Knights Inn Southington - Southington

This hotel was dirty, unsafe, and our non-smoking room smelled horrible. We attempted to change rooms twice-the second smelled and the third the door wouldn't open. We were told to get the housekeeper to help us open the door-sometimes it works. Outside hallway doors were propped open. My husband refused to stay.

The room was filthy.The carpet had burns from the clothes iron falling on to it.The carpet was so nasty I wore my shoes when I needed to walk around ..I would have asked for a refund if I believed I could have left and found another place to stay.

Booked in a snowstorm. Filthy carpets,tv broken,only 2thread bare towels, even the ceiling was dirty, the toilet was running and the room smelled like defecation. .enough said.

The first room we got was a smoking room when i booked a non smoking room. The second room was gross, nothing was vaccumed, the towels were stained, and our box spring was stained with blood. the tub and bathroom were gross. We never even showered. DO NOT STAY HERE

The stay was a terrible experience. No laundry room.-- Wake up next morning and find that a mouse or rat whatever it was ate part of a hamburger as well ate through the plastic of a loaf of bread that we had purchased the night before at Walmart. The bread and hamburger was on top of the desk.

My reeked of cigarette odor, and it stayed in my clothes long after I left the hotel. Fixtures were broken. Sheets and linens were clean though. The staff was nice, but that's the only good thing I can say about my stay. Motel 6 would have been better.

My first impression was what have i gotten myself into? The room was damp, and smelly from cleaning product as well as damp carpeting. The hallways were dirty. The front security doors were left open all night long. The pool was clean and well maintained. Well first they put us in the back where it looked completely horrid so we asked to be move. They gave us a fuss about it and moved us to a room where the AC was making a loud banging noise every 5 minutes. So we said that we didn't want to stay in that room, who would want to it sounded like the AC was going to blow up. The guy refused to move us again […] until we said that he ether moved us or we wanted our money back. So of course they did. The room we did get was ok, but we figured it was only for one night. it was very dirty! the sheets on the bed had hair on it and were very dirty. the room did not have a good smell. a lot of stuff in the room was old and dirty like the alarm clock and even the door. the air conditioner was also old and dirty. i would not want to stay in this hotel again!!!

I was not happy with the hotel. I asked for nonsmoking and although the room was a nonsmoking the building and hallways were not. I had to run the AC to clear the air and I had to leave the room. When I returned the room was ice cold and had to run the heat. I was not happy about the people over me playing cards and making loud noise till the am hours. […] Next time I will stay at the Motel 6 across the street. I will be traveling this route often.
