"Historic hotel close to Philly attractions!"
I always like to stay at this hotel when I am in the city. It's quaint, the staff is pleasant and accommodating. I love the jacuzzi tub! It's close to everything. It is a little expensive, but worth it!Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent boutique hotel in Philadelphia. Close to everything and a sweet place to stay that is a reprieve from the box hotels. I would stay again and highly recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The location was close to all of the historic sites and the subway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
If you enjoy a quant atmoshere nestled in the midst of historic PA then a great place to stay. If you don't prefer a very hard bed then this isn't the choice for you. Many had raved about the breakfast, but a waffle and fruit isn't that fantastic of a meal for me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"1st time in Philly"
This weekend getaway was our first time in Philadelphia. I chose the hotel for it's charm and because of it's size. I was looking for something unique and we found it in Penn's View! The hotel is located in tge historic district and within a few blocks of all things history. There are many restaurants to choose from within walking diatance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Stay in Philly"
Excellent hotel with easy and ample parking, great rates, and great food! Its a smaller hotel but feels quaint and fancy. Easy access to everything(Market St., Liberty Hall, South St., all attractions). Great staff and a great stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We attended a concert in Camden and stayed here. Hotel is awesome. Great location. Parking is $23 for 24 hrs right next door. Hotel is close to Camden ferry, Penns Landings and all the restaurants on Market St. Room was a little on the small side but had everything we needed. We will be staying there again. Thank you Penns View!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"I'll stay again"
This was my third visit to Philly but the first time I'd stayed in this area. Initially worried about the prospect of noise from the busy roads when I arrived, it was actually extremely quiet. I'd also arrived early and the staff were very accommodating and let me check in early. I had a very comfortable room, scrupulously clean. The hotel was ideal […] for what I wanted, to wander around the Old City and to attend a concert at the Tin Angel (2 blocks away). You also get a generous breakfast. Recommended. Our room had a private terrace which was nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. When they saw I was traveling with a child they have me a room with a pull-out couch. I would definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Passing through...time matters, location does too"
This hotel is across from Penns Landing, with river view. The hotel restaurant is in Guinness book of records for most open bottles of wine. The restaurant is pricey but very good. If you head towards the mall, old town you will pass Campos, voted one of the best philly cheese steak sandwiches. My husband and I shared one, it was huge and very good. […] We then went on to hit the mall, to see the liberty bell and independence hall among several other historic items. Ended up at old city pub. This hotel is absolutely conveniently located within walking distance to all the historical sites, and manages to be near a number of restaurants. We didn't do anything at Penn's landing as we were only passing through and had only a single day. This hotel also serves breakfast, for a nice send off, easy to get back on the interstate. Off street parking is run by a different company and is pricey but next to the building and is convenient. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful hotel 1 block from the 2nd st. metro"
This is a great location and a great hotel, with fantastic service, clean rooms, and wonderful charm. Located one block from the 2nd street subway station, and only a couple blocks from Elfreth's Alley, it's firmly nestled in the old town. The staff were friendly, helpful, and eager to please. The rooms are not huge, but are immaculately clean and well-equipped. […] What you miss in size is made up for in character. The bar in the restaurant on the first floor had a knowledgeable bartender, a good selection of signature cocktails, and an amazing wine menu. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in search of a reasonably priced Philadelphia hotel in a great location. Also, the soundproofing between the rooms is wonderful - I slept like a baby. It was truly a wonderful stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good Hotel for a Good Price"
My wife and I stayed 1 night over the 4th of July. The staff was friendly and professional (Antonio was very helpful and pleasant!). There were several choices within walking distance for food and drinks as well as Independence hall and The Liberty Bell were only a 10-15 minute walk. The staff all spoke English well, I do not like feeling like a foreigner […] in my own country so that was much appreciated! The only things that kept us from giving a "5" was that there was not a small refrigerator in the room and the bath tub was not as clean as it should have been. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and will return if we visit Philly again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just blocks away from Independence Hall."
