Not a bad hotel for the price. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was decent, and the staff was really friendly and helpful. It's aging a bit and could use a bit of a facelift though.

My only complaints are that the beds were on the hard side, and there was hair in the bathtub. Everything else was very clean and smelled fresh. Another minor thing was that it was hard to get the temp just right because it would get to warm while the unit kicked off then too cold while it was on. Hotel clerk was very nice. Hotel in need of renovations. Beds were uncomfortable and we found a used condom under the bed in plain view when my 12 year old son was trying to plug in his Ipod charger. This finding is unacceptable.

This is the 3rd hotel we've stayed at in Blacksburg and by far the best. We were cheerfully greeted at the front desk even though we didn't get there until 1 am, and the breakfast buffet had double the choices of the other hotels we've tried. Very convenient to Va. Tech. This will be our pick for Blacksburg going forward.

25th Anniversary and Blacksburg location was just the right location between Blacksburg/Christiansburg. Stayed on the 4th floor with King bed and it was quiet and relaxing. Prefer to stay here in the future. Ladies at front desk (Fri Mar 8) was friendly and helpful.

we were in town for a Hokie club event. the Comfort Inn provided a very good value with a room price almost one half the price of ones near campus. We made it to Lane Stadium in under 10 minutes. Well worth the lower cost.

The hotel is dated. We had no hot water for showers. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to another room. Guess what.....no hot water there either. I paid a lot of money for the rooms and it was not worth it.

pay per view was not working batteries in the tv remote were in need of replacement and they didnt have any the a/ c was set where it couldnt be lowered manually below 69 so if you like it cool in your room to sleep, dont stay here. Bagels were stale

The hotel was very nice and I was very happy to find the room had a frig and microwave. The bed was comfortable and the room was well maintained. I know since I didn't leave it for 3 days except for meals. The only down fall was the distance to campus and you couldn't walk anywhere. They do offer a free gym pass and shuttle which is nice.

An old Q-tip greeted us in front of our door and hung out for the duration of our stay (only one night.) Other than that, great service. Pretty much what you'd expect from a Comfort Inn (slightly outdated.) I'd stay again for the price.

A little disappointed at housekeeping. I put the little "save water" on my bed, knowing i didnt need them washed for only two nights, but was disappointed that the bed wasnt even made. Also, they took the used bar of soap and forgot to give me a new one. Other than that, it was fine.

We traveled to Blacksburg for VT orientation. The hotel was priced well and the room was sufficient for our needs. It would be nice if they did not have the trash hauler picking up at 4:00 AM. Breakfast bar was very nice.

The room was clean and spacious. We needed a room close to VA Tech due to an event we were attending. I chose this hotel because it was close, however, the front desk staff was not able to give us directions. There were two staff members behind the desk....one looked like she didn't even know where she was, the other mumbled while looking for a map […] (which they didn't have any of) and then eventually told us to "go to the light and go straight". Try to store the cleaning carts when not in use somewhere other than the hall by the lobby. First things I saw on my way to my room. Employees extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise.

Originally I would have said our stay at the Comfort Inn in Blacksburg exceeded our expectations. However the one desk clerk on duty Saturday afternoon on June 9, ruined it for us. We had a large group staying at the hotel to attend a wedding. Since the wedding was in the afternoon, we asked for a late check out so we could get ready closer to the time […] it started. The desk clerk that checked us in on Friday cheerfully accomodated our request. But on Saturday, a different clerk at the desk through a fit and threatened to charge us for an additional day because we wanted 3 more hours. All we needed was a clean, comfortable room, and that is exactly what we got. We used the free Wi-fi, there were electrical outlets within easy reach to plug in all our chargers, and the complementary continental breakfast was pretty good.

Hotel is about 5 miles from Virgina Tech, nice and quiet area. Ok breakfast. Clean hotel.

The people were very nice and professional. The hotel itself was very clean, however, the quality of it's construction is cheap. You can hear conversations in the hallways and the flushing of toilets. I found the continental breakfast to be very satisfying. Overall it is a good value for the money.

The Comfort Inn in Blacksburg, VA, is a nice place to stay at a reasonable price -- and breakfast is included. Clean and comfortable and nicely outfitted. My only complaint was the shower head in the bathroom. It was turned on high -- a sharp stinging stream -- and I couldn't change it. I'm 5'1" but even that was to short to reach it and change the […] setting. Front door needs to have a fouryer built in as the front automatic door opens diectly to the outside. The on demand TV was not at all convent.

The price was right but the hotel appears as if everything is jammed together. I guess its because I am use to staying at the Marriott where it is very spacious and the decor is magnificent.
