All round, this is a very good hotel and I would recommend it to other travellers. Location was great! The rooms are ultra modern and very small. Bath tub was VERY difficult and unsafe, especially for older guests. Very quiet and a nice private balcony. All but one restaurant were in the other Tivoli Hotel and was a short walk away. Very confusing.

The professionalism at the Tivoli Hotels is very impressive. The people at the front desk amazed me as i listen to them speak four different languages and change from one to the other, flawlessly. I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. The people were so friendly and accommodating. The room was modern and clean. The beds were softer and more comfortable than any other bed I experienced in Europe. They have a good breakfast in a cute dining room for 12 euro. I checked out of the hotel with a zero balance and a month later get a 67.00 euro charge on my credit card. I disputed it and the hotel sent a computer printout with no signature and no item purchased. Bank of America put it back on my bill. I just disputed it again. How dumb can this hotel be to ruin an otherwise nice stay for 67.00 euro?

We wanted a hotel that would be good for getting around Lisbon. The hotel was clean and modern and the rooms were pretty luxurious without having to pay a lot. Staff was very nice, though we had to wait to check out since there are not a lot of staff at any one time. Hotel was just OK. The hotel is a bit dated and has just OK decor/cleanliness/maintenance. The rooms were absolutely tiny. The room was basically a foot around the bed. Small closet and drawers; impossible for a couple to unpack all clothes and put away. No storage space in the bathroom for toiletries. The first room they put us in the AC wasn't working, […] and the technician was unavailable, so we had to move rooms in the middle of the night. Walls were dirty, pictures on the walls were askew, locks on windows were broken. Just a general state of disrepair. The other hotel we looked at and nearly booked and wished we had was the Sofitel. Hotel Tivoli Jardim is in a handy location just off Av. Liberdade and a good base for exploring the city. Rooms are clean, modern and stylish, but note that standard rooms can have slightly oddly placed toilets, making them tricky to use comfortably. There are a couple of restaurants in the hotel (which we didn't try but a Portuguese friends tells us […] are both good). There is a very nice pool area, which you have to go outside the hotel, through the car park and up some steps to get to. Great to be able to cool off in the pool after a hard day's sightseeing. Hotel breakfast is pricey but there's a great little coffee shop around the corner which has an amazing variety of juices, great coffee and lots of fresh and appealing bakery items, so you might want to try this instead. Reception staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. There are a couple of PCs with internet access just off the lobby. All in all we thought this was a very decent hotel, hard to fault, good value and will definitely stay there again on next trip to Lisbon. Read more

It is a lovely hotel, restaurant and bar are of a very high standard, our room 459 was very small and barely enough room to get around the bed, the bathroom, well what can I say the toilet was so close to the shower cubicle there was no way you could sit down without squeezing your knees to one side,(we are only average height 5ft 7in and medium build) […] the basin did not hold water as plug did not stay in and there was some grime around the shower tray. It was lovely to have the pool to relax around after a day sightseeing, very well kept and good staff, of course the only downside was 12.50 euros for a plain cheeseburger with crisps, and 6euros for 1.5 bottle of water. The breakfast was well overpriced at 15euros each, the hot selection was not hot at 9am, scrambled eggs, bacon just lukewarm. A good selection of cereals and fresh fruit was very enjoyable. A glass of port and glass of white wine 20 euros !!! The whole experience was very nice and we enjoyed our stay but would have liked to have been able to afford to eat there as well ! Read more

The location of the hotel is wonderful - just off the Avenida da Liberdade in a quiet side road yet close to many of the most attractive parts of Lisbon, with the funicular up to the Bairro Alto just a couple of blocks away and Rossio station to Sintra just down the Avenue. The decor is modern and stylish, the service friendly and efficient in a low-key […] kind of way, and as the name implies the hotel has a beautiful garden behind it including a large circular swimming pool. Our standard double room had a full king-size bed and all the usual facilities you'd expect in a hotel of this standard, including a Nespresso machine. The room could have been a little larger but the bathroom was a good size with shower, bathtub and bidet. This room was one of five at the side of the hotel that overlooked the swimming pool itself, a beautiful outlook. Rooms at the front have a balcony unlike those at the back, but the view at the front is not particularly attractive, and the garden view is the one to go for. Read more

We spent 3 nights in Lisbon and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The bed was really comfortable and the shower had one of those big shower heads! It was so nice. Vanessa on the front desk was really warm and welcoming (she told us were to visit), and the swimming pool was delightful. We would definitely stay there again!

The hotel is close to the centre of Lisbon, 10 minute walk, and next to a metro station to get further a field and home at night. €10 taxi ride to the airport or the airport shuttle bus stops almost outside the hotel. Expensive stay at regular prices but worth it if you get a late deal.
