"Not given what was booked"
Disappointed that my gal pal and I had to sleep in a double bed when I had requested two beds. The charge was too high for not getting what I asked for.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Indigo - Quaint, Charming, Delightful"
My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Indigo. The staff was friendly, competent, and courteous. The hotel itself was immaculate and inviting. Everything seemed freshly painted - the lobby, bar and restaurant, and our room. The historic marker stated that this was the first Hilton hotel built for Conrad Hilton in the early 1900s, although you would […] think it was recently built judging only from the interior of the building. The Indigo is centrally located in downtown Dallas making it ideal for business meetings. The food was superb. I ate the marinated ribeye steak each night we were there! The food is freshly made for each order. I would definitely stay there again and would most certainly recommend the Indigo to my friends. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The room was a little small but clean.....we had 2 beds on opposite walls with 1 tv in the middle which made it difficult to watch tv.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It is a good hotel, different than others. It is really close to everything on main street. Walking distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historic Landmark: Hilton's First Hotel"
If you're looking for a fun hotel with a lot of personality, Hotel Indigo is for you. This was the very first hotel built by Conrad Hilton, later lost during the Great Depression. The building has a lot of charm and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Another benefit not readily advertised: the hotel offers free shuttle service within a 3-mile […] radius until 10pm. The hotel was clean and staff friendly. The room was a litle bit small, but okay for two people. Not bad for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was ok. Nothing too exciting and nothing horrible. Looks like it needs a little TLC/updating. Staff was very friendly although not always super efficient. We stayed there because of its proximity to a concert venue. Bars down in deep elum were fun and the shuttle service from the hotel was excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Boutique Feel Without the Boutique Price"
Surprisingly cute and fresh decor in every part of the hotel, especially my room. Very cozy, but not cramped. Hotel Indigo will be the first place I check whenever I visit downtown Dallas.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Inspect your room, don't expect fresh air"
Positive-nice room. Negative-filthy air filter, hadn't been changed in years, obviously. Smelly stale air in the entire building with attempt to mask it with a musky sort of fragrance. This nice old hotel has sealed windows and probably an air system, if any, that is inadequate to ventilate the building. The building was designed to be naturally ventilated […] with open windows--it was the first hotel built by Conrad Hilton around 1922. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A good stay!"
I hadn't stayed a Hotel Indigo before and wanted to try it out. This was a very nice hotel with friendly staff and a great casual restaurant. Weekend breakfast hours went until noon, which was fantastic for me. Location-wise, the hotel didn't seem to be near much, but I have not been to Dallas enough to know the layout.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Funky and hip; well located"
A nice boutique hotel with great bright colors and a funky, hip appeal. The location is close to downtown with easy access to the light rail system and the meetings i needed to attend. Free breakfast is quite generous and highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I'm a traveling consultant, so have stayed in many hotels in many cities and had heard great things about Hotel Indigos in other locations. This location did NOT live up to the standards. When I checked in, the hotel lobby smelled HORRIBLE. Kind of moldy, B/O type smells. My room also smelled. In my room, there were Vitamin Water bottles from the previous […] tenant still in the room (had been opened) and trash in the trash can. The bathroom counter had not been wiped clean. During my stay, the cleaning was not done thoroughly. I would come back to my room to a half-cleaned bathroom, missing towels, and trash still in my trash cans. Very disappointed. My air conditioner also stopped working in the middle of the night one night. The location was great though for my work that week. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would not recommend"
