"I like the room. The staff was very friendly"
I like the location of the hotel since it is close to the beach and everywhere else.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very friendly and helpful people. Perfect location right on Waikiki beach. Next time I would get an ocean view room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice and clean"
Awesome!!! The room was excellent and right across from the beach. Would highly recommend to everyone.Genuine Expedia guest review

The hotel is easy to miss...not easy to see from the street. The cab driver dropped me off at the wrong one.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to beach, clean and cheap."
If that is what you are looking for, then this place is for you. Friendly staff too. However, if you want a big comfy room will all the bells and whistles - don't stay here.Genuine Expedia guest review
We love the location. Right across beach, literally! Parking is away from the hotel though. Need to walk a little to get to hotel am d haul all your stuff there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Waikiki Beachside Hotel really needs help..."
This Waikiki Beachside Hotel needs a total up date. From front entrance upto front desk to elevator. Needs better appearances and welcoming. Rooms need to be less Victoria items and more luggage space and inside coffee table. Bed and pillows need more confort. To little of a room, even Ala Moana Hotel rooms are better, but no front beach scenery.Genuine Expedia guest review
god location smallish room great decorGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what the pictures or words describe."
The hotel was old, decrepit, out dated, bed was uncomfortable....not as described.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was small and had a small refrigerator. I missed a micro wave, coffee pot and ironing board. The pillows and mattress were firm, not that comfortable. But the people were great and the room was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Beach"
Hotel was very clean. Staff was great. Rooms are small but view is awesome. If your looking for a resort like room, this is not the place but if your looking for an economical room close to the beach and shopping, this place works great. Book the deluxe ocean view for the best rooms.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not new but still old Hawaiian charm. Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Clean rooms - small but great for the price and ideally located. Just right across the street from Waikiki Beach. I hope to go back next year.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Needs some TLC"
The hotel is in an amazing spot. BUT this place needs some tlc. They just seem to keep it running at bare minimum. Parking is a joke its $22 bucks a day at another location then the valet expects a tip... Only one small elevator for 12 floors can be a hassle with people and staff. My advice to the staff is put some love into this place and be proud […] of it stop letting things go. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Close to the beach is the only desirable trait."
Outdated rooms, the room had a 19" Zenith TV with knobs, you had to get up and turn the chanels. The room stated it was an inner hotel room, the view consisted of a solid wall off the balcony. The room smelled from the humidity, the floors were sticky and wet, with the air conditioning running the sheets were damp. Best front desk staff ever !!! The decor was a bit outdated but everything else was perfect, we walked to the bars, restaurants, ect. Will stay here on my next visit!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right across from Waikiki Beach."
Room was very clean but very small. Great for a single person. For two travel light. The view & location was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
The rooms are OK, for me just to take a shower and go to sleep. The ubication of the hotel is EXCELENT, next to the beach, a few blocks from the shops and restaurants. I don´t have any complains for the hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
"Just like family and perfect location"
This hotel was small and staff were concerned with our stay at all times. I could not say the same for any other hotel. I felt like family at the Aston Waikiki Beachside Hotel. The room was comfy and cozy. Location is perfect if you want shopping, beach access, or transportation. I will return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean but not functional"
Well it was convenient, however there were some maintenance issues with the showers and our 'partial ocean view' that we payed for was just a white concrete wall with our balcony facing the totally opposite direction of the ocean. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and very kind, I just wouldn't go back here due to the price and quality of the […] rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to everything!"
I would definitely stay here again. Leticia at front desk is awesome! Location is perfect-right across from the beach, close to International Market & Duke's.Room was large, comfortable bed, large bath with great shower and lots of outlets in the room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to beach. Pretty ocean view."
