"Wouldn't stay here again, too much $ for old hotel"
This is an older hotel and could use some renovation. The staff was friendly and helpful though, even if they were hard for my non-Spanish speaking wife to understand most of the time. While we were there the WiFi did not work in the rooms, only in the lobby. Overall, I wish I would have spent a little more for a nicer hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall my stay was good, I won't say great. Obviously you won't get Hyatt/Sheraton comfort in Ramada for this price. If you are planning to check-in to a motel just to fresh up/keep your laguage and sleep, I would definitely suggest this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great staff; awful internet."
They know their internet access SUCKS - so they are replacing it. The staff is AWESOME, but if you want to work from your room, call first to see if repairs are complete. Bambi and Mercedes are very responsive to any need you may have.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel for the money - would stay again."
Breakfast was good; Pool is not super clean but not bad. Had everything in room that I needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ramada Florida City"
What I look for in a hotel when I travel is: a clean room, a comfortable bed, and free breakfast. This hotel delivered that and more. One thing I will caution the traveler about. If you are using Mapquest and are coming from the Keys - stay on Route 1 and turn right on Palm - the hotel is opposite the Mutineer restaurant. We followed Mapquest and would […] up on the Florida Turnpike and had to go well out of way to loop back. Not the hotel's fault by any means but something the traveler should know. If you are going to visit either Key Biscane or the Everglades. I would not hesitate to recommend the Ramada in Florida City. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for Key West bound travelers"
We loved it. It was right en route to our destination of Key West. There were plenty of options for dining and shopping as well. We would definitely stay again. Nice breakfast also. The only downside for me was that the a/c was a little loud for sleeping, it didn't bother my husband though, he could sleep through a train wreck. Overall, very please […] d! "OK, not great."
The hotel is clean and fairly modern if a little tatty round the edges. My big beef was that it was advertised as having wifi which was essential for me as I had work to do, but only after checking in and getting to my room did I learn that it didn't work - I was told by reception that they had trouble with it and would be fixed the next day (when I'd […] be gone). These things happen, I know, but it would have been nice to have been told before I checked in. I ended up having to find a McDonalds and sit there to get my work done. "Good value, location for Everglades, Biscayne NP"
We liked this hotel and the price well enough that we extended our stay from two nights to three. It was a great staging location after visiting the Keys to stay before and after stopping at Everglades National Park. For our added day, we went to Biscayne National Park, which wasn‘t too far, but we also went to Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in […] Coral Gables, which was quite a drive, but this hotel was still a lot cheaper than those closer to Miami. Ramada Florida City is an older motel-style hotel, but it seemed as if they‘d recently updated the carpet in our room. Breakfast included sausage and scrambled eggs, as well as juice, cereal, waffles, pastries, and yogurt. The breakfast room was small, but never too crowded. The electronic room key was one were you had to touch it too the lock rather than inserting it, and I found it hard to use. The hotel‘s wireless internet service was weak and never did get it to work, but they do have a pc for guest use in the lobby. Finally, if you park on the outside perimeter under a palm tree, make sure there aren‘t any dead fronds that are going to drop because we saw a big one fall. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great room and service for a great price. Willbe there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall it was a positive experience. did not like the pillows at all. room was clean. brkfst was good typical continental. the location was great. centrally located. girl at front desk when we checked out was kinda rude. looked bored and did not smile once. i would rate 2 1/2-3. next time we go will not return there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Below Ramada standards"
Would not stay again. Poor condition of the room. Carpets were filthy. Good location. I'm surprised Ramada allows this property to keep Ramada name because of the poor quality of the rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wifi is very slow."
the room is clean and comfort, but Wifi could only be used in early morning.Genuine Expedia guest review

"starbucks across the street, cant beat that"
Great value for the money, Good trailer parking spots. Free breakfast was better than most. Staff was very nice. Room was good. Only issue was shower slow to drain but the water pressure and shower head was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"On the low end of expectations"
I will give the desk staff great credit for being very pleasant and very helpful. That aside, this hotel is well past it's prime. I've stayed in many other 2 stars, and while this still might make that category, it is really showing it's age. Cleanliness and comfort were not totally unacceptable, but again, on the low end of the 2 star scale. The carpet […] was soaking wet and smelled of mildew. The neighborhood is safe enough I would guess, but not pleasant. A few restaurants are within walking distance. The prior ratings for this hotel are too optimistic, I thought. It was on the lower end of the price scale, too, thus I got what I paid for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not Typical Ramada Quality"
Filthy, poor maintenance, Lots of mold, terrible aroma, carpets dirty, pool needs cleaning & repair... The location is perfect for anyone going to the Keys. The worst part the staff did not even ask how was the stay. Never again, I'll never stay at Ramada in the USAGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Given the choices in the area, it's OK."
