The hotel itself was very nice, however, the restaurant / lounge was horrible. I paid extra to have breakfast included w/my stay. I expected a much better quality of food since the hotel was a Marriott chain. I think the motel 6 has better food than what I experienced at the hotel restaurant. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. We had nice lobby with fireplace, cafe, computers and airline boarding pass printer in a welcoming, open concept lobby. My two boys and I went for the weekend for my 7 year old's birthday. We really enjoyed the indoor pool and whirlpool. Every staff member we came across (service desk, housekeeping, restaurant) was nice and helpful. The man we checked in with asked if we had a floor preference, and we chose the top floor (out of three). We had a nice balcony with 2 chairs […] on it, but it was too cold to sit there. Nonetheless, I love balconys. The lobby is nice, and welcomes children. There are tvs everywhere, like in the booth you sit in to dine and a livingroom type setting to sit and watch tv while drinking coffee or on your laptop. I thought that was cool. A nice fireplace to lounge in front of. We got the package with the free breakfast. I would have liked a breakfast buffet for more options, but choosing from their menu was sufficient. Our room was a little unsatisfactory for me. The top sheets were "unfresh". To me, that's disgusting! There was a dried something on one of them. I requested two new sheets for our two beds, and that was taken care of, because I knew these sheets were clean. I found a cigar wrapper by the bed on the floor, and another piece of trash around the bed. Our favorite part was the indoor pool, and that we were the only ones there each time we went. There's really nothing fun for kids to do in the neighborhood of the hotel so we just swam. We ate dinner at Ruby Tuesday right next door for my son's birthday. Read more

I stayed just one night. The location was perfect for what we needed. About 3 miles from the airport, and about 2 miles from zona Rosa. the ruby tuesdays next door was perfect for dinner. Hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were actually proactive to anticipate our needs. We flew in late and needed a shuttle to the hotel. Free airport shuttle also runs after midnight which was very helpful. Waffle House and Ruby Tuesdays right next door, but other locations require car or shuttle. Shuttle will take you anywhere within […] 5 miles, which was also very helpful to us and allowed us to get out to shopping, movies or comedy club, and Harley Davidson factory for tour. Convenient to airport but not to downtown except by taxi. The desk clerk arranged a private ride for us to downtown which was very pleasant and reasonably priced. We booked our stay with the "breakfast" option. When we arrived, the staff refused to honor the "breakfast" option that I paid extra for. I had to argue with their staff to get them to honor the option, even with my confirmation in hand. The next morning, when we went to go eat breakfast, the morning staff refused us as well. This option should not be available for purchase if the hotels are not going to honor them. We have stayed there 3 times now and never had a problem at all. Everyone is alway's very helpful and nice. This is where we will stay now everytime we visit KC. We come down for chiefs football games and to just relax and have fun. Very easy for us to get to and choice of eating very close by. We also like there is a indoor pool to use.

We were in KC for long weekend getaway and were considering other hotels (suites) but settled on this Courtyard because of the price and the fact that we weren't planning on spending much time in the room.
