Though in a great location, with a nice common area renovation, and a great view from the 26th floor room the upper floors suffer from old hotel syndrome. You can hear everything (SF late night...3 AM conversations in the halls), plastic shower curtains, tub faucets that don't convert all the water to the shower....not quite the boutique experience […] I thought it would be. We loved our short trip at Park 55. The service from the minute we arrived was top notch....friendly, efficient, professional. I called ahead for rooms next to each other and that was delivered. The view from each room was wonderful. We had great happy hour cocktails before heading out to dinner. There are lots of options nearby. We ate at Scala's and […] loved it. Be sure to book a reservation. The next day we kept our bags in the bell stand storage while we walked all over the city. Parking is a bit steep, but you get to keep it in the garage for 24 hours. Excellent! As an added bonus the Thai Restaurant in the hotel was exceptional. We got in very late and went to Kin Khao in the hotel to eat. One thing for sure, it is close to everything. I was there for the conference. And the short walk was enjoyable and nice. The cons, no room service is a little hard for business travelers. The shower (at least in my room) is like dripping at max setting. Luckily, the weather was warm. I would complain if it is during the winter time. The area is very […] noisy. "Not The Same"
I have always loved staying at the Parc55 while in town. Great rooms, beautiful views, you name it, bit this last stay just made me sad. A once glorious and cool place to stay has fallen on hard times. The feel of the rooms are now dated. The carpets and curtains look their age, and the once splendid bathrooms now have cheap shampoos and conditioners, […] plus bathroom fixtures that don't work. Don't expect to find a mini bar or even a fridge in your room. What was once standard is gone. No cool drinks or leftovers allowed. Speaking of food...all room service stopped at parc on August 1 2014. No more late night treats or breakfast. You have to traipse down to he lobby and eat in the uncomfortable restaurant off the lobby if you want food. The staff was good enough to print up a cheap flyer of places that deliver, but 35 dollar minimum is too much. I'll end this review by stating I called the consierge three times during my stay and the phone was Neve answered once. Parc55 is an apathetic, sad shell of what it once was. "Needs a customer service course - I wont be back"
Started out great - booked THREE rooms for my adult family to stay. They just stopped room service in August. BAD IDEA! Front desk had no clue how to resolve an issue, management needs to better train their staff to accommodate guests paying this kind of money in the area they are in!!!! We called Gwendolyn at the front desk to ask where we could find […] a vending machine in the hotel or a way to get a bottle of water to our room. We were told that service is only for guests on HIGHER floors but we could walk (at 11 pm) about a block to the local CVS and buy all the beer, wine and snacks we needed. We didn't ask for beer/wine/snacks. We asked for water!!!! My husband and son both have C-Pap machines that require water and we forgot to purchase water that day; so we ended up using tap water. With a restaurant in-house, I find it hard to believe that they can't at least provide water for their guests at a charge!!!! I called to speak to a manager after we checked out and was told that they have requested upper management to allow them these services but are still unable to accommodate these requests. Sorry.... We stayed here when we missed our sf flight due to Paul McCartney concert traffic. We had booked it through hotels.com because it's so convenient, but my friend was logged in on my ipad where my wife's account was the default, so the booking was on my credit card with my name in hotels.com but my wife's name on the room. I could prove all of this at […] 10 pm when I was checking in without having eaten dinner yet. The woman at the counter was pretty rude and matter of fact. She said they needed her there. I had my wife jump on the phone and could have given them a texted copy of her drivers license but that wasn't budging the woman. I asked for her manager and she went and asked him and came back to tell me he said no. I asked for him to come out and talk to me and he did. Omar, the manager, listened to my story without any emotion in his eyes. He then said no. I asked him to think about how he would feel in the same situation and he said, "it's protocol." He explained that I should not have booked through a third party and if I booked through them they would have let me. The story ends well. The Parc 55 is a very nice, modern hotel close to shopping, restaurants, and transportation. We've stared there twice. The rooms are clean but lack extras such as a mini refrigerator or a mini bar. "Terrible hotel, terrible service"
Will never stay at this hotel again. This was my first time staying here, I arrived at 10:45pm and was told my room was not ready and that it wouldn't be ready for 45 more mins. I asked my options and it was either wait minimum 45 mins or move to another 3 star random hotel in the wharf I had never heard of and that looked 10 steps below the pard 55 […] hotel. I opted to wait and sat on bench right in front of check in desk. I asked the guy if I needed to keep checking in and he said no he would let me know as soon as it was ready. 40 mins later 2 guys walked in with bags and were given keys to 2 separate rooms. I walked up to ask if mine was ready the guy said whats your last name? Asked for my ID again as if he hadn't checked it the first time then said yes its ready. I went to my room which smelled like strong bleach throughout the room and the window opened to a mini roof that had constructions and trash cans on it right in front of my window. I got 5 hours of sleep before checking out the next morning. The tub did not drain and would back up so I could only take a 4 minute shower. Terrible hotel and service. Do not recommend ever.
