Hotel was very nice. Perfect location in heart of Toronto. Rooftop pool is a really nice plus. My one complaint is that they automatically charged for parking although we didn't even have a car. I just happened to catch it on the bill. So...I would say, stay here but check your bill.

Great location right next to St. George's subway station. Also has a drug store, Starbucks and McDonalds nearby, which is very convenient. Right next to UT campus, highend shopping district, and several museums. Room was comfortable, though a bit dark. All the little things they had also made the stay very enjoyable: slippers, umbrellas on loan for rainy days, apples at the front desk, daily newspapers. The Yorkville section of Toronto is a wonderful place to shop and dine. However, bring your checkbook....it ain't cheap. The people are EXTREMELY friendly and the city is impeccably clean. its truly a refreshing change from the noise and filth of NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, etc.

The hotel is located on a busy Toronto street so make sure you know how to get there if you are driving yourself. Hotel and staff were great. Room was very nice. My only small issue was the bathroom. The bathroom itself was clean and nice just the shower didn't seem clean. Everything else was great and we would stay there again.

Good value, excellent location. Small lobby and little choice for eating directly in the hotel are the only detrimentals, on the other hand lots of good restaurants in the area. Great beds.

I mentioned that a quiet room was desired. I was given a third floor room facing the back parking lot where each of the three mornings construction drilling awakened me at 8am. No offer to change rooms was extended. A fruit platter was offered but never delivered. The front desk person was condescending and smug.

Very happy. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom felt very luxurious. Clogged toilet, no help with first call on a Friday night. Had to make a second call the next morning to finally get someone! Also took them forever to check me in!.... The breakfast is very tasteless and expensive .... Will not go back there again!

I was disappointed. I couldn't sleep because of the loud music sounds. I ignored some review about loud music sounds but it was true. Staff were really nice but the room wasn't that great. TV was awful. I wouldn't go back there again.

Front desk staff were friendly and consierge was excellent. Room was comfortable with view over the street to the Royal Ontario Museum. Street noise is a bit of an issue at night but this is an urban setting. Breakfast was tasty although the toast was a bit burned two mornings in a row.

My wife and I wanted to spend Christmas in Toronto since we had never visited the city. We always stay at the Intercontinential in Montreal because of it's nearness to the old port and have been very pleased with the hotel. We chose the Yorkville location in Toronto for Intercontinential because of it's location to the museums and shopping. We were […] extreemly pleased with the hotel staff. Evan made great suggestions for restaurants and even got us reservations for Christmas Eve dinner at Sotto-Sotto which was one of the best Italian dinners we have experienced. Gularre was our server for breakfast each morning and started our day with her wonderful smile and fantastic attitude. The food was great! All in all, a wonderfully warm older hotel with great staff and service. We would definately stay here again on another visit to Toronto. Read more

I was surprised to find an Intercontinental at this price but thought I'd give it a try. While the overall appearance of the hotel is good, the rooms definitely need an upgrade. They look generally a little worn - bathroom tiles slightly cracked, no flat-screen TV. It's just a little tired for an Intercontinental. My only problem was on the day I checked out - I called down for the valet to bring my car down and was told 10 minutes, went downstairs and 15 minutes later the car had not arrived. Nothing about this hotel stands out as any better than the rest but it was good enough. Only disappointment is that hotels (this one included) keep nickle and diming for WiFi... it's not a huge expense to offer simple WiFi so it's always frustrating when it's not included. We stayed here for two nites before heading over to Niagara Falls. The hotel was clean and new looking, The staff at the hotel was very helpful especially the concierge. The neighborhood was perfect between Yorkville and the college area, restaurants all were pricey and we're from NY! The streets are clean. We didn't eat at the hotel, but had some drinks […] one nite. Nice courteous help. While walking around town, one of us had a camera strung around the neck and we often stopped with a map in our hands and passers by would stop and ask if we needed help. Very nice people in Canada. We parked in the municipal lot behind the hotel for the two days we were there. We left the car there from Friday afternoon till Sunday noon and it cost 38$. Before we went to Canada we saw an earlier review that said to park there and not use the hotel valet which is $35 per day. A pleasant stay. Pusateri deli had good bakery products. But we couldn't find good croissants. Trader Joes frozen chocolate are still the best. These people just can't seem to get it right with the flakiness and the butter. They're mostly bready, not pastry! Also did some shopping in Niagara Falls. Danier leathers. Great prices! 13% tax in canada! But good prices on leather! Read more

Breakfast is expensive, below-freezing temperatures (even in summer) with no buffet, baby beds weren't in room when we arrived (after 9pm) and "we got lucky" according to the hotel staff. No internet cafe or free wireless. Had to ask multiple times for enough towels for everyone in the room. Central and upscale, but a bit run down.

The InterContinental was a beautiful hotel. There is a vodka bar in the hotel that is popular with the locals and guests and the location of the hotel is right in the hip downtown area. If you forget a necessity there is also a convenience store next to the hotel. The staff was great! We did have to wait quite a while for our car at check-out time, […] but we did not mind. The concierge went above and beyond. He took the time to research diamond stores for us and then call me on my cell phone (which I asked him to do) while we were at the zoo to let us know what he found. The location of the hotel made it very easy to take public transportation. We actually took the "Rocket" from the airport and then transfered to the Bloor Street Subway. For $3 total per person this definitely beat paying $40 or $50 for a taxi. We were still at the hotel within 30 minutes.
