"Beverly hills get away"
The stay was more than I could ask for. The hotel services were great. The first room that was given to me was flooding in the rest room and I was quickly changed into another room. The next room was a little smaller but had the same concept. I had the hotel run a few errands for me and the staff was not used to money tips which I thought was odd. "Just Ok....not a huge suprise or overly special"
For a 5 star it was just OK. Honestly, the only thing that made it 5 star was the extreme price gouging throughout. Ex. if you want to go online, you pay $15 per day per device. Spa services were about $50 more than outside a resort/hotel. The food was OK.but nothing different than any hotel room service around the globe, just add an additional $30 […] or so per order. Were the $15 mojitos in plastic cups superior to anywhere else's $8? Nope. The property is decorated ultra modern but even it seems just boring & expected. The reviews about how dark it is really are true. It sure is. Over all its just OK. If you just feel like dumping money on something or yourself, this is a good hotel. Otherwise, its just not that superior or classy. Ive stayed in nicer for less. And the snobby "I'm so fancy" vibe just doesn't make you feel like its more special- it's just a hotel. "SLS Hotel Beverly Hills"
Great hotel! Went out for spring break with a few friends and had a blast..hotel was very dark but modern and Perfect for the younger crowd..saw a few celebrities and the bazar by jose andreas was a delight!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A few rude apples"
The only complaint I had was with one of the conceirge. He was very rude, snippy and not helpful at all. Also some of the staff in Tres were rude as well. But hey it's LA, they can get away with it right? The pool is awesome, the bathrooms are sick too.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hip hotel by Beverly Center"
The hotel is very comfortable and hip. Excellent location in West Hollywood, a block away from the Beverly Center. Very friendly and efficient concierge. Very funky pool. The downside: the rooms are nice, but dark, specially the bathrooms. Ironing boards are ridiculously small and impractical, and you need to bring your own soap bar because they only […] provide shower gel. It's restaurant, The Bazaar, by celebrity chef José Andres, is absolutely amazing! Make sure to make reservations way in advance and make sure you try the cheese stakes! The SLS is very chic and trendy with lots of action. Staff and facilities could not be nicer. The only criticisms are that he positioning of the furniture in the rooms takes a good size space and minimizes it's use. Also lighting is truly substandard and just too dark. All in all, a very good stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The SLS Hotel - the place to stay in LA"
Luxurious pool, beautifully designed rooms, wonderful service. This hotel has it all in spades.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Amazing design with lots of glossy chrome, glass, lucite, and mirror. The restaurant is definitely a place to be among the cool and famous. The rooms have mirrored walls and chrome bed frames with glass headboards. It looks like they forgot to allow for the extra housekeping. I have stayed there twice and both times all that shine was covered with […] dust and the mirrored walls had hand prints the bedframe was dusty etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Was really excited to stay here, as I've passed by quite often when in LA and it looks gorgeous from the street. The hotel didn't disappoint--it was quirky and cool, with many luxurious touches. Comfortable beds and the suite I stayed in was large. Loves: Lovely and interesting decor with fun details Staff was friendly, prompt and very helpful The […] coolness factor--this hotel is cutting edge The food was GREAT! Had the amazing and decadent Spanish Toast for breakfast--don't miss it! Also the restaurant downstairs, Bazaar, is a must-try. Didn't Loves: The room was very dimly lit and painted dark--I could barely read the breakfast menu The terrace attached to my room was shared with 2 other rooms. Also, it didn't have a light for sitting outside in the evening. The parking fee was outrageous, even for LA Overall: I'd definitely stay here next time I visit LA if I could get the great rate I received again. Definitely an excellent stay. "SLS Hotel - A Hotel to AVOID"
Horrible DECOR, no lights in the room. Horrible non functional bathroom facilities. Horrible bathroom sink (looks like a kitchen sink). TV is terrible and remote none responsive. Internet access is "untouchable" ($15.00 a day!!!) Parking is $36 daily. Lobby is dark, hallways are horrible. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Another great stay at SLS"
Staff was friendly and facilities were in excellent condition. This hotel is an excellent choice for a hip 5 star hotel in Beverly Hills. They have changed the lighting in the rooms so you can actually see what is going on in the room . I had the front desk staff notice me walking back to the elevators with two cups of coffee in my hands, they ran over […] and opened the elevator doors and selected my floor for me. It was a small gesture but it made a big impact on my impression of service at this hotel. Thanks for another great stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"It's about the service"
I usually stay at a four seasons or peninsula, so was really not expecting much from this hotel. Stayed two nights, and left with overall good feelings. Initial impressions, however, at arrival was not good. The guys at the valet failed to help me with the luggage for a while, and they lacked the professionalism of the people working at a five star […] hotel. Check-in was smooth and friendly, if a bit causual. My king suite was relatively large, although the amenities were not good, and the quality of the furnishings were best described as maybe slightly better than IKEA. Rooms are quiet, and except for the bathroom, I didn't hear other guests (which is not the case in many "five star" hotels). Gym was really good, and the demographics of the hotel guests were such that people actually used it. Business center was a bit weak, charging $6 for 15 minutes of internet time. I think the best feature of the hotel was the restaurant. Food for the most part surprisingly good, and the woman at reception was fantastic. A couple of the high end wines are surprisingly decently priced (decent meaning, that $500 bottle of wine has less markup than expected). The student like guy who helped me at my luggage at checkout was also very friendly. Overall, it's a nice, friendly hotel in the middle of an area where service can be a bit uptight. Just don't expect marble or mahogany in the rooms. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hip Spot in Beverly Hills!"
