First time visit to Atlanta Buckhead. Great hotel and staff, but I had several problems with my bill. I booked a room with free parking and breakfast. However, my room key was not activated for the parking garage and I was charged. Also, the internet did not work when I arrived. The IT person was send to the room who gave me the number to call the provider. […] Then I as charged for the call ! But I must say that the charges were address immediately at check out. We had a wonderful time. Booked at the last minute and arrived late in the day. The staff was AMAZING. Customer service at it's best. We were accomodated at every turn. The pool was large and the locker rooms and fitness areas were first rate. The connection to Lenox Square mall make it a perfect location for a girl's night or a weekend with the kids. […] Hotel was withing walking distance to great restaurants and nightlife. If I had to have a complaint it would be about our room. It was a little dated, did not have a mini bar and the beds could've been a little more comfortable. The door to our room was at the end of a hall in a little cubicle with door to another room . Our door had a very large crack around it when it was closed allowing a lot light & all the sounds from outside to come in . About 1 am a couple came into this room next ours ,talking very loud ,perhaps had bbe drinking and proceeded to make love very loudly […] ,they were so loud we could hear all the actions of thier love making & noises. It so loud that we had to knock on their door for them to tone it down . Needless to say with all this noise & the light coming in the room l did not go to sleep until 4:30 am. We stayed at the JW Marriott the weekend of the ACC tournament. We normally stay downtown, but chose this location because we were not going to the games and wanted to avoid the area. The hotel was great. The staff was friendly and helpful, bellmen and valets were quick and polite. We stayed with our two children and the room was large and comfortable. […] The indoor pool was large and clean. The workout facility is large and open 24 hours. The equipment (bikes, elipticals, etc) was a little loud from heavy use, but was in good working order. The gym had a lot of equipment, was cool and clean, and there were tv sets at each machine. The hotel is convenient for those wanting to shop at Lenox Square. The area has heavy traffic, but it's Atlanta, so I'm not sure there is an area that doesn't. Read more

Had a perfect time for my daughters 13th birthday weekend. We never moved our car for the entire weekend. The shuttle service was great ! We walked over to Lenox and had the shuttle take us to dinner and Phipp's plaza. Staff was wonderful. Beds were so comfy ! Love the new renovations ! Perfect mother/daughter weekend !

I was so impressed with the service we got from everyone there. They took the time to explain answers to every question we had and made sure we got anything we needed. I was a little suprised how many fees there were for everything, next time I'll know. I LOVED that the hotel was connected to the Lenox mall, it has it's own entrance-you don't even have […] to go outside! That was one of my favorite parts. The room was very nice but small. The bathroom in our particular room was nothing special. The breakfast bar wasn't great for the price but it's very convienient. All in all we had a really great time and would consider going back. This is great hotel!!! The location is connected to the Lenox Mall. There is a Marta Station just a short walk from the hotel. Rooms are great!!! Great restaurants in walking didtance. Concierge very helpful.

My trip to Atlanta was for the AmericasMart and found this hotel extremely comfortable for a business trip. Very clean, food service downstairs with a nice bar and cafe. The mall next door was to die for! .... But on the downside this was very far from the mart and since Atlanta traffic is so bad I had to take MARTA to the mart. Felix the driver was absolutely the best. He epitomizes customer service as it should be. He was by far the best ambassador your hotel could have. I didn't care for the air quality in the rooms, it was muggy when we arrived. An engineer came by and explained that the ventilation system senses when the room is empty and shuts down. The rooms lacked drawer space for a 4 day stay. We had to leave our suitcases open and out during our stay which make the room cluttered and unsightly. I have stayed in several JW's and this was the most disappointing of them all. The credenza would have been able to handle some of the problem but there were not even pull out shelves. the coffee machine […] would have had to be taken out and put SOMEWHERE but there was no space because the room was cluttered because the suitcases were out and there were no drawers to store them in. Nice, but check ahead to see if renovations are in progress. I treated myself to the hotel because I was in town to deal with a stressful family situation. Two of the main reasons I chose the Buckhead J.W. Marriott was the indoor pool and the whirlpool. Guess what was undergoing renovation? Would have been nice to have known that fact before I booked […] the room. Also, I could hear jackhammering/construction within the hotel from my room at 8:45am on two of the three days I stayed at the hotel. I was already up but still in bed reading. Despite some reviews which seemed to pan the condition of the hotel, my wife and I found our room to be very nicely furnished and clean, with a large flatscreen and HD carrying lots of college football games, including the Dawgs; the bathroom was first rate with granite counter top and matching floor. If you're shopping at Lenox you can't beat the location, […] which is also across the street from the Marta, and in walking distance of a several good restaurants. The Lenox Grille where we ate breakfast is a bit strange, with the buffet in an adjoining room and the dining area in a fairly small windowless room; and the don't carry Coke in the bar, just Pepsi (sorry, Jack and Pepsi just doesn't cut it.) Also, the bellman will take you anywhere within a 2-mile radius of the hotel, at no charge, so I didn't drive my car the entire weekend I was there! The hotel staff for the most part was very friendly (we did have someone drop off room service who was not warm or friendly). When we got to the hotel we were not able to check-in yet so they offered us the choice of getting breakfast (either sit down or to-go). The "sit-down" food available was a buffet with many options, but it was overpriced. There […] wasn't a menu so they charged you what they wanted. The hotel lobby was under construction so you didn't get the feel of staying at a JW Marriott hotel. You walked into an area with elevators & went to the second floor for check-in at a make-shift reception area. When entering/leaving the hotel you would go through a side door that houses elevators, you never go through a lobby or see any hotel staff . It would have been nice to have more of an upscale hotel feel, then more of a condo feel. There were no actual restaurants or bars. The late night room service menu does not offer much. There were four choices but none of them were snacks. They had either two sandwiches or two salads and when we ordered they only had salads left. Sometimes late at night when you haven't eaten for awhile you want a burger with fries or some chips/crackers and dip. They also don't serve any alcohol around midnight, despite the huge wine list available in the room service menu. The view from our room was great, with two huge windows that looked out onto Atlanta. The lady at the reservation desk was extremely rude since they did not have 2 beds for the 3 of us and stated no rollaways either. Overall experience good. Unruly guest next door made one night a nightmare, but not hotel's fault. Problem taken care of once security got involved. Construction was a little annoying. Loud tapping/nailing above room made sleeping in late impossible. Concierge was not very helpful. Did not even look up from what he was doing to acknowledge me.