I was originally going to trash this hotel in the review, but in the grand scheme it's really not bad for a stay. There are few choices in the Florida City area and there are worse hotels. The staff was prompt, friendly, and courteous. The breakfast and coffee were welcome in the early morning (except the eggs which, if not instant from powder, came […] from unhealthy chickens). As a place to stay on your way to the Keys, it's not bad. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"NEAR THE TURNPIKE"
THIS HOTEL IS IN NEED OF AN UPDATE! THE RUGS WERE DISGUSTING! THE EXTERIOR WAS NOT IN GOOD SHAPE EITHER!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pretty good for the money you pay. Breakfast was nice. Bathroom is dated, exhaust fan did not work. My daughter left her laptop charger in our room, we realized it when we came back home, called hotel ask if they can check for us, got no feedback at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near Everglades National Park"
Adequate acommodations in a good location. Room clean, comfortable and safe. A few details needing attention: room sink faucet needed repair and breakfast accommodations were cramped. No drinking water was available for breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"By and large, Service was lacking"
I chose this location because it was close to Everglades Nat'l Park where before & after appointments I went birding. S. Florida is known as one of the best birding location in America. Anyway, nothing about this hotel is easy. It is located on Hwy 1 but you have to turn off hwy 1 and make a U-Turn at the Outlet Mall entrance to get to the hotel. This […] is a very busy intersection so that takes a while. Once there the check in line was lengthy with unhappy customers. One lady took pictures of her room with a crack and a whole in the wall. The best they could do for her was to offer the cleaning crew to come back in and try and clean the room better. My room however, was perfect. I think they must be in the middle of renovation & mine had already been completed. Parking is also a problem, with just enough parking for 1 car per room. Next was service. Beside a very slow check in, the next morning at 6am when breakfast was suppose to be ready, it was not. This forced the front desk to put out the breakfast and she let ALL of us know that she was not happy it. As one said: "I guess I got the time wrong, I thought breakfast started at 6?" Simply bad attitudes for the most of the staff was apparent. The front desk morning staff were great when I needed a little later check out as I had a flat tire and was delayed in getting back to the hotel after birding. I would probably NOT stay at this hotel again due to the poor attitude of many of the support staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the Keys :)"
The neighborhood is questionable, the room was clean, the girl (Mersades)at the desk knew where we were when we were lost like 30 miles away that was awesome!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Little quirks but not bad for the money"
A good room for the one night that we stayed there. Had to be careful of toilet paper and tissue usage as the room did not have any extras. A small TV menu and a surprisingly limited amount of parking...if the hotel is full, good luck finding a close spot. The breakfast in the morning was VERY popular and it was tough finding a place to sit down in […] the lobby area. A funky walkway in front of all the ground floor rooms (looked like a temporary cover over the cement.......repair upcoming?). Entrance to the hotel is only possible from the NE corner of the intersection so plan accordingly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable Inexpensive Stay"
Hotel location was great for Everglades, Upper Keys and a day in Miami. Lots of dining and shopping options nearby. Comfortable room with microwave and fridge. Breakfast could be good, but really overcrowded. It felt like a everyone was just trying to get into that tiny space to find that it wasn't very well stocked. Other than the breakfast situation, […] everything else and all the staff were great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a bad choice if you are going to Evergaldes"

"Good hotel for a rest during your way to Key West"
We spend a night at this hotel when traveling to Key West. If you want a place for just a rest, this is a good place. It is very near to the Florida Key Outlet center, and the staff there is very nice. BTW, the breakfast is good, just too many people.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Heating was not working"
Overall good stay. Only thing was that heating was not working. Did not reported to front desk as we checked in very late as were not in motivated enough to move to another room. Hope the house keeping keep the equipment working and have scheduled maintenance. Breakfast was so so. At 9.30 fresh fruits were gone and were not refilled.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Bathroom door would not close, room smelly like a wet dog, caulking was peeling everywhere. Overall not goodGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worst Ramada we have ever stayed"
We got a room at first floor and it smelt bad as a smoke room. We changed to a room at second floor and still smelt bad so I think it is not an individual case. Hotel overall looks very old and lack of maintenance. Breakfast ends at 10 AM and we reached breakfast area around 9:50 AM. The cleaning lady (maybe she is also the one who prepared for breakfast) […] was very unfriendly and complained loudly regarding our late. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Nice place and nice rooms, I really liked the people working in the reception daytime - the night time receptionist was a bit too cranky and angry. The woman who worked with the breakfast was scary and really angry. Wouldn´t mind staying here againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
