The Hotel lobby appears to have been updated and looks fantastic. The property is very cute and kept up. The rooms are nice size but are in drastic need of updates that would make it a complete package. What we ran into with the room, April 2013 was worn & stained carpet, tile and tile grout that I wasn't comfortable walking on without flip flops due […] to age and cleanliness, appliances / countertop kitchen that were almost vintage, severly outdated. What topped it off and wasn't the best first impression was the pull out sofa bed linen/ blanket was soiled with hair left from the last occupant. Was not happy with the room CLEANLINESS!! The Hotel breakfast was busy in the morning and overall they did a nice job with it. Due to the volume the food was not hot, but was understood due to their effort to keep up with the business volume. Obviously we only had one room and can't speak for what others look like, but I would still give them another chance. But if all the rooms need the same updates they need to give it some serious thought. Plenty of other places to stay right next door and in the surrounding area. PUT SOME $$$ BACK INTO THE ROOMS!! GREAT!!!! The room was nice and spacious for 2 adults and 4 children. It was clean and comfortable. Front desk and housekeeping workers were friendly. The only thing that I feel could be improved was the number of waffle makers for breakfast. The rooms were very nice, and great for a surprise get away with the wife. Morning breakfast was good too. Had more than enough to choose from. Eggs,sausage,waffles, cereal, juices,fruit, etc.. Check in staff was great in giving details of where we were and local restaurants in the area and also gave us a copy listing of them. We told our daughter and […] son-law about it and they stayed for their anniversary three weeks later. Great, great job, Homewood Suites! Perfect in almost every way. I took a star off of "cleanliness" just because the toilet bowl was not scrubbed and there was some residue when we came in the room the first night. This hotel was absolutely wonderful. The beds and pillows were amazing! My wife is pregnant and VERY picky about bedding. She loved it and even slept better than at home. The room was very clean and well stocked. The surrounding area is very safe and full of great restaurants and stores. Ruth's Chris, Macaroni Grill, Lululemon, Best Buy, Target, and […] a host of other amenities are within a mile or so. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, even during Thanksgiving week. There were a few cons to this hotel, which didn't bother us at all, but I felt I should mention. Most of these are because the hotel is under some construction on the main lobby building. First, it was a little hard to find the check-in desk. (it's currently reached through a back door.) Second, the breakfast was not what we expected... very few options. However, I think the cook did well, considering she was without the standard kitchen and was serving from a banquet room. (thus no juice machines, microwave, etc.) Lastly, the hotel is a tiny bit hard to get to because of only one entrance from a one-way street. But as soon as you find the hotel once, it becomes easy to manuver the entrance/exit. Overall, this hotel was far beyond expectations! Great price too! Grab it now, before they're done with construction! I fully expect as soon as they're done renovating, the rates will be back up to what this hotel deserves! Read more

They were under some remodeling during my stay but shoul be complete by mid October 2012 with that and looks like it will be very nice (main lobby area) the room was nice and clean. Only negative is the property is a three story walk up and there was no elevator in my building. I was on the 3rd floor naturally.

Our stay at Homeward Suites - Memphis East was wonderful. Although check in time was 4:00 pm, we arrived early and our suite was ready. The front desk staff was helpful and pointed out must-see sights. We loved the suite and all that it offered. We will definitely book with Homeward Suites for our next trip...regardless of destination.

We have stayed here once before with my 3 kids. We had plenty of space for the 5 of us. I saved money because I could cook lunch and dinner if needed. Breakfast is good. Kids like being able to make their own waffles. Plus there are healthy choices. (Yogurt, fresh fruit, granola, juices, hot cereals...) Kitchen has sufficent plates, glasses, silverware. […] Though it comes with 4 place settings, we only needed to call the office for one more setting when the kids were with us. I stay at homewood suites across america wherever possible. This has caused me to become accustomed to certain expected features across the board. First the night checkin staff was very rude. the room was stale and rough. the first stop was the restroom where I nearly flew off the seat into the tub because the toilet seat was broken. The water pressure […] was non-existant for shower and dishes had been left in dishwasher. I was told this was state regulated but the dishes were DIRTY. I requested another room but was told they were booked but I coud receive another room for the next two day stay. the breakfast crew was incredible and competent. the day desk crew was very helpful and offered me a choice of rooms. The secod room also had dirty dishes in the dish washer and this toilet seat was also loose. (Highly recommend upgrading the quality of toilet seats) No other complaints. Just very dissappointed and never felt clean my entire stay which is a shame since I have plans to be in the Memphis area every quarter and will have to find a new location to stay. Read more