The room has a nice view of the ocean. It's small, but we barely spent any time in the room so it wasn't an issue.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good with the bad"
The location was perfectly in the middle of Waikiki so walking anywhere was convenient. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had an ocean view room with a nice view. However, the room was not up to par. The bathroom sink plug was broken, the shower was covered in soap scum, the air conditioner couldn't keep the room cool enough and […] you stuck to the balcony chairs. I have stayed in a Motel 6 that was cleaner. The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was worn out and the pillows felt like a flat rock. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Who uses their hotel room in Hawaii anyways? :)"
This quaint hotel is hard to spot your first time here. The main entrance is right on the main Waikiki strip with a gorgeous view of the beach. That is a fantastic sight to start every day! Unless you have one of the few ocean facing rooms, you really don't get a window, much less a view, so if that's important to you, make sure to plan accordingly. […] The 1 bedroom room is just that. A bed and a bathroom. It was cozy with a table and plenty of space for storage, but the bed was stiff. The loby is plain with no seating area and nothing much to offer. I only saw the front desk on my way to the elevator which is a tight squeeze. This hotel offers parking through the sister hotel next door for $22 per day, but there are no other included ammenities. The staff was super sweet and very helpful with any questions we had throughout our stay. If you meet Lave, then you will truly be blessed, for he really went above and beyond to accomodate us! This will not be a luxury stay, but I know for sure that I will be staying here again in the future! I would not say this is a place for large groups (only because I only saw our room) but for me and my husband, it was good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Ideal Location, Close to everything"
You pretty much get what you pay for. The room and hotel is out dated but it didn't really matter to us, as we just needed it to sleep, rest, and shower. The hotel is close to everything. ABC store on each corner and Waikiki Beach was right across the street. The rooms were tiny, but clean. The TV was pretty old, but that didn't matter, as we hardly […] watched TV. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was nice. They had a small fridge for waters and juice, which was convenient, they didn't have a microwave but that was ok. The main reason why I booked a room at this hotel was its location, its price, and because I wanted a balcony overlooking the beach. Dont expect too much with this hotel, like I said, you get what you pay for. So as long as you dont pay attention to detail and you just need a room to shower and sleep, this is the place. The elevator is small and took a little longer than usual, but that was ok. The staff was really nice and helpful. They also have beach towels at the front desk if you need it and you had to ask for ice at the front desk as well. We stayed here for 6 nights and 7 days and I would rate the hotel a 7 out of 10. I would def. stay here again. It is a little hard to find as there are also similar hotels near by with similar names, but as long as you get the correct address and map it, youll be fine. There is also a parking fee of $22/day which is valet only. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
You couldn't ask for a better location-right across the street from Waikiki! Room was small, the furnishings were dated, the tv was old, no counter space, but it all worked for us. King sized bed very comfortable and both the room and the bathroom were clean. They were cleaned daily, with fresh towels and sheets. Booked this online on hotels.com for […] $104 a night. This hotel was horrible. Dirty sheets, ripped curtain and lamp shades, dirty wash cloth left in the shower, blod stains on the bed. I stayed one night and gave up my second night with no refund to stay at anouther hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Although we were close to the beach and had an ocean view, we couldn't use the balcony because there was a wall directly in front of our chairs. I had to bring the patio table inside just to have a place to put my luggage. The room was extremely small. The elevator was disgusting, small and old as was the entire building.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Cheap and clean"
Parking is a joke. They said it would be $22 a night, when I asked if they have a Kama'aina rate (resident's rate) they said no, everyone pays $22; we parked elsewhere. There isn't much of a drive way to pull into, more of a loading zone on the side of the busiest road in Waikiki. Check in went smoothly...until I was informed that they "upgraded" my […] room for me because I'm Kama'aina, giving me an ocean view room instead of the standard room I requested. Although I appreciated the thought, our new room did not have a balcony as we requested when booking the standard room that comes with a balcony. I told them I chose the standard room because I wanted a balcony. They were able to move my boyfriend and I into a room with a balcony, but unfortunately the room only had two twin beds. They satisfied my request to push the beds together to make a king. I requested a cheaper rate for parking for my troubles when checking in and having to move room to room, they offered to meet me half way for $12 overnight, but we already paid $10 overnight at a lot around the block. Other then the room confusion and unreasonable parking rate, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"View made up for the rest!"
