Location is absolutely perfect - everything within walking distance. My old high school (II gimnazija) is just 1 min walk from the hotel!!! I would recommend hotel to everybody and will use it every time I 'm staying in Zagreb.

Temperature was an issue. There was no way to control the temperature in our room. They have central heating and central A/C. Since it was early Spring, heating was on, but the weather in Zagreb was especially warm for this time in the season. We only had to options: having a hot room by turning off the heating, or suffocating by keeping it on. We try […] to open a window but that was not possible either. I stayed at a King Executive Room for two night. The size of the room was nice, the bed was very comfortable. Even though some of the furniture may be scratched here and there, its quality gives you a feeling of a well established place. The room was equipped with both wired and wireless internet. Very nice hotel, large bedroom. Bathroom had a large water stain on ceiling and broken lock that we told them about. Fantastic breakfast. Wifi in lobby only. Easy access to Lower and Upper town. Walked to hotel with luggage from bus station which we took in from airport.

Good location within 10 minute walk or short tram ride to central square. While listed as a 5 star hotel, it doesn't measure up to 5 star standing - rooms are a bit dated. I think this hotel caters mainly to business people - when we arrived on Saturday Sept 3rd, the hotel was nearly deserted.

I stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed it. This hotel looks magnificent - the lobby, the hallways, the room, everything. The room was very comfortable - nice bed, blackout curtains, and quiet A/C. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient - my room was kept in immaculate condition, room service brought me a tasty burger, and the front desk […] called in a taxi at 5am for my return to the airport. The location is good - there's a Chinese restaurant across the street, and bakeries and grocery stores and more restaurants within a couple minutes' walk, while the livelier areas of the city are about a 15-minute walk. The hotel was wonderful. Decor and atmosphere was all that you would expect of a Sheraton. The breakfast buffet, although very pricey, was excellent. Except for a loose toilet seat, we had no complaints. We will stay there again the next time we visit Zagreb.

Ok hotel, but not what I've expected from a 5star sheraton. The furniture was a bit old, and the tv was from the last century! And this hotel is not offering wireless wifi in the rooms, something that is not compatible with todays technologi. But however it has great central location!

The expedia rate was good, but the Sheraton is one of my least favorite hotels in Zagreb. Westin is much nicer (to my taste) for about the same. Best Western Astoria is my top choice in Zagreb hotels (if you can't afford the Esplanade). Sheraton is outdated. A lot of ornate gold brocade that dates that last renovations to over a decade past. The pool […] is a bust, and they insist women wear caps, which they will sell you. It is a bit far to walk to the main square, and it is one stop short of being within the "free" city center range of the trams. But is is a perfectly adequate hotel. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Phone use charges for local calls were very high. Read more

Quite and nicely furnished rooms. Friendly and helpful stuff. Breakfast and service is weak. Only a few types of cheese and very little amount available to take. No scrambled egg is available every morning, hard boiled egg is served cold. Don't drink orange juice at all; they add just water to fill-up, in the end it becomes cloudy water with orange […] bits. They should learn to ask "vinegar or lemon" beforehand instead of putting vinegar into salats as default. In restaurant and services perspective there is a lot of room to improve. Rooms are pretty comfortable with free Internet. No WiFi available in rooms, only cabled Ethernet is possible; so customers won't be able to use tablets or iPads in rooms. Reasonably priced hotel. Luxurious, comfortable accommodation at an excellent price. We registered as Starwood customers when we arrived in Croatia and stayed at the Westin two weeks before our stay at the Sheraton. When we stayed at the Sheraton just before leaving Croatia they put us up on the "Starwood preferred guest" floor. Perhaps our room was nicer than the standard […] rooms. The only (minor) complaint is that they still just have wired internet in the rooms (free WiFi in the lobby). This seems a bit antiquated but was the case for most hotels that advertised that they have WiFi. Read more

This was our first trip to Zagreb and were not sure what to expect, we really had a fabulous time. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. Being from Australia we were pleasantly surprised at how well all the staff spoke English. The hotel is also in a great location, right on the bus and tram line, and only a short walk (10min relaxing walk) […] to the centre of town. It's also just far enough away to be very relaxing and out of the way of the main nightlife. My husband and I are used to our comforts and we were very happy with our room and hotel amenities. The food is great in each of the dinning areas and off you want a tip, try the Apple Strudel from the room service menu or from the Piano Bar. The place is not 4* standart. it´s clean and for zagreb standards obviously one of the best places to stay. I would not go there a second time though. It´s not that close to the city center as written in other reviews...it´s ok for business but not a normal weekend trip with family or friends.

The hotel is perfectly located for business and leisure, our suite was very elegant and spacious though small TV sets appeared to be a leftover from the ancient times. The corridors on our floor were not that nice, though, with lots of holes in the carpet - not something you would expect in a five star hotel. Alas, upon our arrival, we have ordered […] a quick meal before we were to go out. It took an hour to deliver three plates of inedible food. This was later admitted by F&B Manager. How did they manage to make an inedible pizza, inedible gnocchi ai quatri formaggi and inedible spaghetti bolognese remains a mystery, but somewhere between microwave, fridge, deep freezer and not that well trained chef things must have gone very very wrong, so we were ultimately forced to leave the hotel hungry as they were not able to produce another meal quickly. Other than this, the overall experience was very pleasant, staff is kind and efficient, but this is not a five star hotel hence if you want decent, reliable service go somewhere else. Read more

It is close enough to everything but far enough away to not be crowded and noisy but certainly within walking distance to all the major attractions. The second point about this […] hotel was that the front desk people spoke excellent english and helped us with a zillion questions we had about how to get to places, to eating etc etc.... with all honest answers and not just recommending their hotel! The staff were great! The swimming pool was being serviced when we were there which was too bad because we would have really enjoyed it after long hot days touring around. The meal at the restaurant were very expensive and we didn't sample any of them for that reason. There is no wireless in the rooms but wireless was offered in the lobby area. Nice hotel, not far too far from the centre (10 min leisurely stroll). Friendly staff, great breakfast buffet - ensure you pay this up-front, otherwise its 30 euros extra per day (significantly higher than price if included in your room). Have not had opportunity to use gym during my visits. Major fundemental gripe about this hotel is its room's air-conditioning […] system, it is terrible - loud on any fan setting above 1, and hardly any cold air, I guess the coolant hasn't been replaced in the units. In the winter there is no cold air, despite the whole hotel being super heated. Expect an uncomfotable night's stay in the summer time when you cannot rely on opening the bedroom window to cool the rooms. I and several colleagues have complained to the hotel, with nothing being rectified. So despite its 5 star rating, great service I've found it often difficult to get a good nights sleep at the Sheraton, a fundemental requirement for a hotel. Read more

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Many sightseeing possibilities in the old town and a great movie theatre just around the corner of the hotel. I was very pleased with the service of the hotel.
