"Review of Kahler"
Very good experience with the Kahler, which was very close to the Mayo Clinic where I was for an Annual Physical.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Stay for heart doctor check up"
Caribou coffee, and Jimmy Johns in the front of the hotel ether to ur left or right. Hotel employees were nice and polite. Free indoor parking under the hotel or across the street. Building seams old, but they have updated/renovated it. I reserved a king bed suite, ended up getting a queen double bed room. Don't know where the mess up was either at […] the hotel when checking into room or over online. All in all, I'd probably call the hotel next time for reservation. "Convenient...attachment to Mayo is a HIGH draw."
We've been to this hotel a few times now and each time asked for a handicapped room. My mother is in a wheelchair and can not walk on her own. We have never received a handicapped room. In order for her to go to the bathroom, I have to pull the chair in the door way as far as it will go, stand her up, and carry her to the toilet. This in turns hurts […] my back and is a potential safety hazard due to lifting her. Even if she is only 98 lbs. Honestly I feel this hotel should have an abundance of handicapped rooms, it is attached to the best medical clinic in the world. Many people that come to this hotel are handicapped no one comes to vacation here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Rooms are clean, and I guess ok for price point. The AC did not work right, and it was not fixed in spite of being informed about the problem.Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed for a medical appointment, we wanted a comfortable place to rest between appointments that was clean & secure & close to the Mayo. We really enjoyed staying there & would stay there again when we need to go back to Rochester. Thank You Teresa EricksonGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice proximity mayo similar name to grand kahler."
Room locks terrible. Any where from9-15 attempts with key cards each time u go into room. Too similar to grand kahler hotel. Thought that is where we booked. Will not make the mistake again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel, Close to Mayo Clinic & Hospital"
Was at the clinic and hospital for Dr. Visit. Located right accross the street. Since I have difficulty walking it made the visit much easier to just walk accross the street.Genuine Expedia guest review
Continental breakfast was good. Hotel staff very helpful. Great location to the clinic. Underground passage helpful during ad weather. Room was clean & comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, well located close to Mayo Clinic."
Comfortable. Hotel staff helpful. Good food in dining room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Most convenient to Mayo Clinic"
This was our second stay. Based on that, there seems to be some variations in the rooms, even though the prices we paid both times were identical. We were more satisfied with our room this time, mainly due to size or spaciousness of the bedroom and the bath area. Both times rooms had two queen beds plus small refrigerator, but previous room was cramped […] for the two of us. Other than that nice, though, a small microwave would be nice. Also, both times were very quiet stays, very important to both of us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Mayo but wouldn't go there again"
Building is old, dirty area around the pool. Pool area was very small, no towels at the end of the day. Staff was fine. Stairwells were down right scary. Overall cleanliness of the place was fair at best.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the Mayo"
We came because we had to, for the appointments for my husband. We parked in the Damian parking garage because the appt said to park there. When we had time to check in between appointments, we did. This is our first time at the clinic and never stayed in Rochester. The first thing the lady said to me was "you will have to pay 12.00 parking fee because […] you didn't book with us." Okay. No smile, nothing that would indicate that she wanted us to be there. I work with the elderly and I know how to treat even difficult people. Her name tag picture looked like a man, but she was pretty, but I don't rmember her name Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel close to Mayo Clinic"
Great location; room was not really clean, though, when I got there.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very helpful staff but parking ramp is an issue. Very tight and found the last stall when going back out. Rooms comfy and most important is the great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My only regret is that I didn't have another night to stay, it was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Kahler dislikes Expedia"
This hotel seems to resent bookings made through Expedia judging by their comments at check-in. Desk clerk unfriendly and negative. Hotel worn and tired. I sense no respect or concern for customer but the location is great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"At the Mayo clinic"
I stayed for 6 nights and changed rooms to a suite with a microwave. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of room 327- the carpeting needed shampooed and smelled dirty. When I upgraded to 844 I was pleasantly surprised with the room change - clean and much bigger. Some of the staff was much more friendly n helpful then others.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very close to Mayo. No major complaints."