Small hotel, however, awesome view! A/C didn't work right but keep the blinds closed while you're gone and it'll feel just fine when returning. Other than that we had a deluxe ocean view and that was incredible. Spacious balcony! Small beds, we had a two bed room, and they were smaller than expected but that in no way bothered me, just putting that […] out there for those looking for the contrary. Great hotel! I wont be ever going to Hawaii again, not a bad place, I just have more places to go see, however, if ever I do return, this is the hotel I am staying at! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is somewhat dated with wear in our room. The bed was adequate, the room small, the sink fixture was leaking, but overall was clean. The only window was next to the door with our interior room. The biggest advantage was the location on Kalakaua, across the street from Kuhio Beach. It is on the south end of Waikiki and close to the zoo and Kapiolani […] Park; however, it is convenient to the rest of Waikiki. We attended the Oahu Slack Key Festival at the park. We took advantage of the free shuttle to Blaisdell Center for the Made In Hawaii Event. We did not spend much time in our hotel room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"free hula show at park across street at beach"
The non-deluxe ocean front room was perfectly in our budget. The non-deluxe room view of the ocean is partially blocked by a beautiful tree at the park across the street where there are free shows. "Poor service at Aston Waikiki Beach & Beachside"
We booked at the Aston Waikiki Beachside and were told when we arrived that it was full. We wasted time there waiting for a taxi to the Aston Waikiki Beach. The taxi driver was not reimbursed to take us to the Waikiki Beach but was told that he would be. We asked for a quiet room and were put next to a club room where receptions were held. It was a […] poor experience at the Aston. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is definitely for the budget minded, or for those like me, who just needed an affordable place to stay before leaving for another island. Finding the hotel is difficult. One would think that a hotel facing Waikiki would be quite obvious. Not so. This is a narrow hotel, so narrow at the front that you can easily miss it driving in front of […] it. I have seen alleys wider than this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hard to Find"
We drove around this blocks for an hour and a half. I am not kidding!1st - it's NO NUMBERS on buildings.Later - we saw the number but it was "covered" by booth which selling activity tours. Plus, they have a few (maybe 4-5) ASTON Waikiki hotels and it's confusing.Be sure - you have your Building number!and worst part - we even cannot park by the entrance […] to find out if this is correct building. And for parking car for this hotel you have to use different street, another hotel (they are sharing car parking w/other hotel). That why it took for us more then an hour to find/park/check in...after that - all good. especially after Mai Tai!Aloha! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Location, location...and that's about it."
Hotel is old and rooms are VERY small. The only good thing about it was the location -- across the street from the beach. I will not be staying here again. Way too pricey for what you get.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Walk out the front door onto the Beach!!!"
Location, Location, Location!! This place is right on Waikiki Beach! It's a smaller hotel & a bit out dated (TV was one of those old Square ones) but other then that- it was clean- had friendly service. Rates were reasonable for being on the beach. Sadly, you have to pay for WiFi if you want it which is weird. Free beach towel usage. No Spa or Pool...but […] you may not notice or care because the beach is seriously -right there! Had a little trouble finding the place because there is also a hotel called the "Aston Wakiki Beach Hotel" about 2 block down the road. :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small, but that's OK."
This hotel has excellent staff and an even better location. Right along the main Waikiki strip with a good view of the ocean (if you pay a little more for it), it is one of the smaller hotels you'll find in Waikiki. This is good because there is only one small elevator and the rooms aren't very large, but why would you spend too much time in your room […] anyway? The counter space in the bathroom is also small. The lanai's on the front of the hotel are excellent and allow for great people watching opportunities. We also utilized their friendly hotel concierge, Vincent, to help us book our activities around the island. We found the front desk staff and cleaning staff to be very friendly and to embody the spirit of Aloha. If you are looking for a large room with a ton of amenities, go somewhere else. If you want a great stay at a great price with the simple essentials, a great location, great staff, and a great view, this might be the hotel for you. Our stay was for a couple. We did not have our kids with us, so we are not sure about the size of the rooms should you have more than 2 people. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Location only and bed"
Booked standard room which turned out to be windowless and has open slats on door allowing breeze but also noise and bright light from street, had to put extra towel to cover. Staff upgraded room but building and facilities old from 60s, no pool or amenities, definitively not worth $150 or $100 a nightGenuine Expedia guest review

"Ideal location, a bit expensive for the facility."
The hotel is located across the street from the beach which is fantastic. The hotel tho is not the most comfortable that I've stayed at. Overall the room needs to be modernized, but since the location is so good I can over look the […] actual room. June 2013. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
