Charming and historic hotel in downtown Dallas. Rooms are decorated like beach houses. The temperature in the room stayed 75 degrees night and day; the fan blew constantly with the roar of a tornado, but no cool air resulted. By early morning, we were finally comfortable. I am sure they would have moved us if we had inquired about the problem, but that […] is such a hassle. Moreover, we reserved and registered as two adults; the coffee maker came with coffee for one. The ice and soda machines are located on every other floor; the third machine I tried finally would take my money. I did get to know the stairwells and experience some much-needed aerobic exercise. There are too many fine hotels in Dallas for me to ever consider returning to this one. The folks are nice; they just need to pay more attention to some of the staff who can really make a difference in a guest's stay. Read more

Fantastic staff. Very very small room. Needed maintenance in room pretty bad (toilet , air conditioner, paint touch-ups. Had coffee pot but no sugar or creamer.

This hotel was so nice and would highly recommend. Came for my daughters birthday and loved it. The staff was extremely pleasant, from the vallet to the restaurant staff to the front desk.

This hotel was absolutely great. The room was super clean and the beds and tons of extra feather pillows were super comfy. The decor was very fresh. And the $115 price for the large 2 queen standard room was comparable to other large name franchise hotels but this place was far superior in cleanliness and comfort. I used to live a couple blocks from this hotel and the location is excellent! It's right across from main street park which is always active. Several restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel itself need some maintenance, but its safe and clean with great service. I will be staying here again.

The photographs on the website make the hotel seem much more up to date and brighter than it actually is. I was suprised to see that it was lowly lighted as I was hoping for brightness and pop! Also, they could fix it up and clean it up a little more. However, it wasn't terrible and the service was good. I was visiting my boyfriend in Dallas for Memorial Day weekend and we decided to get a hotel room for the night while we toured downtown's restaurants and bars. When we checked in, my boyfriend requested a good view and as high up as possible. Well, we were on the 13th floor out of 14, but the view was of a brick wall literally arms length away. I didn't […] let that bother me seeing as how we were going out for the night and not there to enjoy Dallas' scenery. As far as the room goes, I loved that it had wood floors and was super clean. I had a hard time finding anywhere to park or access to Valet. There was very little indication that there was valet as I had arrived after dark (very expensive to park). My room was clean but my ice bucket was horrible. I liked the shower items provided, and the layout of the room was welcoming.

Location is dowtown where there is nothing to do on weekend. Fortunately hotel does offer free shuttle within 3 miles until 10pm which would take you to the fun spots. Decent place.......odd smell in lobby. Walls seemed paper thin and you could easily hear others in the halls / rooms. AC was difficult to control in the room. Good location as there are some great places to eat on Main. Rusty Taco for breakfast across the street a must. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy, valet was easy. I would definitely stay here again. A boutique hotel like this is more refreshing than your stuffy 5 star hotel.

The room itself was clean and the bed was quite comfortable, however the lobby and the hall ways smelled like a sewer plant. You could tell they were conscious of it as they had a suspicious amount of candles lit and air fresheners, it was still quite overwhelming though. Hopefully it was just a temporary problem though.

Enjoyed staying there. Relatively close to the play we saw that evening at Music Hall. Even has a Rusty Taco in walking distance. My 10 year old daughter loved the bright colors throughout the hotel. I would go back!!!

Last visit, the cleanliness of the room was lacking, including some interesting crud on the shower curtain. Much better this time, and they have very comfortable beds and linens. Be aware of the high garage parking charge, though!

small rooms...no dressers in our room. EXCELLENT service. If you are into movies in your room, this hotel does not offer that. Free WiFi that works great. Good food. Including breakfast in your options at booking is worth it.

It's been remodelled with bright, fun colors, explosively large wallpaper prints, a cute bar and restaurant, tastefully fun furniture and all of the normal upscale amenities. I was very impressed with the Hotel Indigo in downtown Dallas. It's comfortable, convenient and at least 4 star worthy. Also, if you're a megabus traveler it's about a 2 minute walk from the downtown transfer center and typically a lot cheaper than the Sheraton. This hotel is pretty good. The location is great, close to a lot of restaurants, a park, and very close to the Sixth Floor Museum. The room was very cute and the bed was comfy, but the walls were very thin. Also the TV wasn't the greatest, small amount of channels. The front desk staff was very friendly, but the housekeeping people weren't the nicest […] and were only available until 2pm. I'm not a light sleeper and I slept ok once I fell asleep. That's the challenge. The doors don't have insulation around them so there's a circle of light coming in all around the door from the very bright hallway lighting. In addition, either people were frequently talking on cell phones in the hall right outside my door, or the walls are very thin, […] or both. Also, I was on the third floor and there was some rather loud live music to be heard until rather late (for a business traveller). I enjoyed Hotel Indigo very much. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are fairly comfortable, although the walls are very thin and noise from adjoining rooms could be annoying. I was extremely pleased that the housekeeping staff actually left my hanging towels to be re-used. My biggest pet peave is when hotels put out cards indicating […] that if you would like to conserve resources and re-use your towels, then hang them up but then housekeeping swaps them out anyway. That alone would lead me back to Hotel Indigo. My only other criticism is that the restaurant is sadly understaffed but the food is fine as long as you are not in a rush. All in all, it's a great place to stay in Dallas for convenience, comfort, and price. Read more
