"Decent but lacking in amenities"

The bathroom was the size of one that might be found in a sleeper car and the restaurant only served breakfast but you could find bar food in the sports bar so that was disappointing considering the Antlers formerly had a great dining room and lounge. That said the gym was much better than most with a gorgeous view of the mountains. This grand lady has fallen on hard times, but the staff was very friendly. Paul, the bartender/coffee barista who has been with the property for over 40 years, is a gracious gentleman who makes every guest and regular customer feel at home as well as providing a sense of what the Antlers used to be in its day. I fear he is the last remnant of what was once a fine hotel.

The hotel lobby is nice, the rooms are not up to par and in need of repair. There are much nicer hotels in the Springs for less money. I can't believe that this has the name Hilton on it. There was a room across from us on the 5th floor and the fire alarm in the room went off at 6AM in the morning. It flooded the hallway and the water came into our room. The smell in the hallway was really bad. I checked out and the front desk did not even offer an apology. This hotel is not worth the price.

Our king size bedroom was spacious romm including the bathroom. A lot of thought was put into the design. The bathroom sink/dressing table had slots underneath to store items to give you more room on the very spacious countertop. They even provided a lighted vanity mirror. The coffee maker made 2 separate cups at the same time so I could make my husbands decaf and my regular together. The linens were outstanding and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever seen in a hotel. The iron did not "spit". Loved the work-out facility, the friendly staff, and the fresh fruit at the front desk. The only suggestion I have is they should have the help check the clock radio. It was not set at the correct time (several hours late) and could have made us late. Also the soundproofing was not what I would expect for a hotel of this quality. But certainly not the worst I have seen. And I liked that the doors did not slam but eased shut. If you're a light sleeper, just turn on the white noise on the tv.

This hotel is located in a great location with clear view of the mountains. The staff is wonderful and facilities are nice. My biggest complaint is the bath room in the hotel. The quality of the bath room in this high priced hotel is no better than a small motel! There is no shower tub and the shower stall (about 2x3') is too inconvinient and does not leave a positive impression.

I had lived in Colorado Springs for a number of years and had seen this Hotel change names several times. After moving to New Mexico, I came back to CO to visit some friends and booked a room there. The service out front where the valet was located I thought was exceptional. When I got to the front desk however, the young lady behind the counter was rude and seemed as though she just wanted me to get my key and move along, which I did. Later, in an attempt to order room service, I called down to the desk and again spoke with the rude employee, whom was still in a less than pleasant mood. The room was not bad for the price and the location puts you right in the heart of downtown, and close to some night spots.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. It has a wonderful atmosphere with a lavish decor. The restaurants and bars in the hotel are superb. The only negative thing, which was probably a fluke, was that the first room we stayed in had stained/dirty sheets. After bringing it to their attention, they moved us to another room that was bigger and nicer than the first. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The Antlers is a very nice hotel in a central location right in downtown. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants. The hotel has a very nice pool and exercise facility indoors with a beautiful mountain view. Rooms are comfortable if a little on the small side. Only down side is the added cost of parking which is ok as long as you are prepared for it. This is our second stay and we'll likely return again.

We checked in around 1 AM, so our primary use of the hotel was for sleeping and showering. The location was central for Colorado Springs, which was great as far as a starting place for apartment hunting (I was there looking for a place to live because I'm moving for work in a week). Parking was free, in a covered garage with a direct connecting elevator - very convenient, especially at 1 AM. The bed was VERY comfortable. My main complaint was this: When we arrived, we filled out the breakfast in-room door hanger, but noticed they pick them all up at 1 AM; it was now 2 AM. I called the front desk and asked if that was OK that we were putting it out there late, and he said he would send someone up to get it for us right away and that it was no problem at all. Because we banked on that breakfast, we went about our morning and got ready for appointments with apartment complexes early, but the breakfast never showed. When I called room service, they said they never received the ticket. So, we had them send up some bagels and coffee (in-room coffee was Lavazza - yuck - but room service was Starbucks), which did come up quickly. Turns out they never came and got the breakfast order as they said they would. Overall, it was a nice hotel. Not a bad place to stay, but the service was pretty disappointing.

We were only at Antlers for one night, but appreciated their attention to the historical aspects of the hotel and the city. The only obvious remodeling oddities to bring the hotel up to date were some strange pipework in the bathroom and a 1950's high water use toilet. All else was at least up to 1990s standards. The room itself, although small, was very comfortable. Our only dissatisfaction was that we were charged for hotel parking, although the entire underground multi-use parking structure is open to the public for free on weekends and is unsecured. At first, we thought there was only valet parking until we drove in back of the hotel and located the parking structure.