Upon arriving, the first thing I noticed was a very unpleasant odor in the lobby. I mentioned it to the front desk person. They said it was coming from work being done outside. That was not the case as the odor was there all weekend, and no work being done outside. I asked for a quiet room. Well, it could not have been any louder. After only 2 hours […] I was moved onto another floor. This floor was quiet. And the room a bit nicer than the first. So I thought smooth sailing from here on out. Well, although the room/floor was quiet, housekeeping sucked. On my second day I realized that house keeping did not empty waste baskets. I thought, no big deal. I noticed my bathroom floor had not been cleaned. I thought... no big deal... but upon going to bed I noticed they did not change the sheets. A small coffee stain from the previous morning was still there. I was outraged. The staff was very friendly however. I would not stay there again. Rob Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Hotel staff was very helpful, however the place was dirty and had a strange smell in the lobby and dining area. When I was in the room and took my shoes off and walked across the floor the bottom of my socks turned black. Needless to say I don't think there has been a mop used in the room in some time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice area in downtown Dallas"
My overall stay was nice. I would say excellent except I was expecting a little more in the room for the price I paid. The doorman (Franklin) was really nice and very helpful in taking us where we needed to go in the area. The doorman during the night was a bit rude to my guest because she didn't have change to pay him. He was not helpful in helping […] her resolve the issue. The ladies at the front desk were all really nice and accommodating! I would recommend this hotel, however I would advise the guest to look at a room before booking so they won't be in for a rude awakening like I was. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"w/in walking distance of restaurants/arts district"
Clean, comfortable, uniquely decorated room. Liked that instead of carpeting our room had wood floor. Walls were a little thin so neighbor noise carried through, but not that different from other hotels. Didn't use the shuttle service (3mi radius) but nice to know it is available for a future visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Older hotel..friendly staff"
The staff was very helpful and friendly but we couldn't check in until after 6 PM which was a hassle. We tried at 3 our room wasn't ready. Tried again at 5:30 and it still wasn't ready. We didn't get back until after 10 PM so not sure what time it was actually ready. We had a king suite which was very nice. The hotel is old and the lobby smells old. […] We were offered a queen room and breakfast instead but declined since we had reserved the king suite. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place and central location"
We loved Hotel Indigo. The staff was amazing and always courteous. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well kept. It is a quiet hotel which was nice for a relaxing getaway. "um not what we were expecting"
paying 150 for one night we thought we were going to be able to have room to walk in our room. our room was extremely crowded and a lot of the time we had to walk sideways to do anything. If you are just sleeping it is fine but if you want to spend quality time in the room make sure and get another hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Don't do it."
When we arrived the first thing someone would notice is a very gruesome smell. It smelled as if sewage had leaked all across the lobby. Check-in time was supposed to be at 3pm, yet no one was able to go into their rooms until 5pm. They basically told us that they would let us know when our rooms would be ready and it would only take fifteen minutes. […] A friend and I had booked our rooms at the same time and requested to have them nearby each other. We were assured this had been taken care of. When we arrived we were told that not only were our rooms not next to each other but they were four floors apart. The elevator buttons do not light up so you have to pray that it will actually stop on your floor. There isn't an ice machine on the tenth floor so you first we went to the eleventh only to find that one didn't work and then finally down to the ninth to get ice. The hotel seemed very understaffed. Old room service trays were left in the halfway for hours and we found ourselves dodging those at times. We called the front desk to request taxi can service and they said we would have to come downstairs and one would arrive every five minutes. After getting everyone together and heading downstairs, the same lady who answered the phone told us it would be a 20 minute wait and that our destination was most likely out of the 3 mile radius. This was probably the worst hotel stay I had ever had before, it's a wonder this place is still in business. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location for in-town access"
My room wasn't ready until close to 5pm which proved to be a bit of an inconvienience. The hotel was active, lively and seemed to be full. The walls are thin and you can hear -everything- that goes on in your neighbors' rooms. THe decor was light and bright. Someone had left me a few pretzels sprinkled about my night stand, I need to find out who to […] thank for this. The bathroom was bright, but did not feel especially clean. "Great price and super convenient"
I loved the hotel and location. My room was located right outside the elevators which was frustrating due to inconsiderate guests standing in the hall late at night talking outside my door. Also, some of the food selections were a bit disappointing. I had a salad with blue cheese and peaches. They simply opened a can of dole peach cubes and dumped it […] over the lettuce :( The wings were very good! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel needs work"
