"Beautiful, boutique hotel with a perfect location"
This was a perfect choice for our weekend getaway with friends! The rooms are all so quaint and unique! Staff are wonderful and love the wine cellar! The location is perfect for sight seeing, bars & restaurants!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Penn's View Spring '14"
I always stay at Penn's View when in Philadelphia. Great location and handy train service from airport; changing to the subway to within 50' of hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is a very cozy hotel. Antique looking, wood floors, classy bathroom, fire place. It was visiting grandma' . I really loved it! The staff? very courteous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint, but not comfortable"
The room itself was adorable, but the bed just about killed our backs. Combine a hard, overworn bed with stiff fiber-filled pillows and it made for a restless, not relaxing sleep. The location is fantastic, so it made a great hub for going out to eat, seeing the cities sites, and enjoying a whirlwind visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a comfortable hotel in a great location. We checked in and had enough time to walk around the neighborhood and see the sights before dinner. There are several places to have a drink or eat nearby. The bar in the hotel is lovely and they have a huge selection of wine available by the glass. There is also a resturant in the hotel but we didn't […] try it. The room was clean, beautufully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast is included and good. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. Parking is in a surface lot next to the property, which is staffed 24 hours. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Run by real professionals"
The hotel was right off of 95. When it was time to leave a couple of turns put me back on the road home. The subway was a few stops from central Philadelphia, I didn't have to take my car out of the lot. The restaurant in the hotel had the largest selection of wines in the world. The Staff Couldn't Have Been More Courteous and Professional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and luxury feel"
The location cannot be beat. It is in the heart of the historical district.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, hotel with character"
Hotel has a lot of character. Coffee and citrus water is available as soon as you walk in the door. Staff was friendly. The free breakfast was good and in a pleasant atmosphere. Awesome location! Within walking distance of historical sights and nightlife.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great service, wonderful location"
We stayed at Penn's View on my son's spring break while touring several cities including Philly. Everyone was so nice, from the front desk to the wait staff. Highly recommend !!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
location very close to subway stop, and within walking distance to most of the historical sights. Noise level is high due to I-95, but wasn't intrusive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Will stay again!"
Staying here was very nice and relaxing it was very close to everything and still nestled away from noise of the city the only problem i encountered was the elevator was out of service for a while. but the staff and breakfast were greatGenuine Hotels.com guest review
very nice hotel, my girl friend loved the jet tub, only 5 blocks from independence hall and all the old city attractions, plenty of food and drink spots on market street, would differently stay here againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel by historical attractions!"
We had a wonderful stay! Great hotel for the price, room was nice and clean with a nice view of the city/water. Excellent free buffet breakfast and very nice staff!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Such a great location - in the heart of Old City"
What a beautiful hotel! It was such a blessing to find this hotel - so close to such wonderful sites and delicious cuisine. I will return!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Elegant but intimate historic hotel"
I had a wonderful deluxe room with queen bed, balcony, fireplace and marble jetted bath for only $128 a night via Expedia. The furniture and decor is vintage and exquiste. The staff is very friendly and personable. They serve a free continental breakfast that was quite extensive, although the dinner portions at their restaurant are quite small, French […] portions. All in all a lovely experience staying there! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel but....."
The hotel was great. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful. The only drawback was I-95 is literally right outside the front door. We heard traffic all night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. We loved the boutique style. We WILL stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great first time experience"
I loved it! The convenient location to my client and downtown Philly. I'm definitely planning on coming back. They have coffee/hot water in the lobby which is the only thing i wish was available in the room. Other than that, everything was splendid!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to everything we needed to do!"
