This is a nice hotel on the edge of city central. Wish we had been closer in as it was a long walk. Strong perfumey smell in the lobby. Staff was helpful, rooms comfortable and clean.

There were small drawbacks, but the service was so EXCEPTIONAL, that this outweighs everything else. Estella and Meba at the Front Desk were so helpful in introducing me to Seville. I never had anyone at any hotel try so hard to explain the BEST of Seville to me, and how to do it. Definitely top choice in Seville.

Looking at this hotel from the outside, you'd never guess it was nearly as nice as it is inside. We had a nice sized room with a comfortable bed and bath. WiFi was available in the room and fast enough. The breakfast buffet is AMAZING. Finally one well worth the cost... the biggest problem is over-indulgence as it's hard not to try everything. Nice, clean hotel. Excellent for business travel, but works well for pleasure vacations as well. The location is very good, about a 10-15 minute walk to the cathedral. There is a great restaurant around the corner with fantastic tapas and friendly staff.

Melia is what a standard four star hotel should be. Spacious rooms, good amenities, and decent location. It's about a 15 minute stroll to the center and a short 5 minute stroll to plaza de Espana. We didn't have breakfast there so I cannot comment on the food. There's a big supermarket around the corner where we stocked up on drinks and snacks. We were delighted to find that our room had a terrace that overlooked the swimming pool ... not just a porch, but a terrace large enough for reclining lounges, along with a table and two chairs. I understand the Melia was recently renovated: kudos to the design team for the layout, choice of materials and amenities. (We took photos for ideas for our […] own renovation project at home.) The hotel was close enough to walk to the center of the old district, which we did several times, walking through the Plaza España and Maria Luisa Parque. Very unhappy with this hotel. Had to change rooms twice because the safety box was not working and they put us in a smoking room when we had a Non Smoking reservation. No maintenance guy was available to help so we lost over 1 hour of sightseeing time due to slow service with this issue. They upgraded us to a larger room which was appreciated. The normal […] room is very small for a 4 star hotel with little room if you have luggage. The front desk was very understaffed. Not close to the main downtown area with the church, etc. If on limited time schedule check ahead for the cathedral open/close times. The room was very nice, bed comfortable and separate bath and shower with double sinks in the bathroom. Very nice. Great location, an easy walk to the Cathedral and historic sights. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sevilla, a great deal for the price.

Nice hotel, good location for the center, comfortable rooms Horrible attitude in the spa/gym. They are rude and there only to collect their paychecks. Ignore you when you walk in or make nasty comments about how you need to rent their towels. A real disgrace to an otherwise good experience.

The hotel has a great location. It is in a nice area and close to most attractions. When in the city, we walked nearly everywhere. There is a parking ramp but it is really expensive. Thus, we parked our rental car in the streets with no issue. It was difficult finding parking on Friday and Saturdays though. The hotel was beautiful with a modern appeal. […] The rooms were spacious and well decorated. I loved our bathroom! There was a safe within the room and a mini bar. We missed the mini bar as our mini fridge. My main complaint is that the bed(s) were the most uncomfortable things we have ever slept in. It was like sleeping on wooden planks. It was horrid. Also, we were unable to adjust our room temperature and at times, the room was a little too warm. Although claiming to have satelite TV, the channels were extremely limited. Anyone with children beware, as later in the evening there is a german channel that is quite explicit. I am a very light sleeper and was surprised how quiet it is within and outside the hotel. The streets quiet down once it gets into late evening/early morning. There were several very nice restaurants within walking distance. If you are looking for a cheaper menu with more familiar foods, I HIGHLY recommend the restuarant Amanecer. It's about five blocks from the hotel but is worth it. They have a mexican style (with american options) menu. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel, the staff, and our stay. Read more

The hotel is in a good location about a 15 minute walk from the cathedral. We walked everywhere as the tourist sights are all fairly close together. There were a couple of slight negatives about this hotel (although neither of them were a big deal). One was the lifts – they were really slow to arrive once you called them and they were quite rickety. This was also the same for the lifts to the car park, which are separate. The other was the lack of drink-making facilities in the room, but we found that throughout Spain, although a bit unusual for a hotel of this standard in my experience. The underground parking was also quite expensive. That said, these are small points and didn't affect our view of this hotel. It was good value given the location and the standard of accommodation. I would certainly recommend it for a short break in Seville. Read more