This hotel is convenient if you are downtown and it has a decent restaurant. But the rooms are old and there are cracks everywhere, giving you the feeling that it needs a facelift. The gym is decent. "A fine place for a business stay"
The hotel had the bare minimum amenities for a business traveler. For the price, the quality was acceptable. The gym was on the small side, but it had a wide variety of equipment and was clean. The room was smaller than expected, but was in good condition. However, there was only one garbage can in the entire room and it was by the desk, no bathroom […] can. "Hotel Indigo- Downtown Dallas, TX"
My stay in the Hotel Indigo was a pleasant experience. Clean hotel, friendly staff and good proximity to the Dallas Convention Center. The hotel offers shuttle service within a 3 mi radius of the hotel. Hotel has good exercise room and good restaurant/bar. I will utilize this hotel again when I have business in the downtown Dallas area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was mediocre; staff was very nice; the cafe was closed during the day on the weekend; parking is dismal. Not for young people to go have fun.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great customer service"
Fantastic hotel. Great customer service, esp by Ellease at the front desk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I had a wonderful stay at the Indigo, and would gladly stay there the next time I am in Dallas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel. Staff seemed very nice; beds were comfortable; parking garage across the street; pleasing colors and style to the lobby and rooms. Only drawbacks were the rooms were small (not really an issue) and didn't seem to have any deal with the parking garage for reduced fees. I don't think there was any complimentary breakfast either.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Bring nose plugs"
do those exist? hotel was pretty stinky, and they have attempted to clean up the smell with so many other smells, that it is a little bit nauseating in the lobby. rooms are a little run down, bathroom had peeling paint and not well lit. our room with two beds had the beds with the feet towards each other, and the tv in the middle of the room, so only […] one person could watch it at a time. "NICE LOCATION, BUT SMALL ROOMS, AND OLD BUILDING"
JUST GOODGenuine Expedia guest review
I had an unexpected stay at the Indigo due a friend being in the hospital at Baylor. We arrived close to midnight and essentially slept there before going back to the hospital, so we didn't spend any real time at the hotel. That being said, booking on Expedia mobile was quick and easy and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't come […] to Dallas prepared to spend the night and the hotel staff helped with toiletries and such. The hotel is very "cool" looking - nice colors and details - much more interesting than your typical modern hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
For the amount of money i spent, I did not enjoy the hotel. To say the least, the rooms felt very closeted and you could barely move around in the rest room. Water pressure was horrible in the shower and there was not enough curtain on the shower to prevent floors from getting soaked. Not my idea hotel....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
During my 3 night stay, the complimentary shuttle vans availability seemed to be a bit lacking. At one point, one of the vans was in the shop which compounded the problem. Nevertheless, the hotel staff were very accommodating and courteous and the room and overall feel of the hotel was very comfortable. Great downtown location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very thin walls"
the hotel itself was very nice. The only downside is that the walls are paper thin. You can hear every conversation going on around you in the rooms next to and in the hallway. Our room had an adjoining room door. And the gap under the door is so big you can see the lights from the other room. That is the same case for the hall door.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall it was an incredible stay. I was upgraded to a suite for no extra charge due to room non availability. The only thing I could think of that was a bit of an inconvenience was the parking garage. It doesn't connect directly to the hotel and it's extremely small. Plus it's 4 dollars to exit which the hotel doesn't reimburse. It's not that big of […] a deal but still it kept me from getting full 5 star hotel experience. The location is incredible walking distance to many great clubs and bars in the area. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Noisy but Nice"
We enjoyed our overall stay, however we felt this hotel was quite noisy. Lots of kids in adjoining rooms, hallway noise could be quite deafening at times. Also, through no fault of the Hotel, a highly inebriated gentleman decided to pass out in front of our room so we had to literally "step over him" to get to our door. He proceeded to have a wonderful […] drunken conversation with some lady via cell-speaker phone while we tried to get to bed (all at 3:15 in the am). At least the security people came within 10 minutes to scoop this guy off of the floor and shove him into his "room" (ah, if he had a room why was he camped out on the floor in front of ours??!). Crazy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
