The hotel was nice to stay at. Was very disappointed with how poor the room service was. They had outdated menus in the rooms. We found out only because we asked for a few items and they couldn't serve it. They don't know what time items can be served even though it states on the menu. They were supposed to call back to confirm and didn't. They give you water but it's heavily chlorinated. How can anybody drink that kind of water? It was rough taking a shower in that water every night but to drink it was to much. Room Service was the worst. Everything else was nice.

Before we decided to stay here we read the reviews. Some left us feeling iffy so we choose to stay based on our own comfort. The desk service representive was rude while we where checking in. We had questions about the hotel and he was sarcastic and quick with short answers. Not a very warm welcome!! Secondly, we stayed in the New York Tower (Park Avenue) and soon as we entered the hotel floor you can see the filth on the floor, as if it hadn't been vacume in months. The room down the hallway had its foodtray left outside the room and it wasn't collected until the next day...and you wonder why there might be a possible infestation. Last but not least, our room...smh! Once we entered our room the bathroom had facial hair behind the sink faucet. The inside sink wasn't wiped cleaned and someone had the audacity to write "CIAO" on the bathroom mirror which you could only see once the mirror was foggy. After writing this review, it's discritonary. I would not stay here again but the casino, bars/restaurants downstairs was a nice touch but that's all it had to offer. Lay your head in a nice, clean, worry free hotel; not this one. ENJOY!!

It was a bad experience from the beginning... We rented a spa suite due to it being our honeymoon weekend and made the reservations months in advance!! We get there and we were told it was a $300 deposit/holding fee for incidentals!! Not once in my reservation was I ever told this so I didn't plan it in our budget. Isn't the reason they have your cc on file for this particular reason??!!! It ruined our whole weekend as we planned on spending most of our time in the suite since we're not big on gambling. They ended up downgrading our room because I refused to pay the fee and was told the $84 resort would be waived!! The room we got was no where near the price I paid for the suite I had reserved and yet got no refund for their mistake. Room had wallpaper peeling and and needed serious updating!! The day we checked out the TV cable was cut out by 8am but checkout is at 11am.

Good value for hotel and location. This a cheaper hotel while still providing you the prime location of the strip and very comfortable rooms and beds. Service was not great, they charged us $25 for fridge rental per night. Beware of hidden costs.

We stayed two nights when we came to Vegas to get married. Upon check in, we were surprised with a $100 per night deposit (this was never mentioned when booking and our room had been paid in full). The room was clean but lacked amenities such as a coffee maker and fridge. Uncomfortable pillows. The casino and things to do in the hotel were nice, but for the price we have stayed other places on the strip that have had better in room amenities and no surprise deposits

Great view from park place! Overlooking the strip. Room located near elevator and the noise was not the issue at all, friendly and fast check in and out. If you stay get the hotels "M life card" which is a rewards card that at the end of your stay can be redeemed to your hotel fees. Loved my stay, will go again!

The room was clean and the service was great, the concierge personnel was extremely helpful overall. As for the room, being a man 6'3 with broad shoulders I couldn't face the shower and not have each shoulder touching a wall or the sliding door. The shower head was also below eye level so to wash my hair I had to limbo a little which I could do without. Having said all that, turning sideways to shower isn't the end of the world but I wish more hotels would stop using the 1950's building codes/template for building showers. The wifi never really worked at the hotel which was disappointing when my girlfriend and I had to take care of work related e-mails a few minutes each day. The room was as expected with a comfortable bed, the restaurants we utilized in the hotel were good to great and the casino wasn't filled with a cloud of smoke even when it was crowded. All positives coming from two people who don't enjoy being around smoke. The location on the strip was good and we would stay there again but I have one more small request - get some Jack Daniels Honey at your bars please.

I had a great stay. I've stayed here before and it has everything you need st a reasonable rate. The restaurants are very good as well. The casino is great too. I have stayed at numerous hotels in Vegas and this is one of my favorites. It is convenient to walk across the bridge to the MGM Grand too. Very good value for the money.

The whole hotel complex was surprisingly good. I liked the rate was good and the hotel overall was in very good condition, had bars and restaurants and gym. Health club is lacking a bit to be considered a nice health club. There are some others that are massively good. Same with pools, there is only one so there is a mix of people and other hotels have the family and then adults only.

Stay at NYNY was ok overall. The hotel is a bit loud meaning the noise from the strip is easily heard in your room. Also, we always heard some types of motors running within the walls, i.e. elevators, roller coaster, etc. We found what we believe to be a bed bug on one of our beds one morning and the hotel expeditiously got us into another room (a suite). The next day they left a voicemail stating they had the room tested for bed bugs and the test was negative, however, we were never told what kind of bug it was if it wasn't a bed bug. The Risk Mgmt Rep will also not answer her cell phone when I call and I've called several times. Nonetheless, our stay was ok at NYNY and the service was friendly (except for one of the waitresses getting drinks for gamblers in the slot area - very slow and rude). This is the fourth time we've stayed in Vegas and we more than likely won't stay at NYNY again.