Hip hotel in Beverly Hills, definitely caters to a younger crowd. The rooms are awesome, very modern and stylish, very impressive. Staff is friendly and helpful. My only gripe is the lack of adequate lighting in the rooms. For two ladies, it was difficult to find a spot to apply makeup and fix hair! Other than that, though, awesome hotel and will definitely […] consider staying there again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

fun, artistic feel to the hotel- great beds- sheets- pillows and i am picky! :) I usually stay at the Four seasons but this hotel won me over and i will stay here next time I'm in town!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fanny but Unpractical"
The hotel is nicely designed and stuff are very warm and polite. However there are many downsides about this hotel. The front desk agents are not very well trained they made a few mistakes when we check in very slow and not well prepared. The room is ok fancy looking but low quality renovation and not very practical.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Chic Hotel, best location, outstanding service."
Trevelled with my brother and two cousins, really enjoyed the atmosphere of Beverly Hills at the SLS. Great food by Chef José Andrés at the hotel and conveniet location, easy to move around. Service was amazing and the overall experience was totally worth it!Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel location was great but the rooms are not convenient for women. The tinted mirrors and dim lights made it harder for me to put make up on. The place is perfect for men, not for women.Genuine Expedia guest review
"it is a Z gallery store"
Did not like the large bottles of washes -- face wash, body wash..... -- someone else had used -- did not feel good, and towels are thin and older. I left room at 8:30am, the room stil was not cleaned when I were back room at 4:00pm. but the hotel is new and moden.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Note quite a luxury hotel"
We have stayed at a number of the 5 star hotels in Beverly Hills, and tried the SLS for the first time. It was disappointing in terms of room offerings, pool facility (smaller, no hot tub), limited room service menu, speed of service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A VERY L.A. Hotel"
We stayed for one night and it was an interesting experience. The hotel is very high art, but I just didn't get it. The walls in the room and bathroom were all mirrors. You couldn't go to many places in the room without look at yourself. The beds were very low, Japanese style beds. The room was dark, even with the lights on and most of the furniture […] was non-functional. There was a very sharp shelf on the headboard that was strange and a little scary. I get the vibe the hotel is going for, it just wasn't my taste. They do have a lovely outdoor lounge area when you first pull up and there are tons of restaruants within walking distance. This hotel had everything I needed to enjoy a great weekend get-away and to help celebrate my birthday. I have travelled to other cities/countries and must admit that the room is a little small but the service is great. The gentlemen as the concierges were wonderful/ very friendly. Casey was more than happy to help by making dining recommendations, […] reservations, and car service accommodations. Hotel staff takes pride in correcting any problems, if any. In the few days I stayed at SLS, I managed to take advantage of all the amenities they have to offer [spa, fitness center, bar, 24 hr room service, both restaurants, and heated pool]. Overall, I was satisfied. The only word to the wise I have is that if you plan to lounge in the sun by the poolside, get there early because lounge chairs are limited. Between a combination of good location (walking distance to Beverly Center and 2 miles away from Rodeo Dr), great service, and a number of amenities, I definitely would recommend SLS! "Do you like it dark?"
If you like to stay in a room so dark it is difficult to find the shower, this is your hotel! Prefer your room is dresser free? Roof top looks tired and needs refreshing. Otherwise great hotel with chic lobby design and a trendy crowd...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
If you want to try a different style hotel. This would definitely be it. The hotel is very trendy with a retro style. I liked it the service was fantastic.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is little bit dark m the reception service is not so good and the room service is to sloe and vry unreasonable the quality of food is good but it is very little quantity I was impressed tough from the concierge they were very good and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"SLS LA - Get to the pool early!"
