"Better hotel rooms and service for the same price"
We checked into a dirty room with 2 beds…had to go back downstairs to see guest services. Asked for the room we paid for clean/King bed. Front desk said they were booked. I asked for a room upgrade. And then guest services all of a sudden had rooms for us. We cancelled the rest of our stay with the Monte Carlo and moved to Ceasers Palace. "Internet is very bad"
If you need internet to work like I did, don't stay here. This hotel,is very aware of the internet complaints but has not fixed the issues for years and don't plan on upgrading to a decent áervice anytime soon. Your wireless data will be what you end up using.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Book a Strip View"
August 2014. The noice from the construction was bad, woke us up at 7:40. We switched to another room and could hear it a little but recommend you book a strip view room. When we first arrived, the wait wasn't too bad to check in, the nice man that watched out for the next available check-in employee, he was very nice, very professional. Does his job very well, can't remember his name. The gentleman that checked us in was very nice, he wanted to give us a room that was on a higher floor than what our reservation had […] told us on Hotels.com, so I thought maybe that's a good thing. The hotel itself was very nice. When we got to the room, very disappointed,looked nothing like it did online, we didn't get the room it said we were getting. beds weren't that comfortable, bathroom was way too small, my daughter found holes in her sheets, I saw some black marks on my husband & I's sheets, looked like mascara? ad wi-Fi problems, and the TV was not working right at all, lost connection few too many times. Overall not happy with the room, hotel was very nice, had fun at the pool, and loved the little cafe Sabatina or something like that. I would not stay here again during the construction. It wakes you up daily because they start very early in the morning. I would think the prices would reflect this while its going on. "Rooms need updating!"
I was disappointed in the room. It was not very clean and they need updating. The $35 buffet credit I was supposed to get with each room was not ever applied. The first two times I have stayed at the MC I upgraded to a strip view room-but was pleased to see my deluxe room offered just as nice of a view! We generally stay at Monte Carlo as we always have a good experience. As usual, it didn't disappoint. Had a clean room, nice staff and this time received two vouchers for the buffet. "Horrible horrible stay!"
First, we were given the wrong room number and after having walked all the way to our room, (keep in mind these hotels are huge and crowded and we're carrying bags) we find out it's the wrong room! We walked back and were still given the wrong room! Finally after the 3rd time we got in. This all took 2 hours due to the crowds. After seeing how upset […] we were, they only offered to refund our resort fee of $20.. We had come for a relaxing getaway and ended up stressed out before even getting to our room. Oh and the ac was not working well at all. We were there during a hot weekend and couldn't breathe due to the heat! "Property- nice; rooms- filthy"
Hotel property is beautiful. Rooms are nothing special. Cleanliness doesnt seem to be a priority. Many stains on carpet.Old beat up and deteriorating furniture and chairs. Coffee table was missing large chunks of its outer decorative laminate layer. Material on chairs was cranking from wear. Toilet seat had dried urine on it. Tub was stained and filthy […] looking. It had what appeared to be a white powdery substance covering. Almost like they used comet cleaner and didnt wash it away. Bathrooms dont have fans in them. There are vents in the ceiling that look like they are fans but none of the switches avtivate a fan. The vents are corroded in large dust build up. The Monte Carlo is a DUMP! The first two floors have been renovated, and are beautiful (casino, shops, restaurants, etc). Our hotel room on the 28th floor overlooking the strip (which we paid extra for) was a dump! So very disappointed with our stay. The stay was great clean rooms very comfortable. but is ridiculous that wi-fi is only available on the first floor. The worst thing is that we left an item behind in the room and it was not an expensive item but a very special item and was never logged in to the lost and found. called 30 minutes after checking out and nobody was able to give us an answer […] told us to call when security was in about 9pm first security said that they did find an item and described it and that he was going to call to give me a ticket claim number and never received a call. second day was told i was goign to get a call and again nothing and finally was told that nothing was found had to stop by on our way from Utah and make a report. The room is a bit run down and old. The main problem with the room here is that there is NO WiFi!!! What decade are we in? We had to PLUG IN our computer to the ethernet port, so only one person could be on the internet in the room at once, and they had to sit at the desk, as the cord wasn't long enough to get to the bed. "Amazing experience but terrible private restrooms"
The rooms were as expected- nice, without being overly luxurious or anything. However, the bathrooms were so subpar. What kind of a 4-star hotel bathroom only has 1 dim light? At least the light was over the sink, so I could apply my makeup properly. However, the tiny tub with the shower curtain was so dark, that I could barely see in the shower. The […] water pressure in the shower was also pretty terrible, and the water felt like a light drizzle. It also took forever and a day for the shower to get hot. I think it was 10minutes into my shower that I finally felt the water reach a comfortable temperature. I had it on the hottest possible, and didn't need to turn it down at all during my 20 minute shower. Wifi is only complimentary in the lobby and public areas, and guests have to pay for wifi in their rooms. The concierge was very helpful in booking Blue Man Group tickets for us a few hours before the show. We got discounts on seats towards the front of the theater, thanks to our m-life membership. The checkout process was very efficient and simple, thanks to their check out computer kiosks. And they were more than happy to hold our bags for us until our flight in the evening. I'm not exactly sure if I would stay in the Monte Carlo again because of the bathrooms. Well first off when arriving at the hotel I was greeted by an hour wait just to check in, after that I went to my room where I was greeted by someone else already in there me and my pregnant wife went through this process 5 times up down up down up down and I'm not talking about just to the 5th floor it was the 31,30,29,23,21 we got to the hotel at […] 3pm and didn't get to a room untill about 6. Let it be know it was our anniversary at that so we where not so pleased, one of the rooms we where in was not even cleaned had hair all over the bed was not vacuumed at all, the bathroom was used and not even cleaned, the pool had so many kids in it the lazy river was not even enjoyable I paid 10 bucks for my pregnant wife to get a float and to just relax and we'll we could not do that after 10 min of being splashed bumped into flipped over by all of the kids running around in circles through the lazy river well we left. As trying to get a refund because we could not enjoy the float in the river I was told go away there is nothing I can do to help you.
