Days Inn Downtown Windsor - Casino District - Windsor

This hotel is the 2013 version of a Norman Bates Motel. The rooms were not cleaned properly. The walls were paper thin so you could hear everything going on in the rooms around you. The room we had was ground level facing the street so we could hear people fighting with the newspaper box which was located right outside our window. Terrible hotel.

The hotel was completely over run with students under 21 who were drunk and obnoxious inside and directly outside of the hotel, to the point where security was attempting to control them at night. The students had a free-for-all. We could not have breakfast, there was no coffee or juice and tons of hung over people lazing around the breakfast area, […] it was revolting. The location and hotel service are excellent, while the complementary breakfast was very poor and no coffee maker was in the room. For the weekend, young adults slummed several doors around 3 and 4am. No security was appeared.

Comfort scored low, as the heat in the room was completly off, it took almost 3 hours for the room to warm up. I sat in my coat, hat, and shoes on until it warmed up. I understand conserving energy, but i had to blast the heat all night full to get the room comfortable. Is that energy conservative?

We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness and security. It was nice to have McDonalds next to hotel. Also the breakfast was nice, even included fruit. It was close to casino and offered a shuttle bus that stopped in front of hotel by the casino.

Our room had new carpet and wallpaper (lightly lined beiges). The room, halls, and lobby were very clean. We stayed during the week, and there was no noise at all. Thank heavens, there was not a soft pillow-top mattress, but a good firm one. It was not at all hard. We were delighted with our choice of hotels.

We got real drunk and had a great time, no complaints. The continental breakfast is a joke though, the orange juice was expired which sucked because we were trying to make mimosa's. All in all for the price its well worth it!

The room was ice cold. had to run the hot water for 10 mins before the water become warm. Key card did not work, went to front desk they de-magnotized the key but still could not get in the room security had to come and open the door with the key. I definitely will not stay at the Days Inn or recomend the hotel to any of my friends

Best thing about this place was the service. If you need a place to crash before going into the US, it doesn't get much closer or better (price wise). Parking is good, breakfast is included.

Clean, comfortable room, very friendly and efficient staff, good breakfast. This hotel is in a rather rundown area of downtown-do not recommend you walk the streeets after dark! We took a taxi to and from the casino, but were still approached by a questionable character as we walked across the road to McDonald's for a bite about 11 pm.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay that's reasonably priced and close to Caesar Windsor, the bars and clubs, then Days Inn is that place. It's nothing special and usually filled with young adults (ages 19-mid 20s) so if that's what you're looking for then you'll be satisfied.

Just stayed here to catch an early train out of Windsor. Very few amenities, no coffee maker, iron, fridge, or microwave in room, no coffee or other beverages in the lobby. Room was rundown, but reasonably clean. In one room (we rented 2) it was very cold, and heater didn't work very well. Walls are thin, I woke up at 2:30 in the morning with people […] talking in the next room, not talking loud, but I could still hear them clearly. Breakfast was barely adequate, bagels, cold cereal & stale muffins, juice machine was out of order, they only had about 1/2 cup of milk left & coffee ran out. No one even bothered to look in the breakfast room to see how it was stocked. Cheap enough rate for just sleeping there one night, but I'll look for something else next time. Read more

Hotel was right next to fire station and hospital. If I had an emergency this would be great but sirens kept waking us up. We had a back-up in the bathroom and the front desk did not see fit to send anyone to look or bring a plunger to try to fix this. Service was lacking as was any food at the continental breakfast. If you're going to Windsor to go clubbing on Oulette Av. then this is the perfect spot! 3 minute walk to VooDoo nightclub, next-door to McDonald's & 3 minute walk to The Machester sportsbar which had the best Long Islands :) great place to stay for a cheap & fun night!!!

The room was awful. It smelt like vomit, we had someone freshen the room up and 10 minutes later the smell was back. The beds were disgusting, also smelt like vomit. First of all, our non-smoking room came up as a smoking room on their system upon check-in. They upgraded us to a king size room. The hotel staff was very, very friendly. The first night, the guests in the next room were 19 year olds who were drinking and partying. They kept us up all night! Double bed room, good thing be cause one bed was hard like a rock, other was manageable. Location a couple blocks from downtown, not much noise. Breakfast consist of cerial, bagels and muffins, juice and coffee. Wireless internet very flaky and unstable most of the time. House keeping friendly and helpful.

The hotel is coviently located near to downtown, no noise to contend with. I had two beds, one was a bit hard, the other was alright. The ice machine on the 3rd floor didn't work most of my stay, had to use the 2nd floor one. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

It was great. Right next to the strip, although online it says that there is a bar inside of the hotel... that is old, they got rid of that I believe the lady we asked said three years ago, sort of disappointing.

Heat not on between clients - room at 50 degrees on arrival on a cold winter day - then thermostat would not shut off all night. If turned down heat went off. No newspaper as advertised or fruit with breakfast cereal, no fridge or coffee maker in room I had.
