"Pictures look nice but...."
The room/bathroom was nice and clean. Had to pick up sheets and blankets for the pull out couch because the maid didn't leave it in the room. t thought this hotel was closer to the Georgia Aquarium and Coca Cola Museum. It would've been a nice walk but I wouldn't recommend walking through the surrounding neighborhood. The hotel does offer a free shuttle […] to any attraction within 2 miles of the hotel. Ask for Alphonso, he's their best driver! There are only two elevators and one was broken. Then my friend and I were stuck in the other for about 20 minutes. The hotel staff was very nice to us afterwards (= Walls are thin in this hotel...I had to call the front desk about a room full of rowdy girls a few doors down. I won't stay here again unless I have to. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cowboy rides away and won't come back."
We booked through Hotels.com for a concert at Phillips Arena. Our room was on the 17th floor and they only had one very small elevator working. The elevator was stopping on every floor on the way up and down because people on every floor were pressing both buttons just to try to get on. It took us 20 minutes to get down and it took some people much […] longer. They gave us coupons for free drinks at the bar but the bar was closed at 11:30. The hallway in the 17th floor was flooded and there didn't appear to be anyone working on it. If you called ahead to have the valet get your car they blocked them in for lack of parking area and you ended up waiting longer than if you didn't call ahead. A police officer told us we should get a cab instead of walking back to the hotel at 11:15 for our safety. We won't be back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Worst hotel in the Mariott chain."
I love the Mariott name and hotels. This in no way, shape or form meet this. Charged a fee to valet park, I parked the car outside and turned key over to valet and the car never moved. Only one elevator was working. And the front desk, not professional nor knowledgeable. Location right above Underground Atlanta, if you know anything about Atlanta you […] know this is one of the most dangerous parts of town. Hotel was ok. Heat in room did not work, no trash bags in trashcan and, tub was dirty. Had a guest come look for me and my room phone didn't ring. I was sleeping and I am a light sleeper. My guest caught the last train and couldn't stay in the lobby. "Convenience is everything"
The hotel was in an area that needs Security 24/7. I was not aware at time of booking. Our truck could not fit in the parking garage so we had to valet park - $30/night. Very small lobby. Very friendly hotel staff. Accommodating valet staff, called us by name :) Disappointed with the bar/lounge area, it wasn't open when we got there around 9 ish. Our […] room was comfy. only (1) tv remote with (2) tvs. the 15th floor, which we stayed, did not have an ice machine so we had to travel down to the 11th floor. The A/C unit had a relay switch malfunction. We turned on the a/c and heat came out. Our room heated up to 80 degrees. Very uncomfortable! Front reception couldn't do anything for us at the time but they put in a work order request for our room. Maintenance took care of the problem for a while. No Heat just A/c until the relay switch was replaced. We stayed for (2) days b/c of a national cheer event in Atlanta. Shuttle was available however no one was able to travel until after 6:45 a.m. Therefore we had to drive out and find add'tl parking at the event! We weren't too pleased about that. Now, others may have taken shuttle but we had to be at the event earlier. Can't tell you about breakfast. Didn't get a chance to eat because breakfast wasn't available until 7 a.m. We didn't complain to management, we dealt with it. It is what it is!! Our overall experience was a 3 of 5. We would only recommend hotel if all others are booked. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"comfort room, lousy neighborhood"
The hotel is facing the five points station which is convenient for us to travel around .Very comfort room and nice service. small and convenience hotel. BUT the neighborhood is very lousy even during the night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is located near 5 points train station. The security is a pain in the rear and is all up in your business. You feel like a child looking for permission to enter and exit this hotel. You are watched like you're dealing with the NSA. Really! You will be sorry to stay here. Never again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Atlanta Market Stay"
Our arrival was wonderful! Edith at the front desk made our day! Checked in, car unloaded, bags in our room & on the shuttle & in market less than a hour. Breakfast ladies are absolutely adorable. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Alphonso running the shuttle was FANTASTIC! He was so dependable and where he said he would be, when he said he would […] be. Not so much for the replacements. Friday afternoon after market, go to Indian Restaurant where pickup was to be. We called, again, again & other guests waiting with us called. We were told first that she was waiting in front of the restaurant, she wasn't, The next 3 times we were told the same thing several times, it will be 10 minutes. It ended up being a hour. By the time the shuttle arrived we had way too many guests waiting, we crammed 13 passengers into the shuttle. I know Alphonso can't work every shift, but he should train the others. I had overheard Edith at the front desk saying one of the front desk concierge would be filling in as the driver that night. Friday night of Atlanta Market, bad idea! Desk busy, guests left waiting high & dry (Not, it was raining). When we arrived at the hotel 2nd night we found our room nice & neat, everything clean, but coffee, cups, tissues nor toilet paper had been replaced. Had to go downstairs 11:30 PM to retrieve. No biggie, just inconvenient. Check out was as pleasant as arrival. Valet was more than great! Wonderful experience would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"fairfield inn-downtown atlanta"
The hotel is at the underground and close enough to georgia dome and phillips area to walk to. The biggest problem is it is at a noisy location due to mass transit station next to it and the railroads that run through there in the middle of the night. The hotel has no on-site parking unless you the valet for $30.00 a day or the public parking lots that […] are about block and half away. Best value is the public lot which I parked in all weekend for $3.00. The buildings are the hotel are run down and look like most businesses have went out of business. Don't go the the McDonalds about 2 blocks away because they won't let you get a refill on your tea. The hotel itself is nice though and if wanting a location within walking distance of alot of Atlanta's attractions this is the place to be. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The only problem was that there was no hot water to take a shower. But in their defense it was the coldest day in Atlanta in quite a few years. There was a lot of things in the city that were having problems with 6 degree temperature.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Stayed here for a night before flying out the next morning. Only paid $100 for a suite. Would not pay or have paid more. "Perfect to reach from Airport!"
