About what I expected for the economy rates that we paid for the room. The rooms were clean and with the exception of a minor problem with the toilet tank leaking in the bathroom, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was next to non-existent which was a disappointment, since we have a large family and a better-stocked breakfast (even of the […] "Continental" variety) would have been appreciated. Be aware that the "access to high speed internet" consists of a single desktop computer in a small room off of the lobby and there is no wi-fi at this hotel. The bathtub was dirty. There was no light in the area where the toilet and tub and showere was located. Beds are extremely low to the floor.

Room was good, nice lay out and clean, but definately could use some maintainence (paint, carpets cleaned, plumbing check up) and outside area really needed a good cleaning and sweeping. But worst of all was returning to our room at 2:30pm to find it hadn't been cleaned yet....when we asked were told "we have lots of rooms to clean!" Since i was sick […] my husband said ok and took the dirty towels down to get new ones and told them not to come......but they soon showed up and threw the door open and marched past me to rip the covers from the bed and clean the room as I sat in the corner about to throw up. The maid never even spoke to me, but did ask my husband if he wanted her to vaccuum too! Also ran out of all breakfast bread by 8am and coffee gone by 9 when we told them it was gone we were told "we know!" Never got any more tho. Too bad as it was a great location for access to the hospitals there and the rooms weren't bad for the price, but don't think we will go there again. Read more

The room looked dirty especially the carpet. I didn't like the other guests. Felt like being in a ghetto. The staff were friendly and the room was relatively quiet. Nothing was particularly wrong but it just didn't have an atmosphere of being in a nice clearn safe neighborhood.

Not too bad however, exhaust fan in bathroom didn't work to expel moisture from shower, adding to a humid room, towels were very small and thin, took 2 to dry off, hot tub wasn't working, no clock radio for alarm, TV had snowy reception on most channels.

Location was good, just off of Hwy 59. Breakfast was the absolute basic (2 cereals, muffins, toast, juice and coffee) but the eating area, which was nice as was the lobby, was piping hot and just too uncomfortable to eat in. The floor in the room sunk in places, the beds were quite stiff, the tv was old and limited, and the a/c was weak and "cool", […] not COLD! Vanity area was spacious and seperate from the toilet and shower/bath. Has an adjoining door with the next room which makes me uneasy. Overall, it was clean and well equipped with fridge and microwave. Only interacted with the front desk, and he was very nice. It's cheap and if you on a per deim it will put some money in your pocket.. I was on the back end of the hotel so the Wifi never worked and a called the desk they said they would just restart the router you know restarting the router for one person kicked everyone off so that was horrible.

The hotel staff are nice. The hotel itself needs updating. Since it is right next to 59South don't plan on getting sleep. Also, as there were several nights when a group of young men congergated outside in the parking lot talking loudly and discussing their questionable activities.After dark, there was a guard who remained in the lobby and was texting […] not really guarding. This is another sad example of a nasty business model: the entrepeneur buys the concession for an otherwise good motel/hotel, runs it into the ground and then dumps it afer squeezing money out of it. There was clearly no maintenance. The elevator had been broken for several years. Furniture and appliances were in bad shape. The building was left to […] fall apart. Luckily, the building is new enough that you can manage to sleep here - it will be 2 or 3 years before it becomes a complete dump. They managed to find a way to add $10 to the advertised price. The carpets had various stains all over the room and the restroom seemed old and unkept. Also there were not many channels to pick from on the cable. The staff was very friendly and the housekeeping did a good job on cleaning the room every day.

My son and I traveled to Houston for a wedding and this place said it had all the amenities I was looking for in a hotel for my trip: crib (infant bed), pool, continental breakfast, and nearby where I needed to be in Houston. Sadly, the only good thing about this place is the location... The description of this hotel said it has cribs (infant beds) […] available. I have a 2 year old son and I don't trust him on a bed by himself. So when I checked in, I asked the woman at the front desk for a crib and she looked at me like I was from another planet... I can understand not all hotels having cribs for their guests, that's not the issue - but when your description says they're available and I get that response when I ask for it… hmmmm. So instead of a crib I guess I'll just settle for some extra blankets and pillows to prop my son in the bed so he won't fall out, right? Wrong - she again looked at me like I was crazy for asking for extra blankets and pillows... "We have extra towels" she said... HA! Strike one The pool was... to be polite, not well kept. I was hoping to swim with my son to pass the time before the wedding in the evening. The pool looked as though it hadn't been touched in a while and I was really disappointed we weren't able to enjoy this "amenity". Strike two My next gripe isn't all that bad; I mean they technically do offer a "free breakfast" by having coffee, 6 muffins, and 2 kinds of dry cereal available. But that's it… I have never seen a hotel’s breakfast with less… Strike three comes with the room. NO WHERE NEAR AS NICE AS THE PICTURES. Mattresses were stained and very uncomfortable. All furniture was dated and not in the best shape. I noticed that the dresser was pulled away from the wall roughly 2 or 3 inches. Not really sure why, maybe so they can spray for rodents and bugs daily w/out having to keep moving the furniture… Bathroom light took a minute to turn on (literally a minute). The room given was not cleaned properly (no towels in bathroom, and trash can not empty), so the person at front desk apologized and immediately assigned another room. The second room's bed was not fixed, bathroom was not cleaned, and there were 2 Starbucks cups by the bed. The person apologized again, checked out what was going on, and upgraded us […] to a suite. The situation was handled nicely, but I really can't trust a place that assigns two rooms, which both turn out to not be ready, and the staff is not aware of this. Also, other customers were weird, mainly young and loud people, so we didn't feel very safe. I woke up in the middle of the night to laughters and shouting. Breakfast didn't have hot water for tea, and was very weak -- even compared to other 2-star hotels.
