"Comfortable, well-located hotel in quiet setting"

Anyone going to Frankfurt for a show at the Messe would be happy with this hotel once they can find it. It is in a perfect (albeit somewhat hidden) location from a standpoint of being able to walk to the Central Train Station as well as the Messe. It's in a lovely quiet, mostly residential area with a hairdresser across the street and several good, international restaurants close by. They serve a killer (although expensive) breakfast buffet that will suffice as nourishment until dinner. And the resraurant is lovely with superb food and excellent service. As seems to be standard in modern Frankfurt hotels, the rooms are rather small although in this case, quite well-appointed. TV works and phone is impossible for an American to utilize.

"Not a five star"

The hotel is no where close to the general standards being maintained at the Sofitel chain. It was not a five star as rated by Hotels.com The lights in the room did not work (not just one but many). The television volume control did not work either. I would not recommend this hotel for business travellers. The rooms were too small. The only advantage is that it is quite centrally located in Frankfurt.

Der Empfang war freundlich und höflich mit dem, für mich, richtigen Maß an Aufmerkamkeit. Das gleiche gilt für das restliche Service-Personal, mit dem ich in der kurzen Zeit in Kontakt kam. An der sichtbaren Hygiene beim Personal und in den Räumlichkeiten gab es nichts zu beanstanden. Das Mobiliar im Zimmer war allerdings ein wenig abgenutzt ( Bett / Matratze keine Beanstandung ) und die Gardine war in einem eher jämmerlichen Zustand. Selbst in einem Raucherzimmer dürfte diejenige etwas weniger vergilbt sein und müsste ordentlich aufgehängt sein. Zimmer und Badaustattung im allg. keine Beanstandungen.