You pay a resort fee and it they close the pool at 6:00 pm so if you check in late you don't get to use it so the resort fee is for nothing. If you get a cheep deal you will probably have a room by the roller coaster and then listen to it all night long

THE CHECK IN PROCESS WAS QUICK AND EASY EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A LONG LINE. THE PROCESS WAS RELATIVELY EFFICIENT. WE WERE FAVORED WITH AN UPGRADE BECAUSE ONE WAS AVAILABLE. THE FRONT DESK CLERK OFFERED AND WE ACCEPTED. THE HOTEL AND CASINO MESH WELL. YOU MAY GAMBLE AT THE MACHINES AND TABLES OR JUST ENJOY THE FAUX INDOOR REPLICA OF OLD NEW YORK. THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT THE LOCAL BUSINESSES RENT THEIR INDIVIDUAL SPACE FROM THE HOTEL. ONE OF THEM, AND IRISH PUB, WHOSE NAME I HAVE FORGOTTEN ON PURPOSE, LOCATED ON THE MAIN FLOOR NEXT TO THE FRONT OF THE BLDG HAD A SERVER STRAIGHT OUT OF BROOKLYN: LOUSY ATTITUDE, AFFECTATIOUS, AND RUDE. NOT THE LEAST HELPFUL WHEN THE FAMILY WAS LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO BE SEATED. IT WAS QUITE UNBELIEVABLE. THE OTHER IRISH PUB WITH DUELING PIANOS WILL HESITANTLY TAKE YOUR ORDER IF YOU DO NOT PAY THE COVER CHARGE AND CHOOSE TO DRINK AT THE ISLE BAR ON THE PERIPHERY. THE OTHER BUSINESSES WERE RUN WELL AND THE REST OF THE STAY WAS DELIGHTFUL.

This was the final leg of a long spring break trip. Let me say the bad first. The $25.00 + tax resort fee ($28.00) per night is ridiculous. It guarantees wi-fi and use of the pool. Other than that, the hotel is awesome. Service is great, rooms are clean, and I must say valet was courteous. usually valets are in tip-demand, but the valet here was not the such. Great hotel if you have to bring the kids. Great access to hotels surrounding, food choices and shopping. The steakhouse was the epitome of a true NY steakhouse. Kids enjoyed the arcade and roller coaster. Pizza and Hot Dog restaurants were cool. If there was one piece of advice I would give, make sure you have the finances to indulge your desires because it is quite expensive.

You get what you pay for on the strip. Go cheap and you get sketchy. Mid-priced casinos like New York New York are decent bets so pick where you want to be and see which casino has the best price because you can walk or tram anywhere quickly and easily.

We spent 4 nights in new york new york hotel. The lobby is shabby and in dire need of a Carpet cleaning service. The corridors to the rooms were not vacuumed. The room was not serviced and cleaned or fresh towels left on the 2nd day. There is no complimentary water or beverages in the rooms.

Room was clean and up to date. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Showed up at hotel 4 hours before check in and they gave me a room immediately. Lots of restaurants to choose from and a game room for the kids.

I was very disappointed to find that there was no refrigerator, microwave or coffee pot in the room. These are usually standard features.

For a 4 star hotel, I felt like it was a two or three star. The room was clean, room service was affordable and had a good location on the strip. For a four star hotel, I was expecting more of a luxury feel. The first room they gave me smelled like old moldy carpet and the phone didn't work. I demanded they change my room and they did. The second room was better but still, not what I was expecting. I was not wowed by appearance of the room. I could have stayed at the Tropicana for the same feel and half the price.

My husband surprised me with a getaway over due. New York, New York was the best! Only our second time to Vegas, about 30 years ago. Our four kids are grown and now is our time again! We will be back and will be staying here, the staff was so nice, room very clean, restaurant breakfast was the best omelet I had ever had.

Celebrating daughter's 22nd birthday on the Strip. When they found out it was her birthday, they upgraded our room to one with an incredible view. Definitely made her birthday more memorable.

We were there for St. Patrick's Day. The hotel staff were great and check in was a breeze. The room was spacious. We would stay there again. Of course, it's centrally located on the Strip with easy access to the monorail and the bus.

Our stay was not great. Upon arrival, we had a reservation for a King size bed and ended up getting two double beds instead. The room was very dusty and was not cleaned thoroughly. On Saturday (2/28) we could take a comfortable shower because the hotel did not have any hot water. I called the front desk. They assured me that the hot water would be back on in 2-hours, but by the of it the hot water did not return for 6 hours.

The check-in process was really frustrating. I was traveling with 7 other friends and we booked two rooms (both 2-queen bed rooms) via hotels.com. We were checking in late (at 5pm), so I called ahead to inform New York, New York about that. The women on the phone was rude, short and wanted nothing but to get off the phone with me. She also informed me that there was a hotel shuttle (which there was not). Once we got to the hotel (at 5pm), they told me that they didn't have 2 room with 2 queen beds in them. The woman (a different person than who I spoke with on the phone) at the front desk was rude and didn't feel the need to accommodate me - except if I paid an upgrade to a suite and then got a roll away bed for the other room. So not only did I pre-pay for these rooms, but I had to pay EXTRA for a suite (which we didn't need). Not sure if I'm willing to use hotels.com or stay at New York, New York again after that experience.

The floor in the toilet was not clean and the toilet was dirty when we went inside the room. We wanted to change a room but was denied due to the weekend crowd. Would never stay here again.
