We got what I expected from the Radisson. The hotel was a good price and was located in the airport hotel block, about 15 minutes from downtown Nashville. We chose this hotel because of past reviews/scores, however we were less than impressed. For some unknown reason we were given a handicap room and the only view we had was a roof with airconditioning units on it....that was all we could see out the window. "No where near my favorite hotel"
The hotel does seem to have had some updates in the lobby and 1st floor common areas but our room certainly was not recently updated. The HVAC would not go any lower than 73 degrees our first night but they did make repairs after our 2nd complaint the following day. The HVAC vent rattled non-stop. Our room was near the elevator so we also had to hear […] it zipping up and down day and night. I am not a fan of the sleep number beds - seems like sleeping on a blow up matress on a camping trip. The restroom seemed to be clean but due to how dated it was there was obvious wear. I would not stay here again. "Best hotel of all the chains"
My recent stay at the Nashville Radisson at the Airport was surprising in that it was superior to the many hotel chains I often stay in. The room was absolutely spotless in all areas. (I recently had stayed at other brand hotels where I found body hair all over the bathroom floors, and another one where body hair had collected behind the mattresses.) Very nice, but hard to find parking, day or night. It seems as if a side business of long term parking for travelers out of the local air port must be a side business. Room was clean with no bad smells. No refrigerator in room. Select comfort bed was not comfortable no matter what the settings. Widow easy to access but slow. Hallway was carpeted which kept the outside noise down. Staff was OK except for a rude housekeeper who refused to clean my room in the afternoon. I've stayed at this Radisson a number of times. Always a good view, comfortable sleep number beds, quality rooms, etc. and the best breakfast buffet I've found anywhere. Certainly the best breakfast I've found in Nashville. UNFORTUNATELY as I write this review I just realized on this visit the unusually grumpy desk clerk on check-in substituted a cheaper […] room than specified in the reservation. In fact this was the highest rate i've ever paid at this hotel. Reservations happen. We were a bit early so there ought to have been no room shortage. We noticed the room a bit smaller than previous times and laid out differently but kind of ignored it. Only now writing the requested review do I realize there were NO sleep number bed controls. They weren't sleep number beds. Since most hotels I stay in don't have it, it didn't register. Looking at the reservation the same as my priors also missing iron and board plus there was no cordless phone as listed. No big deal, just an indication of different level room. No safe as priors. Or slippers. The coffeemaker layout took up some of the bathroom whereas previous rooms had either a console or bar sink with all that. It was wierd to have ice and glasses stuffed under the TV when priors were by coffeemaker. I really like the place and will be back - but a lot more careful as to the room I am given.
