I've stayed at many hotels in this class of hotels while traveling with my dog. This was a good one. Plenty of sidewalks to walk the dog without having to walk into the grass. The hotel has a deli/restaurant on site that was very good and convenient.

Everything was exactly as we requested when placing our reservation for 2 rooms. Convenient location, connecting rooms, very clean rooms and bedding, comfortable mattresses. They had a great breakfast buffet that we all enjoyed - plenty of food with a nice variety each morning. They also had soup or chili, cookies, etc. in the evening. Coffee, tea […] and cocoa was available 24/7. The breakfast saved us quite a bit of time and money. We all enjoyed their nice, clean pool. This hotel overall was great. When I checked in the bathroom was not very clean and when I called to let the desk know they upgraded my room to a suite and compensated me with another night stay. The service from the desk and the managers were very helpful always asking how they can improve my stay. The housekeeping in this region seemed very poor overall […] even talking with others who were staying in the area. I could tell the walls in the shower were not wiped once the entire two weeks I stayed in the room. The breakfast buffet in the hotel was the best I have ever seen that was completely free. Many choices and the hotel would also serve dinner on occasion. Compared to the other hotels withinthe surrounding area this one topped them all. I will be back again to stay. My wife and I stayed here because we were visiting Hershey's Chocolate World and Gettysburg. Because of their geographic locations we wanted to stay somewhere centrally located between these two places, and so I chose the western side of Harrisburg. I wanted a place that had breakfast included and had a series of good reviews. This Hampton Inn wasn't […] like any other Hampton Inn I've stayed in before. The breakfast was rather expansive. We stayed three nights. The first morning was scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage. The next morning was cheese omelettes and ham, and the last morning was western omelettes and maple sausage. Of course there was fruit, doughnuts, danish, muffins, toast, coffee, cereal, etc. The room was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was very clean as well. You could tell the linens including the duvet was washed for each guest stay as they advertise. We were on the 4th and top floor, and never really had a problem with noise. Sunday morning there was more noise than normal because people were getting ready to check out and head home and Saturday night there was some noise emanating from the pool (heated, btw), but that didn't go late... maybe 10 p.m. Restaurants, shops, etc. directly around the hotel is somewhat non-existent, though it is rather centrally located to highways, including the PA Turnpike. There is a deli type place located directly next door to the hotel, although my wife and I didn't go. To get to the area of the city where the restaurants are located you have to drive several miles, but no more than a 10-15 minute drive. Overall, if there's any reason for you to be staying in this area, then stay at this Hampton Inn. Read more

We stayed here for 2 days it was clean, and the breakfast was great. The rooms were smaller than the regular Hampton Inns i stay in. But nonetheless it was a great stay. The staff was very nice and the lady at the breakfast buffett was very sweet. I would stay here again for sure.

We went to visit a nearby school and were very pleased with this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. A lot of TV channels to choose from. Breakfast was very good. We did not realize this hotel provides hot breakfast and variety of food.

I enjoyed the normal good service of the Hampton Inn chain. I guess this particular hotel is not as new as the one in Danbury, CT that I stayed at the night before. Although the staff were pleasant, the breakfast good, and the bed comfortable, a few items in the rooms could be updated which we enjoyed in the Danbury hotel--bigger bathtub, light switches […] with dimmers, and express checkout. in general the hotel was nice, with attentive staff and the usual amenities. two problems, one minor and the other major. minor-- the buffet breakfast was mobbed each morning, with no real place to sit. the more significant: the maid knocked on the door at 8:00 am and, when told we were not yet ready to go out, asked " well when will you be ready then". […] when we returned later that day all our towels had been taken and no new ones left. the desk readily obliged, but we left with a bad taste. I would recomemnd smokers go outside to feed thier habit not use hotel rooms which absorb the smoke smell. As a hotel chain i would recommend they do not allow smoking in the rooms in is a diservice to and unhealthy for others.

I had read a few reviews stating that the hotel was being renovated, but because the room rate was pretty low, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the lobby, hallways, and rooms were very tastefully renovated, with contemporary furnishings and a clean, crisp look. The free full breakfast including egss and waffles was […] an added bonus. The location is a bit out of the way, there's really nothing much around it at all. I think I only slept for 2 to 3 hours the whole night. I kept waking up in pain and every time I went to sleep, the air conditioner turned on and wakened me. The breakfast was excellent. Our children liked the pool. I will never stay in this hotel again. The hotel needs to buy new beds and a new heating / cooling system.

We really had an enjoyable stay . It was only a 1 night stop over as was the case with some of the other guests I spoke to. Great value and very helpful staff. It's not a 5 star resort , but then again this hotel doesn't claim to be .

Excellent facility for the price. Standard of Hampton Inns well maintained at this facility. Only minor downside is the location in an industrial park that was devoid of all activity and nearby eateries.
