatoes; which could be added. There where no cups/glasses out so I could select the only two drinks; apple or orange juice; I had to wait for the waitress so she cold give me one. There was only D milk, no skim or 2%, 1%. Check in/out went smoothly but I will not stay in that particular (Clarion) hotel again and not sure if I'd stay in another Clarion hotel in a different location. I do accept that if I had paid attention before booking my stay I would have noticed the three and one half star rating and would have made a different selection of hotel.

You could see where the hotel has attempted to make improvements; however there was still significant work to be done. Especially in the bathrooms.
