Great location, close to the Metro and must see historical sights. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is included, which makes for a good value. However, quality of rooms was not so good. We've booked a king size bed room and got one with 2 twin beds, not working TV and no electrical outlets for our needs. We asked for another room, which we […] got and which was better, with queen size bed, however, the shower was broken and the sink was plugged up. Given the normal state of Hotels in Moscoiw i.e. very expensive and awful, this a pleasant change + you get free international phone calls and Wifi that works very well everywhere. The only downside is that is a cab ride from the Metro station quality and choice of food is also better than most, prices much lower.

The floors were not vaccumed, the door men were not offering to carry our suitcases and the personel at the reception desk gave very unaccurate directions and one woman was very unfriendly. The lifts were very old and made scary noises. The hotel is up to date. The breakfast included was terrific. I chose an upgraded room to avoid a twin bed and found that true to European tradition, my double bed was actually two twins. Overall a good hotel with good staff at a good price. It's location next to the metro, bus line (to/from airport), and major tram lines made transportation very easy. However, due to the LARGE tour groups booking at the hotel at the same time as I (I was NOT with the tour), the staff had a difficult time scaling to meet the service requests/demands […] from the large groups of people and was not able to give an equal amount of attention to detail to all visitors (I.E. during check-in time, seating during breakfast time, luggage hold, etc, etc.). As a result of the added chaos from the large tour crowd, I rate this hotel a 3 out of 5 stars. Hopefully next trip, services will run a little smoother and I can rate a little higher. Read more

Hotel was on the outskirt of town, but very close to the subway. It was a 10 minute ride to the old quarter, 3 subway stops. There was not much around the hotel, but the hotel itself was lovely and the hotel staff could not have been nicer. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast buffet provides a variety of palatable food. Coffee is better some days more than others. There is no such thing as a big cup of American coffee but you can have all you want at the buffet. The bus--think it is 913-- from airport to Dejvicka--name of stop at Diplomat-- stops directly in front of hotel and can buy tickets at the airport booth--must […] pay for luggage--but $3 beats paying 500 Czech crowns or more one way with a disreputable taxi. Platform is low and easy to lift luggage. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Meals and drinks are extremely overpriced for quality-quantity in hotel restaurant but there are nearby cafes, restaurants and pizzerias to choose from. Beware that tours which offer hotel pick up often do NOT provide return trips. This hotel is located in Praha district 6. All the sites are in Praha 1-2 but so easy to get to by bus and metro, a stone's throw from hotel. Be sure to visit Kutna Hora, 80 km east of Prague, via bus tour available at the hotel. I will return to Diplomat again. Read more

Good hotel .... one warning. Watch out for the parking. If you are one minute over your 24 hours they will want another days fee. I was not happy and the manager did write the extra charge off which was very nice. Thank you.

It was soooooo true " Biggest buffett breakfast ever " as a review of this hotel! You can enjoy every moning, also you can eat ehough and they have many kinds of food! Awesome!! Never get lost to find the Hotel! Very easy access from Airport, it takes about 22 mins by Airport Bus 119 and takes about 2 mins walk from last bus stop ( Dejvicka ) and also […] 3 mins walk from Metro Last Station " Dejvicka" ( Line A ) This hotel is just inbetween Airpot and City Center! If you need to check out early the morning, you can ask staff and they will give you a copy of 119 Bus time table. Which is very nice! ( First Bus to the Airport is 4:58 a.m. ) I'll stay this hotel again if I could visit next time, for sure! Read more

Easy to get to from the airport (119 Bus stops outside), large hotel, Very clean and tidy, helpful staff, clean and comfortable room. Nice walk into City via Castle or take tube next door to hotel and 3 stops to city centre.

A very convenient hotel for the airport, it is at the terminus for the 119 bus route and fares are low. Just 24 Kc. To reach the centre and the most picturesque parts though needs further travel on the underground, but the nearest station is also close. There are some interesting restaurants nearby and also the Institute of Technology is within easy […] walking distance. The hotel boasts a business centre with 2 computers linked to the internet and the rooms also have free connections via cable.There was sufficient space in the room for an arm chair, and a table and chair for working although it may have seemed a little crowded if I had not been on my own. A large bar area provided space for sitting with colleagues in the evening without undue disturbance. The one criticism I would make is that the hotel clearly has strong links with some large, river cruise companies. This might on the one hand be a recommendation of quality, but for the independent traveller like me trying to get breakfast at the same times as those set by the tour operators it meant full lifts and difficulty in finding a table at breakfast, particularly as the tour guides were well provisioned with little reserved flags to make sure their protegees were not inconvenienced. I've been trying to think of something critical to say to balance this review but it's fair to say that everything was great. The location isn't central but the walk into the touristy parts is nice going by/through a park and through Prague castle then on into the centre of town. If you don't fancy this then the public transport in Prague is the best […] I've seen in any city. The 119 bus from the airport finishes its route right beside the hotel entrance and the subway stops right outside the hotel and will take you to the centre of town if you don't fancy walking (the hotel staff can sell you tickets too if your Czech language skills are lacking). The free wifi was handy in the hotel and the staff were all friendly and helpful.There is a number of shops and restaurants nearby that are of a good standard so you don't always have to head in to the centre of the city to get food. I suppose if I was going to be picky then I'd say that the room didn't have much of a view but that isn't a big deal when you only use the room to sleep and relax with a Czech beer while watching films on HBO. The Diplomat is a nice hotel on the outskirts of the centre and close to the airport. Catch the NO.15 bus from the airport for Dejvicka (last stop) and the hotel is right there. Takes about 15 mins and costs less than a quid. (£20 in a taxi) The rooms are comfortable and have the usual facilities. All staff at the hotel speak good english and all are […] friendly. I've stayed before and noticed the hotel is popular with Japanese, Korean and American tourists. The breakfast is great with a huge selection to cater for all tastes. Dejvicka metro station (Green, Line A) is outside the hotel and it's 2 stops to Malostranska (old town) or 4 to Mustek (Wenceslas Square) 5mins/10mins and again around a pound for the metro ticket. The Prague metro is reliable, frequent, clean and cheap way to move around Prague. Overall the Diplomat is a great base for a weekend getaway. Read more

This is the thrid time I have stayed at this highly recommended four star hotel. The airport bus (119) stops virtually outside the hotel. Breakfast great with plenty of choice. Coffee cups rather small so I use one of the tea pots instead! Plates also rather small buty you can hekp yourself to seconds!