This hotel was a very pleasant stay. It is on the National Historic Registry and is a very well-maintained hotel and perhaps one of the greatest continental breakfast we've experienced the last two weeks of our journey. Largest offering of fruit, pastries, eggs, breads, waffles, coffee and juices. Located only a few blocks from Independence Hall and […] is located in Olde Town. Staff is very friendly and helpful information. We will definitely stay here again in the Philadelphia area. We were able to celebrate the Fourth of July in Philadelphia - what a great experience. "great old fashion hotel"
We had a great experience with this hotel. Location was great, staff also, free breakfast, can't beat the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
A friend and I stayed here just one night while visiting the city for a wedding. The location was very convenient to Old City. The hotel does not have free parking, though you can park in an adjacent lot. I'd recommend calling ahead to find out the cost, but the other lots nearby are about the same. The room we stayed in had lovely restored exposed […] brick and a neat window mural. We released that the window mural served a better view than what our real windows showed (a wall, oh well). The bed was a little soft, but comfortable enough. The bathroom is quirky and a little small, with not so great lighting. The shower was fine, but could stand to be updated. Check in was easy, check out was a little slow, but overall service was good. Cute place! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was very historic and the location was perfect to tour old city from. The room was good. The only complaint is that there was quite a lot of hair left over on the sheets of the bedding. Made it look and feel like room service never changed the sheets.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and Elegant Hotel, Great Location"
The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. The rooms are beautiful. We opted for a room with a jacuzzi tub which was great. The room had a fireplace (did not use as it was June) as well and the whole hotel was immaculately clean. We did not eat at the restaurant except for breakfast but the menu looked very good. The free breakfast was a nice touch. The […] bar at this hotel holds the Guiness World Record for most wines on tap! They have a lot of 'flights' where you can taste 5 different types of wine for the price of about 2 drinks, even a champagne flight. Very nice place to relax and the bartender/sommelier was very knowledgeable and friendly. Location is great too, you can walk to Penn's Landing and Old City very easily. Rittenhouse and Logan Square are walkable if you are up for some exercise. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I didn't want a cookie cutter hotel. On my first visit to the city I wanted something with history and character and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel is located within walking distance of many great locations. The staff were efficient and friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great historic hotel in the historic district of Philadelphia. Close to all the historic sites, Penn's Landing, and great restaurants. The hotel rooms were very nice and the staff was outstanding. "Great boutique hotel, great location"
We stayed there upon the recommendation of friends of ours and were very happy we did. Great location, walking distance to almost everything. Wonderful breakfast, way more than continental. "Loved this Hotel!!!"
This Hotel was great. Great Location (Old City). I got to breakfast an hour late and there was still a bunch of food, plus the breakfast was great. My room was very clean and they even held my bags in a locked room for a couple hours before it was time for me to check in. I'd definitely recommend staying here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel is a quaint place. It is immaculate. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Really enjoyed my stay. Jacuzzi and fire place sets this hotel apart from others.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location in Old Town. Walk every where, close to bus and 2nd street subway. A little noisey due to closeness to expressway but running the fan helped. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Unexpected and delightful"
This was a great place to stay with very friendly personnel and convenient to where we needed to be. Parking next to the hotel was an unexpected plus.and the breakfast was above average. I would come back to this hotel when I come to Philly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Penn's View is a great little hotel located in walking distance of everything. Market Street is steps away and along with Penn's View Landing. Had a wonderful stay! The complimentary breakfast was fabulous. Eggs, and fresh made waffles and lots of other choices along with a nicely appointed eating space started out day with a bang. The hotel is […] easy access from and to I 95 so there can be road noise. Our room was located in the back, so we did not experience any noise what so ever. The room rate was reasonable and we certainly got a lot for our money. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for short stay"
This hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was wonderful and even reached out to us to let us know about possible complications with checking in. The room was beautiful and featured a nice little balcony that overlooked penn's landing. The room was on the small side, so I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay, but for a night or two it was […] just perfect. The complimentary breakfast had many options and was pretty tasty. The location couldn't have been more perfect. The liberty bell, mint, and independence hall are just a few short blocks away and market street is full of great restaurants, shops, and bars. I would recommend parking outside of the city and taking a train to the market east station (~10 blocks away) and walking to the hotel because parking was both expensive and a hassle. Overall, The Penn's View Hotel was great and I would definitely return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ok for the price"
Pluses: clean, safe, good location, free internet in rooms, rooms are nice looking, the free breakfast was very good, and the price was good in comparison to other hotels in the area Minuses: rooms are on the small side. A/C is just a window unit - and it was pretty noisy. The staff was so so. Not very friendly BUT they did give us early access to our […] room which was helpful. Bed was very uncomfortable and therefore neither of us got much sleep. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"2 day stay"
The hotel itself is a great hotel. Enjoyed the wine and the breakfast. Hotel staff very pleasing. However, parking is charged separately, and with another company. Beware: Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle especially if the attendant tells you to leave the keys so they can park it. I have a deep console at which I had a bag of quarters […] I used for tolls inside. When getting to the turnpike I went to retrieve the bag, and it was gone. There was $20 worth of quarters in there. I pulled over and my husband and I both looked and to no avail did not find the money. When I got home, I called the hotel and they directed me to the owner of the company. He treated me like I was the one who misplaced them. Asked me to check again, and said in five years this has never happened. So he can not just assume guilt. As I do understand this and the dilemma, I was not happy about how I was being treated. Basically blamed me. It got heated from there and I reminded him that I am a paying customer and told him that my stuff shouldn't be touched especially since we have to pay to park there. In order for them to even find that bag they would have to dig trough the whole console because I purposely buried them deep and under stuff. Although the hotel can not assume responsibility for this, they need to understand I will never go back there again because I won't pay that company or park with them again. Sad because the hotel itself was nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
