The room was clean and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The free shuttle to Gaylord National Conference Center was a dissapointment. After a long day with two young children we followed the pick-up schedule and waited outside in the cold... but no shuttle. After a half hour we called and I was told the driver was on his way. It was another […] 20 minutes before the shuttle finally arrived (from the hotel barely 2 miles away). The driver made no apologies. Why have a shuttle schedule if you have no intention of following it? Other than that it was a pleasant stay. I frequent this hotel and its very nice & worth the money. I love the fact that they clean the room so well and the only indication of the room being a smoking room is the ashtray. the beds are great. the free breakfast is ok but hey its free....

The young lady on the front desk was not helpful at all.When I booked I asked for adjoining rooms or rooms close on the same floor,for my daughters and I.No-one tried to rectify the situation of 1room being on 2nd floor and 1 on 3rd foor plus I am a disabled vet and really needed ground floor.

We arrive on Thursday check in was no problems but when we got to the second floor it had an ordor to it. When we went into the room it had an ordor as well. It was the shower curtin and it looked like a cat was using it to scratch. We changed rooms to the end of the hallwayand the smell was so much better. But as we was checking the sheets I found […] a brown stain on of the beds. We went downstairs to let them know so they can change our sheets. The woman at the front told us we must change our own sheets or she can get the security graud to do it. the only issue we had was with the shuttle to National Harbor. The sign posted gives the drop off/ pick up times BUT then underneath it states you must call for pick up. The driver gave us a card w/ the number to call for pick up. When I called, the lady at the front desk said we missed the posted pick up time and we would have to wait an hour...after […] a discussion with her, we were picked up in 10 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the cooling system quiet and efficient. The pool was not for swimming -- we had called ahead, intending to use the pool for exercise. It was not suitable for a 6'6" man to swim laps. The breakfast we enjoyed at the restaurant was very good. However, the frig froze water -- it was not functioning correctly.

Good shuttle service to & from Gaylord meant a less expensive stay, although bethere early for your morning shuttle & be patient waiting in the evening....may take 10-15minutes. Overall nice folks & a decent stay.

The hotel is located in a terrible neighborhood. The staff was accomodating but their wakeup system, supposedly computer operated, failed to ring my room. This happened TWICE. They provided a lovely breakfast and the facility is clean. However, it was probably built 40 years ago and needs a facelift.

Overall the stay was good for the price. The best part was the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. The room was normal by Comfort Inn standards and was clean. The surrounding neighborhood was not the greatest, however I never felt unsafe while there. The best part was the free shuttle to the Gaylord Convention Center.