We had one night and day overlay in Atlanta and the Fairfield Inn turned out to be perfectly located: directly at the metro station Five Points, to be reached straight by metro from the airport. In the middle of downtown, safe area, walking-distance to all sights. Very friendly sympathetic staff, warm welcome, spacious, modern and very well maintained […] rooms. For 1 parent and 2 teenage kids we had two rooms with kitchenette. Complementary breakfast room like busy family hostel: lots of different people, typical American breakfast (which was an additional plus for us Europeans to experience). Good location but there is no parking at the hotel and it costs 30 a day to park. Seemed a little disorganized upon arrival and had to wait about 20 minutes to get the car upon departure. "Not as advertised!"
The biggest problem is that I booked a king bed with queen sized sofa bed to sleep myself, my wife, my son, and his friend. What I got was a king size bed and a small loveseat bed, in no way was that a queen. I was told by staff that they had no queen sofa bed, and that I must have misread. When I checked my confirmation email it did not say queen sofabed, […] just sofabed. I thought for a minute that I must have misread. When I got home I decided to look again and guess what I found in their room description?! "This room overlooks the city. Get a good night's sleep with a pillow menu and pillowtop bed with premium bedding and cotton linens. The private bathroom has a shower/tub combination, as well as complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer. Complimentary wired and wireless Internet access keeps you connected, and the flat-screen TV is offered for your entertainment. The private kitchenette is stocked with a refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee/tea maker. Air conditioning, a separate living room, and a queen sofa bed are among the conveniences offered. This room is Non-Smoking. " The staff were great, the room was clean. There were some rough areas in the hallways that need work, and the elevators shook a little too much for my liking. Felt very secure at night, with lots of security and police around, but in the day the homeless migrate to the area looking for handouts. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pretty dodgy area of town - pretty run down hotel"
The free breakfast and wifi were very convenient. Unfortunately, the area of town is really bad and you'll need your room key to get into the room even during daylight hours. "An affordable 'downtown' location."
We were greeted by a friendly valet when we arrived. A map of the area was provided by the guest registrar when we asked about local eatery locations, along with a list of places to choose from. The room felt a bit like a large studio apartment. (King w/pull-out sofa, small kitchenette). The pull-out was small, which worked fine for our younger children; […] but we wouldn't recommend it for more than one adult or two kids who are older than about eight or ten years of age. We took a little time exploring the building on the main and second levels-- fitness center, breakfast area, sitting area, computer access, etc. Enjoyed the décor. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was standard for this type of hotel (eggs, sausage, breads, waffle maker, coffee/juice, cereal, yogurt...). "will stay again next time in Atlanta"
I read a lof of reviews on the hotel before booking an the main concerns is the location. It ia a lot of Holmes, African Americans in this area but just like any where else, if you don't bother anyone, they dont bother you. We ever walked to some of the hair stores and clothing stores. The hotel is right above the underground, walking distance of the […] aquarium,Coca cola factory. The hotel was clean the staff was excellent. I will again next time in Atlanta. It was myself, husband an two girls ages 19and 20 an rthey loved it. So when people are posting urban area that's what they are talking about an if your not use to an URBAN area then I wouldn't walk around at night. No reason to walk at night because everything closes around 6 or 7pm. parking is $30 a night and it was well worth it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's allright, I guess."
It's okay I guess. My wife did not find the bed comfortable. I thought the bed was fine. The moving of luggage (especially if you have kids) in and out is tough because there are stairs right in the front lobby, it is not very accessible. The rooms are nice overall. Views were nice, we were on 15th floor. I would not stay here again, it is right on […] the edge of a bad neighborhood, and there are many other hotels for a better price in a nicer location. Not as close to Olympic Park as I thought it might be. Easily 20+ minute walk with young kids, although it was fun to ride the MARTA train right across the street. I was shockingly surprised how pleasant and helpful anyone I ran into on the street in Atlanta was. Loved the trip, but this particular hotel is overpriced (parking is mandatory 30.00, when a parking garage a block away is 5.00 all day). A Soda was $2.37. Crazy! I felt like I was being taken. It's a easy 3 star max, but expect to PAY a lot for LITTLE. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, staff, and room, but.........."
I travel to Atlanta from out of state to take in an Atlanta Braves game several times a year. The usual hotel we stay in was full and we got a room at the Fairfield Inn. We were so glad our usual hotel was full. The staff was excellent, the room was very comfortable and clean, and the location could not have been better for us. We left the Fairfield […] Inn with the full intention of returning there on our next trip. We immediately went to a gas station to fill up. That is when I noticed at least 6 new dings on the side of my car. I was so enraged that we pay to park, tip the valet staff very well and have my car treated with such disrespect. I now have to totally rethink my return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
