If you plan on sleeping at all do not stay at this hotel, there is a bar connected to the hotel right next to the lobby and they blast music all night, i stayed on the sixth floor and could not sleep because the music was so loud i will never stay there again, it smells and the beds are terrible

The hotel itself was perfectly fine, very friendly staff, let us check-out at 1pm for no extra cost, that's very appreciable. Pool was just fine, no one was there on a Saturday morning, it was perfect. The one major downfall of this hotel is that on Friday night (march 1, 2013) there was a LOUD rock band playing until 2am in the bar attached to the […] hotel. We could hear it all the way up on the 6th floor facing the OTHER side! Nowhere on the website is this mentioned, I normally wouldn't mind if on vacation but I was there for work, had to wake up at 5:00am and got NO SLEEP. I would recommend only if you call before to make sure there is no band playing during your stay, lots of college kids hanging around, in hotel lobby, bar and even in the hallways at 3:45am being loud and annoying. Just enough if you are planning to use the hotel fr just overnight stays. Comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, nicely made beds. Ventilation is 0. Breakfast is negligeable. 10$ charge for parking is not right.

We went for a wedding and knew we wouldn't spend much time in our room, so it was fine. The beds seemed to have been updated, but that's it..which I guess is the nicest thing to have new, if anything! Otherwise a little sketchy as far as other 'local' hotel stayers..if you know what I mean. Would not recommend if you have kids.

My boyfriend and I went to San Diego to spend New Years with my family. This hotel is a block from my sister's place, so I didn't think twice before I booked... When we got there, we immediately had the first impression: the hotel is old, the people that are in the front desk don't seem to work in a hotel. We got in the room and we decided to take a […] nap. After our one hour nap I decided to go to the restroom and when I stood up and looked at the sheets I saw some blod spots in the sheets!!! I freaked out thinking that there were bed bugs! We immediately took a shower and contacted the receptionist that said that was going to send someone to check. After 15 min a kid(probably under 20 yo) showed up and looking at the bed assured us that it was not bed bugs (how did he know looking for 5 min is the million dollar question!) and asked us: "would you like us to change the sheets?"... Come on!!! Did he really think we were going to stay in the same room? We asked to change rooms and the other room seemed a bit better than the old one... The hotel was OK, but needs to address some issues. When we checked in around 8pm, it was obvious that there was a loud party in the bar area. With little kids in tow, we went to our given room and settled in for the night. We booked non smoking room with refrigerator and microwave....we got put on a smoke filled floor and no fridge or micro! They finally moved us to an upper floor with no smell of smoke and both fridge and micro. Then the stay was nice and room seemed refurbished. The price was right for what we got.

The bed was hard. The room was very nice and clean. maid service was super. Had to change rooms due to AC not working. Fire alrams went off two different nights. False alarms, but scarey to be awaken like that. I ahd stayed here last year and was pleased then. Dissappointed this time around.

The beds were far from queen size like it stated on the website. It smelled like smoke in a non-smoking area. and the walls were all chipped up. Not a very clean room as far as looks went. No phone cord for the telephone too.

I was a little disapointed with our stay especially with the amount we paid. The hotel was perfect for our trip to Sea World. The location allowed easy access to Sea World and back to the hotel. The downside was that on Saturday night the bar downstairs had very loud music until 2:00 am. We were on the 3rd floor of the hotel and could hear the music quite well. Our room had 2 double beds rather than 2 queen beds so a little uncomfortable if you are used to a larger bed. If you only need a place to sleep and shower for your trip to Sea World, you really cannot beat the price and location. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. Horrible. I had two rooms under one reservation. Checked in around 12pm and they told me that the 2nd room wouldn't be ready till 3pm. So when my family and I returned around 9pm after a long hot day at Sea World, we finally checked into the second room which was on the 4th floor. Room #1 was on the 2nd floor. I requested that they give me another room […] on the second floor instead. They did so, however the room they assigned had a horrible stale shower smell that also fill up the hall way near the elevator. I was very disappointed, but decided not to make a fuss about it. As for room #1, the bar downstairs played live music all night. The music pounded through the floor and walls. So to wrap this regretful experience up, a couple of days after I checked out, I discovered that Quality Inn charge me an additional $70 as a no show fee. They failed to update their system properly when canceling out the 2nd room on the 4th floor for the exchanged one on the 2nd floor; assuming i had 2 reservations. The lady at the front desk insisted that I did. Luckily Expedia went to bat for me. I should be getting a refund in a matter of days. Next time I'll spend a little extra and stay at a higher ranking hotel. Read more

Neighborhood feels ok for a single woman. Water pipes made loud noises after using the shower - staff seemed to know about it when I called, and whether they did anything or not, the noise stopped after I spoke to the desk person. The rooms were dark and dreary, the beds were so worn and uncomfortable. I could feel the springs in my back all night. The old T.V. sound did not work. Having visited San Diego many times I have never stayed in this area. It was convenient to everything. One bus ride took us to Old Town and we could catch a bus anywhere or take the trolley it was all very convenient. The hotel helped alot to ease my tension about venturing out unaware of my surroundings. Had a great time and will return to this area […] again im sure and stay at Quality Inn.