Very close to the Mayo clinic. Had underground tunnels for quick access to the clinics multiple buildings. Room was clean and decent size for a non-suite. Nothing spectacular but it did have a mini-fridge for snacks. Complimentary breakfast with reasonable hours. Jimmy John's adjacent to lobby for quick food as well as smoothie shop and coffee shop. […] Never had a problem finding a parking space in the two garages. They charge for parking but it wasn't too expensive considering everywhere there charges for parking. Only complaint was they don't answer the front desk phone when called from room apparently. Forgot a question when talking to staff in lobby, called from room right when I got upstairs. No answer. This happened on more than one occasion. Other than that, it served the purpose it was for. Pillows were a little too fluffy and lumpy and there was a thin blanket vs a comforter, these are minor complaints though. I was there for a week for a consult and subsequent testing at the Mayo clinic and had no real problems with this hotel. Would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Easy to find. Good & quiet AC. Having a pool was great even though I was too tired to use it. Staff people were very polite & helpful. I especially liked the "Crossings" restaurant downstairs. And I had probably the best "Patty Melt" ever! It was so great to discover that I could leave my truck parked in the facility next-door & it was included in my […] hotel expenses. I will tell friends & family about how nice it was to stay here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Convenient hotel in downtown Rochester"
A pleasant hotel that is well maintained with great amenities that are convenient. The restaurant has a newly added restaurant and bar as well as a Caribou Coffee and a Jimmy Johns that are accessable from the Hotel Lobby. Plus the Mayo Clinic and the rest of dowtown Rochester are within walking distance. The rooms are fine but the bathrooms and toilets […] are small. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect place for Mayo patients to stay!"
Right across the street from the EIsenberg,Gonda, and Mayo buildings! Nice and close. :-) very friendly staff. Room was very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were very happy with our stay except: Bathroom too small, no grab bars in bathroom, the "easy chair" was not comfortable. The overall service was outstanding.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Staff are a dissapointment. Room smelled."
Convenience to Mayo Clinic at a cost! This place is just a mess.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location for Mayo Clinic patients. They were working on the restaurant during our stay and loud construction noises began before 8am and woke our children. Location is the sole reason for our stay. Can find much nicer, newer hotels for less money outside of clinic area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Our stay was comfortable and location convenient"
Room was clean, staff was friendly or professional- sometimes even both. Couldn't be any more convenient for Mayo patients. Big Mike touted the prime rib and Crossings (hotel restaurant). We waited 4 nights to get the prime rib, as it was sold out for the first 3. (it was ok- I've had more flavorful and more tender- but it was ok.) One gripe was the […] online menu for Crossings claiming to have Gluten free Chicken consomme- it didn't, and furthermore- it could've caused a celiac great pain and sickness if they believed the online menu without asking first for some reason. The hotel restaurant needs to update the online menu and even the in-house menu. While restaurant issues might be considered separate from the hotel- having something gluten free on the menu that is a non-solid was one of the reasons this hotel was selected. I'll toss out a + for guest laundry (2 washing machines and dryers for normal rate) being available. +Decent rates overall, considering proximity to Mayo. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very convenient to Mayo Clinic"
Easy to find and park, although you are charged daily for parking. The hotel and rooms are very clean and well maintained. The suite we had was really an elongated room with sitting area, small table, microwave, mini fridge and dishes, silverware and glasses/cups - no real separation of sleeping and living area. I am an early riser; my husband is not, […] so I was hoping for a door or separation of area to minimize the chance of waking him. The restaurant has very good food and wonderful wait staff, although you have to wait for the kitchen to produce the order. I thought it was a bit expensive but perhaps the easy access to Mayo Clinic is worth the extra to some. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to mayo clinis"
Stayed two weeks ago, then again this past week for medical services. Best convenience was the proximity of the hotel and the use of a hot tub. Even though the hot tub was quite tiny, I was able to use that as well as the pool the first stay, that really helped with my pain and discomfort. This past week I was quite disappointed that the pool/hot tub […] was closed for a couple of days, then the hot tub was finally open our last night stay. Had I known this I would not have selected this hotel the second time as I felt the use of this hot tub really helped decrease the pain I was having. Wish I would have been informed the pool and hot tub were not in working order prior to checking in. Staff was vary helpful and apologetic , unfortunately that didn't change the situation nor were rates of the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