The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. The hotel is older but very kept. The parking was expensive for the hotel. They don't have places to park so you have to park in a parking lot that cost 23.00 a day.But overall we enjoyed our stay, we were there for the commissioning of our son's ship for the navy at Penn's Landing. "great location but thin walls"
This hotel is in a good location within walking distance of historical sites and good restaurants, which is the only nice thing about it. The walls are very thin, we were awoken at 2 am to the couple next door to us, as well as the restaurant below throwing out their trash full of glass bottles. The parking lot was pretty small and had to double park […] many cars. The bathroom and room we had were small and overall pretty overpriced. But at least they offer WiFi and breakfast with your stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love Old City, Philadelphia"
Love the quaint boutique quality of this hotel. Comfy rooms, lovely continental breakfast. Great restaurant and bar downstairs. Highly recommend staying there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One night stay to attend comissioning"
The historic charm and ambiance is really a plus for this hotel . Location is outstanding, especially for our purposes. we were only there one night this time to attend the commissioning of the USS Somerset. Our room had been fully renovated, very comfortable and clean, the windows and doors sound proof the room so well we did not even hear the ship's […] horn! some might be hesitant due to location so close to I-95, but we did not hear anything from outside. So easy to get to, the parking right next door is very convenient and affordable for the area. Subway across the street as well as bus transportation if needed. We plan to go to Philly for the 4th and definitely want to stay here again, working on reservations now! Thanks to the staff for creating a warm and inviting experience. "Really nice experience"
From the moment I called the hotel to get exact directions to their location to the time I checked out, I experienced nothing but courtesy and pleasantness. The room was amazing and their restaurant and bar are stellar. I will definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming hotel with friendly stuff."
This hotel was close to all the historic sights we planned to visit and they had a parking lot with discount rate (many hotels don't have a lot or charge upward $50 a day). They let us checked in at 10:30 and gave us a better room with fireplace. Super friendly staff. We wanted to have a hot tea and they prepared two cups of them no questions asked […] at late night. The breakfast buffet is meh but there are so many good restaurants near by. Over all we were very please and would recommend and be happy to return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location with lots of charm"
We stayed for one night. It's right next to the highway in Old City, but you don't hear any traffic from inside. The parking lot right outside the hotel was a nice plus. We checked out at 10 and were able to leave our car there until we left the city around 1 (you could leave your car there until 3 without being charged extra). The hotel is conveniently […] located a block from Penn's Landing, the Franklin Fountain, and a few blocks from major tourist attractions. We walked to most of the places we wanted to go in the city. Don't be intimidated by the non-central location. It's easy to walk to places and there's a bus stop and train stop nearby. The staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was delicious. We definitely would recommend this hotel for those looking for a cozy B and B feel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Comfortable and Close"
The Penn's View Hotel is a boutique hotel and as such I expect quirkiness. It doesn't have all the amenities of your big chain hotels but it was charming, the staff was very helpful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Each one is different. It is located in the Old City which makes it a few blocks away from some great restaurants and historic […] attractions. I would stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Only downfall was the rooms smelled like a retirement home. Service was exceptional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was very charming and beautiful. Bartender was so nice and showed us a map of city and where to go. Room was clean and comfortable. Steps from the Septa bus. Nice bars and restaurants in area. 5 blocks from the Liberty Bell and other historic buildings. Within walking distance from Reading Market. Will definately go back to same hotel with next […] visit. "Great location, charming, friendly staff"
I would definitely recommend this hotel, for proximity to public transportation, wonderful local shops and dining, fabulous complimentary breakfast, and a very helpful staff. "Great hotel!!! Would deff stay again!!"
Great hotel!!!!!! We got to the hotel 3 hours before check in and we were able to check in as soon as we got there. We went to our room and noticed we only had a queen bad and we booked a king bed. We went to the front desk and explained our issue to the woman there. She was very polite and looked up a few other room options for us. She gave us keys […] to two of the top of the line rooms and let us go look at them and decide what one we wanted to stay in. We decided on the room with the exposed wood beams on the ceiling. We went back down and told the woman at the front desk we wanted that room. She looked up the prices per night for it and told us we could upgrade for only a extra 30$ a night or have a room like our original but with a king bed for the same price. Needless to say for only $30 extra we upgraded. The room was AMAZING!!!!! It had an amazing view of the river, a fireplace, a king bed and a jaquizzi. The staff was very kind and helpful. We will deff. Be staying there again. Best hotel I have ever stayed at!!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed there the night before the Philly marathon. They catered to this crowd, and even opened breakfast before 5 am so that we could eat. Much appreciated! Only flaw was that the restaurant "prix fixe" for the night before was not enough food: had to supplement.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and Lovely Hotel"
The hotel is located right on Market Street, which is close to great restaurants, public transportation and great shopping. The rooms were very clean and lovely. The staff was very sweet and accommadating. The one thing that was kind of a bummer was that the wireless internet was not working for me.