If you are likely to want to spend any part of the day pool side, make it very early or late because this pool is standing room only after 10:00 am. Also, be forewarned the menu of the hotel is somewhat limited so if you like to eat pool side and have a little late night room service and/or visit the hotel restaurant, know that you will be facing the […] same menu in all three locations. And it was not that satisfying the first time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but very dark"
The SLS was very nice. The rooms were very contemporary. For me, the bathrooms, although beautiful, were uncomfortable. The only shower head was the overhead/oversized rain type which was a pain when trying not to get your hair wet. Getting in and out of the tub was a major feat for my 5'2" frame as well. The room itself was incredibly dark. I had to […] take the handheld mirror that was in the bathroom out to the table by the window to put makeup on - otherwise it was a crap shoot as to what you would look like leaving the hotel! Mirrors were everywhere, which was cool but they were also the smokey/dark type and provided very little detail. The rooftop pool, house limo, and The Bazaar were INCREDIBLE!!! I am sorry I cannot remember my massage therapist's name, but she was fantastic - the best I have had since I was in Palm Springs years ago (and I get massages quite often and all over the world). All in all, the SLS was in a prime location, very chic, and offers one of the best restaurants in town. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great UNIQUE hotel"
Everything was great. Clean, beds were very comfortable. Has an 'edge' to the hotel which was nice. Only complaint I have is that the mirrors are darken so it is hard to see yourself while you put on makeup. I found out later that if you ask they will bring a lighted mirror up to you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best hotel I have stayed in LA"
Amazingly designed beautiful hotel and perfect location. Great pool on 6th floor. The only problems I can think of: - I found hair (definitely not ours) in the room several times (on top of a clean towel, right next to the facial tissues, on the back of my pillow, etc.). This is definitely not acceptable in a luxury hotel. - Our room did not have […] a view at all. I am not talking about a city view, but we literally were seeing a wall. On the other hand, the room was so beautiful that we did not need a view anyway. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Pretense at a Price"
Stayed here in a suite 2 days. As expected, the emphasis was on glitz and style. The lobby is half outside and features funhouse-style mirrors with green light. The roof pool and surroundings is somewhat like a Salvador Dali painting. Room decor is Beverly Hills modern (though the property is actually in Los Angeles). For the price, there could have […] been more attention to simple comfort - like an overstuffed chair for reading. Clip joint. The restaurants are ultra chi-chi with prices to match. Room service was $38 for a continental breakfast with unannounced service fees. Guests are forced to use valet parking for $36/night. Overall an interesting experience, but know what to expect before coming here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
HOTEL WAS PERFECT, LOCATION WAS PERFECT! Saw LA in A SHORT TIME..GOOD FOR SHOPPING, SIGHTSEEING AND THE BEACH, DISNEY WAS ABOUT AN HOUR AWAY..UNIVERSAL ABOUT 15 TO 20 MINS..NICER THAN THE BEVERLY WILSHIRE HOTEL AND BETTER LOCATION.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A lot of pretense, and a lot of disappointment"
This hotel is listed as a five star one, but it delivers only on four at most. The ony five star there are the prices for everything (you might want to call before booking and ask about their parking rate). The room design is supposed to be super modern but in fact living there has a lot of inconveniences. First of all, it is outright dark in the room […] so reading in bed is out of the question. But even if you have eagle's vision, you will have another problem with your book - there is no night stand to put it on. The only tiny space there is is occupied by a clock and a phone. You will have a problem with your clothes too as there are no drawers and only one small shelf in the closet. Opening this closet is another problem as the doors are tight and instead of handles they have rope loops you have to pull hurting your fingers. On the bright side though, the location is perfect, especially of you are there to shop. Beverly Center is 2 blocks away and Rodeo drive is in 20 minutes walk. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good hotel for a romantic get away"
Hotel is great. The only disappointment was the pool. Too many people allowed to walk right in and beds crammed in like a chicken farm. The Mondrian would have been a third cheaper and when I stayed there I thought the pool was better and the bed more comfyGenuine Expedia guest review
Phenomenal hotel. The only drawbacks are the valet parking (only parking option) at $36 per day and that the bathroom is not completely separated from the rest of the room itself, which eliminates privacy to an extent.Genuine Expedia guest review
