My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for only one night. Even though we are young, we were still treated with respect and courteousness. The front-desk staff was very professional, helpful and cheerful. The valet operator and the bellhop were very polite and prompt. Our room was comfortable, clean, updated and easy to access. The bathroom was really pretty, however the bathroom doors do not lock. This was not a problem for us, however it may be for some. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with all aspects of our stay and love this hotel and would definitely return!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in Nov. 2009. The hotel stay was very nice. The staff were heplful with giving us directions and telling us about the area. AS stated in past comments, the showers are a little bizarre by not being totally enclosed. Bed was very comfortable. It is close to all activities on the wharf. Bring cash because there are still a lot of places that don't use credit cards. There are plenty of ATM's close to the hotel. Sight seeing tour bus stop is right on the corner of hotel. Pub;ic transportation was pretty easy and the employees on the public lines were helpful.

Took wife out for surprise birthday get away and picked a winner. The hotel is a few blocks away from wharf which was nice to keep the noise down. Staff was very helpful and held our bags until our room was ready (we showed up a few hrs early) while we walked around and ate lunch. Parking over night is $45 but that's pretty much par for the course in SF. Room was very nice, clean and quiet. Loved the bed - like sleeping on a cloud! Although some people aren't fans of the "rain" shower, we liked the idea. Overall, it was a great trip and would stay again.

We got a great deal through hotels.com, and were very excited to stay here, since it was right in the middle of the Wharf. While the hotel was alright, there were several things that could have been better. The shower is the most terribly thought out shower I've ever seen. There's no "door" or sliding panel, or anything, just half is partitioned off by glass, and you're draft the entire time. Ladies, there's also nowhere to shave your legs... No ledge, no foot hold, no seat... nada. A problem, if you're past puberty. Finally, the shower head is this crazy swiveling square in the ceiling, and while I'm sure someone thought it contemporary and "cool", it's not practical. On the whole, I didn't look forward to my drafty, damp shower every day. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, but the $45/night parking is astronomical, and completely insane, considering people pay $100/month in residential areas in the same part of town. Rely on public transportation, or a friend, unless you have $150 to spend in parking alone for a weekend. Would I stay here again? Probably not. There's better out there for the same amount of money, if not less, in the same location. Keep looking.

Extremely nice hotel, thought we got a good rate on Hotels.com, but the deal was not quite so great when you consider it costs $45 to park your car there for one night. In the future, we'd stay here if coming from the airport and not parking a car...but not sure I'd want to deal with this parking fee again. However, San Fran is expensive to park overall so I guess that's just the way it is. Otherwise, really enjoyed our stay. This is a more pricey hotel, but everything is very nice, worth the price for the most part. Oh, but be careful who you get directions from. The man who carried our bags to our room told us we could walk to the Golden Gate Bridge in 30 minutes, when in reality we found out it's more like 7-8 miles away (and I'm pregnant, so this was significant misinformation). I'm sure he was trying to be helpful (as helpfulness gets a better tip) but giving out bad information like that was really irresponsible.

When we walked in on our date of check in, one of the men behind the counter walked back behind a wall and was overheard saying "They're just kids". I'm 24 and my girlfriend is 22, we're not middle aged, but what was he implying? That we deserved less then normal service? That set the vacation we had been saving up for off to a poor start. The following morning, we were prematurely awakened by protesters yelling outside our window. They were protesting our hotel! The TV Internet package they offer is badly broken. It constantly locked up and the keyboard wouldn't register buttons were being pressed unless they're held for a few seconds. We had much difficulty checking the local weather! We were informed that the Jacuzzi on our floor was unavailable due to maintenance, but would be back on the following day; which it wasn't, at any point of our stay. Other than that, the bell hops were very polite and did a great job. I would not stay here ever again, especially since I was treated with more respect at hotels charging half the price of what we paid here.

Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf is a very luxurious hotel. The swimming pool and spa were very nice, and staff were very helpful. We stayed for one quick night before moving off down the coast, and so this hotel was perfect, very comfortable and a great location for anyone wanting to visit the tourist hot spots of Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Alcatraz etc.

Our familly experience was good. This Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure you were satisfied. The one thing I will say is the Hotels restaurant "Knuckles" is pricey and the food is not that great, you are better off walking a block or two for dinner. I dont want to sound like I'm complaining but I will say something that the staff did they knew I was not satisfied with dinner and they took my plate order off the bill which was around $20, So in that sense they did keep a customer happy! All the attractions are close by no more than 3 miles. Will definetly stay here again soon! Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf see you soon!

Part of the reason we selected the hotel was because of the games area.....which we were told closed in January 09
