I've nothing to complain, actually! I had an excellent stay in the hotel...very spacious for two...we love it...beddings are in good quality and very clean; slept through the night with so much comfort. Maintain the great service! thank you!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"More issues than we expected."
One of the glasses provided in the room was still dirty from the previous guests. The elevator call buttons on each floor and button panels inside the elevators routinely get stuck, causing the car to stop on random floors and trigger the doors to close early. We were almost hit by the doors three time before we could enter the elevator car. If you […] wish to use room service, make sure to order as early as possible. It can take more than 1 1/2 hours to get your order. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place to stay in Vegas"
I like the fact the hotel is away from Las Vegas Blvd. (Strip). Access is easy, accommodations are spacious, clean and comfortable. Check in and out along with credits provided as a part of the transaction through Hotels.com went off without a hitch!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Smoky and noisy and no pool"
3 night stay. While it was a nice big suite but the location facing Flamingo road was very noisy. (masquerade tower) There is no pool or jacuzzi right now but they still charge a nightly "resort" fee. $20 per night. They said we can use tge pool at the Aria or Harrahs. The casino is smoky and I think this carries up into the rooms - my throat was hurting […] after the 2nd day. Take your own KEURIG coffee and stuff. There is a fridge in room but the ice machine on our floor was out for 2 days/nights. There is a good Indian food restaurant in the Rio with a $15.00 buffet. This hotel is quite far off the strip and traffic is horrendous on Fri and Sat. Nights. The check in staff was very nice though. Overall I'd give the Rio about a 3 or a little less. "Large rooms - clean"
We stayed here for three nights. The rooms are large and clean. Lots of room with a living area and large bathroom and dressing area. There was one unusual thing which was a window that looks into the shower-toilet from the living room. Very odd? Other than that - everything was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for the money.."
The Rio is a great hotel for the money..paid 39$ a night for a suite (they all are suites) with 2 queens and a couch. Room was clean but a little lacking in some areas. The shower head wasnt screwed on properly (squirted water in all directions)...there was a knob missing on some of the cabinet doors...the window was VERY dirty so the views werent the […] best (they were ok), BUT all in all it was a good experience with the staff and again for what I paid it was a great room. I had a car, but there are shuttles to the strip. It's 2 minutes driving. Walking about 15 minutes. Would stay there again in a heart beat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"not bad for the price"
comfortable, restaurants are pretty pricey. kinda caters to the younger hot shot types. best part is that they have some pleasant hawaiians working there with aloha spirit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"more expensive than advertised"
Hotels.com told me I would pay the hotel $60 in fees, but the hotel charged me $120 in resort fees. You need to double the fees that you will pay the hotel directly when considering your cost. The hotel would not take away the charge even after showing them my email from hotels.com showing the fee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Alternative to the large hotels on the strip"
This is an all suite hotel with all of the amenities of a large, Las Vegas casino. It is located off the strip but still close to the strip, making it easier to get to with car. I was upgraded to a massive suite, perhaps because they get some information from Hotels.com that I stay regularly in 4 and 5 star properties. Matress was softer than I like. […] It is a big hotel so you have to walk long distances to get from restaurant to elevator to reception to car park, etc. but all large L.V hotels are like that. "Perfect Batchalor Party Location"
It was great, good size room. A few of us fit and it was a good time. The couch is NOT a sofa bed, but it worked for someone to sleep on.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place, but a bit isolated"
This is a nice hotel and casino. The poker room was very good and professional. The hotel is a bit isolated and you have to use a free shuttle or taxi to get to shows and restaurants on the strip. The only problem with the place was the elevators were erratic and slow. One was stuck one the first floor and never moved. Another one was stuck on the 11th […] floor and never move (although they seemed to be working on it. Two others had buttons permanently on, so the elevator always stopped on those floors going up or down. Because of the poor condition of the elevators, it was usually crowded and often a long wait. "It isn't in the Strip but is good"
excelente, eveything was fine. The servisse is not so good as the location, There is a lot of options for entertainementGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It is a nice hotel with all amenities, like the buffet, had fun with live music on Friday night, only thing I can complaint was that our room had drainage problems in both sinks. My husband and I are not picky persons that's why let the front desk know at check out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My trip was for business. I arrived late evening. I had to wait about 5-10 min to get checked in. I found this reasonable as it is a resort and Vegas. I have waited much longer at hotels in the past. The front desk were super. They apologized and upgraded me to a top floor suit. This was not expected but much appreciated! I have stayed at the Rio in […] the past and always have been satisfied. The rates are competitive with hotels that are much more worn and dated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was fine other than a lamp in our room was broken when we arrived. I asked them to replace it and they never did during 4 night stay. Also I was charged $98 upon checkout for resort fees which I was told covered local phone calls, internet usage and 2 passes to the gym which I never used any of. Always love staying at the Rio!! Every staff member from check in to the black jack dealers are friendly and helpful!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Rio offers very spacious rooms, nicely equipped and decorated. Minibar, refrigerator and coffee machine are available. Room was clean. Extra charge for coffee in the room is very expensive. Only one internet device included in resort fee!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I don't think I will be bringing my dog again since it cost more for him then two other people. I'm sure the room would have been much nicer had it not been a pet stay room. I still think I should have got a nicer room considering the money I had to pay just to have my dog in the room. Especially because my dog is very well behaved. Other then that […] the stay was nice. "hotel fails on service"
This hotel has very poor customer service, they told us the pool was open when I called , but closed it the day we checked in, the internet was down for three days ( they still wanted to charge resort fees) the attitude of the front desk was we don't care about you as a guest, the hotels buffet was about $70.00 for two and very very poor quality, we […] just walked out it was that bad. Price was good. Hotel was top notch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Price went up $70 during booking. Then $99 for taxes fees and additional $22 resort fees. Not sure if it was a scam. Would recommend other properties first. Expensive for comparable hotels. They retrieved a forgotten item and held it at security.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Terrible Customer Service and Facility"
This hotel was once a fine run property, today Im afraid to state it maybe the worst run hotel in Vegas. "a sudden charge comes when check in"
In general, it was ok. But, we booked at a price of USD 49.95 incl. tax and service fee. However, the hotel charged us addtional USD 22.4 per room as a so called 'resort fee' . We were unhappy on this charge because is was a fee without a pre-notice .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hard to access from freeway"
1. Because of road layout, the hotel is hard to access from the freeway. For whatever reason, my "maps" app had me going around the block, which wasn't really necessary. Probably not the Hotel's fault though. 2. They tacked on a "recreation" fee which allowed me to use the internet, gym, and something else, which I wasn't expecting and is normally included […] in the normal rate. "Top drawer visit-stay!"
