"Great value and great hotel!"
The hotel rooms were really nice and roomy. The beds were so comfortable. We had no choice but to sleep when we laid on them. The only complaint is the food choices. The Buffet was really terrible. The food was bland. For the price, the food should have been awesome. The food court was ok. Overall the hotel was very nice.

"Isolated on the South Strip"
Hotel is fine, but the Aria/Crystals complex has blocked walking access to the Strip and the MC is now on an island. There is a tram to bypass this, way at the back of the hotel complexes, but it's no substitute for walking along the Strip, which I think of as one of the must-do Vegas experiences. Stay on the East side of the Strip to avoid this. I can't believe the city of LV allowed this, but money talks, so you can't walk.

"Melbourne to Monte Carlo"
We slowly realised that Las Vegas isn't really our bag. But as far as the hotel goes, it was pretty good for the price. The included buffet with our room package was definitely a big bonus. The room is a little run down in places as the other reviews suggest, but for the price you are paying, the place is nice enough. Staff were helpful whenever we needed their assistance and express check out was very convenient.

"Old worn out Monte Carlo!"
The hotel is in serious need of renovation, rooms have no amenities such as coffee or mini-bars and towels are old and worn out. I HAVE STAYED AT 2 STAR HOTELS THAT WERE IN BETTER SHAPE! Would not stay there again.

"An (slightly) affordable place on the strip"
It's a great place. It's part of the MGM brand of casinos but is half the cost and equal in every way. I wish there were more family things, especially at the pool. I think that is a Vegas problem rather than Monte Carlo in Particular.

"Everything was great but........"
Swimming with candy wrappers and cigarette butts in the wave pool. Cleaning lady never replaced our towels during our stay. We tracked her down and asked but she never followed through with dropping clean ones off.

Enjoyed swimming with sharks & the water slide was fun! Our 6 year old, 8 year old & 11 year old enjoyed learning about the different sharks. The Italian restaurant was really good too.

Overall my stay was great. The begining was a bit underwhelming since when I arrived they said they had no upgrades avail and more 1st room night was small and under furnished but 2nd-3rd were great I spoke to a new front desk clerk and got a suite upgrade so I was very happy. And the hotel pool was amazing

"Great hotel and well priced. Awesome view."
Everything was great. The air conditioning was not extremely cold. It was comfortable enough to sleep with a sheet. We kept the curtains closed during the day and that helped. It is just so hot outside in July that it seems reasonable that the a/c did not keep it really cold. Otherwise, the Monte Carlo is a very nice hotel that is centrally located. A negative at this time is the road work being done on the entrance off of Las Vegas Blvd. It is impossible to get back onto the strip from the hotel. You have to get on the interstate and drive north or south to the next exit or follow the signs to LVB and end up pretty far south. Just go north on the interstate if you want to go to Freemont St or the northern part of the strip. It is ok, but the signs are a little confusing.

"Great for family"
Stayed here with the family. Room are good size. Hotel rooms are getting a little outdated but are clean and beds are comfortable. Pool is great for families with a lazy river and wave pool. My kids had a great time. Hotel is in a good location with easy access. I would go back with my family again in the future.

Room is clean but the basic room that hotel.com offer is like motel type quality don't imigine luxurious vegas room. Old & dingy carpet, smell old, no refrigerator, the buffet is not good at all for $19/person lunch- spend it somewhere else.

We love this hotel but...after our flight had been delayed 3 hours and not arriving until 1am, we were exhausted. I walked across the carpet barefoot and it was wet in several spots and there were Cheerios on the floor! Obviously not cleaned well. Very disappointing. It is in need of a face lift too.

"Wonderful Hotel"
I love this hotel. But for some reason our room was up'd to a suite. Too bad we had to leave soon after waking the next morning. I never heard a thing from our room, perfectly quiet. As always, Vegas is making improvements and dragging our suitcases across the parking lot, across the streets and in at 1:00am was a frustration, as was finding the opening to get into the parking lot. Then we waited in a good sized line for one of the two open windows to check us in (kind of like Walmart, they probably have 18 check in windows)was not wonderful. But again, it was all worth it in the end.

The best part of the hotel was the lazy river and wave pool. The temperature was over 100 so it was great to relax by the pool. The location was also good. It was close by many of the other casinos.

4th of July weekend vacation third year in a row. Stayed here last year and was happy. This year I was a little disappointed. The rooms need an update and my toilet was clogged when we checked into our room. The casino had more smoke than most newer resorts on the strip. Time for a remodel to keep up with the competition.

"Monte Carlo missed the marl this time"
I usually like MC. This time, though, not so much. Had to call maintenance for serious mold in the shower and bath, plus in the tile on the floor. Absolutely unacceptable. Cleaning crew did their best to clean it, but in our minds, the damage was done. Will probably never stay here again. On a positive note, everyone at hotel was great; friendly, helpful, accommodating. Great location, great restaurants and stores.

It is a old property showing its age. Room are spacious and clean, however ACs do not work properly. Resort fee is a big rip off as there is no major resort type activities. Would rather spend little more and stay in a better place or stay away from the strip to save money. Location is just ok, as it located on the south end of the strip.

Check in time is exactly 3PM , won't let you in not even a minute early. We checked in 20 minutes before 3PM, no rooms still available. Checked with clerk 5 minutes before 3pm , was told to check again by 3 finally was able to get our room.

Pool and lazy river was packed but a great central location on the strip makes up for it. The only negative was that we found two "questionable" hairs - one on bed and one in shower on the first day but other than that incident the hotel was clean.

The hotel rooms are in sad shape - tiles missing in the bathroom, furniture is chipped, large mirror missing off the wall. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean but I would not stay here again. The pool are is small and overcrowded and the wave pool was dirty.

"Customer service at its best???"
Reserved a $55/day room with two queen beds. We arrived on Sunday amongst the typical 3pm checkin crowd and was given a room. Upon opening the door to my room I was greeted with half eaten pizza boxes and several cases of empty beer bottles. There were cut limes and salt all over the table. The beds had the linen balled on top. The room smelled as if alcohol had been spilt all around. We called the front desk and complained and they apologized for the "human error" and quickly (15 minutes later) re-assigned us a new room. Entering that room it was in a little better shape but was also an unmade up room, once again blaming "human error." Now angry we called the desk and demanded some answers. They offered us a superior room (upgrade) and comped us a $50 dining credit as well as 4 buffets. Upon arrival to the upgraded room we quickly noticed that although the room was much larger, there was only 1 king bed. They told us they were getting cots to make up the difference. So now my reserved room of two queen beds is now a king bed and a cot, only half of us got upgraded, and you get the unrequested 5am construction worker wake up call. Three days later I tried to use the online text message/internet auto checkout feature. Bottom line it doesn't work, so use the kiosk. Looking at my final bill, I was charged for the comped buffets and didn't receive my $50 dining credit. I once again called the front desk to complain and they told me "human error" was at fault.

"No Wheelchair Rooms with 2 Beds! Nice Pool Though!"
The Monte Carlo does NOT Have ADA wheelchair accessible rooms with 2 queen beds, as advertised and later confirmed by Hotels.com. Otherwise, the rooms are pretty nice. I would rank the pool in the top 5 on the strip.
