"Do not book wedding block here"
10/27/14 NHwedge Barrington, New Hampshire
We first found this hotel when looking for a room block for wedding guests close to our reception in Plymouth. This hotel is 7 minutes away from the reception site so we chose it for that reason. We called to get the block set up 1 year before the wedding date. Setting up the block was easy and painless. We were give 15 rooms, 10 double queens and 5 king rooms. All of this info was put on our invites and people started booking rooms Everything was all set up until 2 weeks before the wedding date. We got a call from the hotel telling us first there was a water problem and they would need to move ALL of our guests. When i inquired further about the water problem and what it was that could not be fixed in 2 weeks the gentleman on the phone clammed up and said it was some other type of problem. I spoke with my fiance and we called back to get more answers. On the return call they told us they would be able to accommodate all our of guests in their sister hotel in Lincoln. This hotel is 20 minutes north of the reception site. We pressed on about the issue that would not allow our guests to stay in Ashland and they finally admitted to us that they had overbooked. At this point to save us some relief and stress my mother in law got involved and called the corporate office. After a days worth of calls to the corporate office we were told all of our guests would be moved back to Ashland. We thought this would be the end of it, we were wrong. When a guest of our wedding called to check on her room she was offered a free stay at a condo resort about 7 minutes away. This might sound good to some, but we were attempting to keep all of our guests together due to dropping off welcome bags and having on shuttle to the other hotel. Another call to the hotel to ask that they please not offer this resort. Once again we were assured this would not happen again. Day of we get to the hotel to drop off welcome bags, and more of our guests have been offered the condo resorts and taken it. We were pretty mad at that point. The lady at the front desk first tells us a story about an employee who booked a bus tour and our wedding than left the company. She went on to say maybe its a good things some people took the condo resort cause they would give us a larger gift, Needless to say we were not impressed While this hotel might be nice and it is right off the highway, they are a pain to deal with for any large groups. I would suggest looking elsewhere.
"Very clean hotel with reasonable prices"

While taking a day trip through the White Mountains in New Hampshire, we decided on another stay at the Comfort Inn in Ashland, NH, after a long absence. We cannot say enough about the staff member on the desk, and also helping people with the lovely breakfast menu. Her name is Debbie and she is absolutely a big asset to the Comfort Inn in Ashland. We will be back. Norma and Sid Carlson - Northwood, NH

So disappointing! Location right off highway, convenient yes, but unkempt. Our first room stank of body odor, changed rooms, next room not much better. Felt very dirty! We couldn't stay! Desk staff checked us out promptly without a problem. I am grateful for that. We lucked out and got a room at Glynn House.
"Right off i93"

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and no frills. We had our dog with us and that was OK. At the end of the dead end street there was an area when the dog could run around. It's right off the highway, so there's not much to that doesn't involve driving, but New Hampshire's beautiful lakes and mountains are close by.
"It's rundown "
The hotel is a little off the beaten path and there is not much to do in the area. The building needs a lot of general maintenance inside and out. The carpets and the furniture in the rooms are showing significant signs of wear and tear. Parking is a little difficult because they have a lot across the street and a lot next to the hotel which is down a steep hill which you then have to walk up to get to the lobby. It's hard to get your bags in and out of the building with that kind of distance and there is also no elevator so if you're on the 1st or 3rd floor then you have to carry your bags up or down the steps. Also the wifi did not work very well.
"Clean and comfortable"

Only one complaint on arriving at the hotel we found it has no elevators. Not a problem for the man on duty, he happily carried out bags upstairs for us. Room was very clean and comfortable, quiet day and night. Very nice breakfast with a smile in the mornings, lovely lady there willing to help with anything. Hotel is easy to access right off the HWY.
"Good value, friendly staff"
Stayed just one night but was impressed by the helpful, friendly staff (Deb at the front desk was great and Margot in the breakfast room was very helpful). The room was clean, spacious and quiet. Wi-Fi was weak, but available. Just off the intersection of Routes 3 and 93 with plenty of parking.

We were on a roadtrip heading for the White Mountains and without reservation, we stayed at this place for one night. Easy to find just off I93. Clean rooms, nice beds, helpful and friendly staff. Quiet hotel. Good price also. Definitely would recommend this place!
"Make a reservation"
For the price, it may have been the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Easy to find off I-93, clean room and bathroom, friendly and helpful staff (especially appreciated the free toothbrush I was given from the gentleman working at the front desk when I told him I had forgotten mine). Give it a try!

Great place if you want to ski at Loon or Waterville Valley. No pool or hot tub but friendly, quiet, comfy and half the price of hotels in Lincoln. Right off Route 93 - 20 minutes from Loon Mountain. They have a discount for Waterville Valley but not Loon.