My last stay at the Rio was about three years ago; it was a great experience then and even better this time. From the moment that we arrived at the hotel, we found ALL staff to be most friendly, professional and efficient. Our suite was exceptionally a 5 star with all the amenities one could want. The bathroom was one that Cleopatra would have enjoyed. […] We so wished we could have stayed longer; but our road trip had deadlines. We definitely will have to return for a longer stay. "i felt the hotel gouged me with the fees when"
I was charged fees at check out that i didn't. Expect the long distance rates weren't published. I had problems with my cell phone and had to call it to check my message s the cost was well over $100 Plus a resort fee that wasn't explained and no shuttle to the hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I've always been a fan of the Rio and try to spend time there every time I'm in Vegas. This was my first time staying there and I was very impressed. The room was clean, the services were excellent and the price was great. The bed was possibly the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on. "Great location right off strip"
Everything I needed I found within this hotel. I stayed for a 3 day conference and did not need to leave for personal items or restaurants. The Rio has it all and then some more. The location is great to stay right off of the Vegas strip so it was not loud or busy. I loved my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room smelled like raw sewage"
The room smell was so bad that I called and waited in the hallway for engineering. I waited 30 minutes and was told they were dispatched. I called at 45 minutes told they were coming....called at one hour said I am not staying in the room I need to be moved...the manager said they had 1 room left and it was a down grade for the same price....I was also […] told I could not move to a different property because I booked through hotels .com......disgusting bathroom look as if it was never cleaned...Never again staying at the RIO! "Just off the strip"
Pricing was very good. It is west of the strip and freeway. That is good and bad. Taxi or drive to the strip is necessary-but valet is everywhere costing just a tip. Taxi is avail, bit more costly. Good though is ability to escape the busy crowdedness of the strip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice rooms but a lot of street noise"
We stayed in the Masquerade Tower on the 13th floor, overlooking Flamingo Road and the 15 freeway. The street noise was very loud; it almost sounded like a window was open. I think the noise came through the "fresh air vents" you can open (but we had all of them closed.) Any loud car or motorcycle that went by, the noise was transmitted straight into […] the room. The hotel is clean overall, decent location, and has great suites, but I wish they'd seal up those vents and offer more noise protection from the 15 and Flamingo Road. "Not up to standard"
Although we were advised that our room was an upgrade - it was not. The view was amazing but, unfortunately, for the 2 days we were there both the sinks in the bathroom were blocked. The pillows were lumpy and need replacing. "Ok for Price Paid"
Wifi did not work in room. Called tech support 3 times. It would work & then be gone. Location was easy to find & had shuttle service to strip since it was not within walking distance. Parking for hotel was confusing on where exactly to go if you didn't want to use valet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room, not conveint shuttle, bad valet"
We booked this room because of the price for the size of the room (a fantastic suite!) and for the alleged ease of getting to the strip via a free shuttle. The shuttle service was slow and sporadic and not nearly convenient enough to be worth choosing this hotel again, we took cabs almost the entire weekend (which wasn't awful, but added another $80 […] or so to the cost of the vacation, nearly negating the savings of choosing the Rio in the first place). Penn & Teller was great, we probably wouldn't have gone had we not stayed here, so that was a plus. A big selling point for others may be the Voodoo Lounge, which we weren't interested in - we actually didn't eat anywhere in this hotel other than the Starbucks. We found much more compelling fine dining options at the Bellagio, Palazzo, Mandalay Bay, Caesars, and MGM which were all fantastic. A small gripe is the Rio valet - we had issues getting service when we arrived (first we were ignored, then someone dropped a cone in front of us without explanation and wandered away for ten minutes, then someone else ushered us along horridly and somewhat rudely), we were backed up in a cab several times by an dover-stocked valet port, and numerous times we noticed long lines of cars trying to pull into the valet that were backed up, with little or no staff tending to them... this is another reason why we took cabs most of the time.
