The room smelled bad, carpet was ripped, furniture had what appeared to be yellow pet urine stains and very few places to grab a quick bite. Also-when booking room I was told there was a $75 pet fee but when checking in I am informed the $75 fee is PER NIGHT!

I had a present trip. I did have a problem with our door lock in room 1614. The door casing was broke and had issues with the lock. A few of the elevators had buttons that were stuck "in" making the elevator rides long and unnecessary. The only other issue I had is that the general store had NO batteries which I did not understand. The stay was nice and I would stay again. Thank you

The RIO is an outstanding value. The suites are large and quiet, nicely appointed and with sweeping views. There are a lot of shops and restaurants at the hotel, and a $10 cab ride (or 10-minute walk) gets you to the center of the strip. Why stay anywhere else?

When we arrived they showed only one of the two rooms booked for us. Please refund the second room. We were unable to call up the reservation online at the time of booking and so booked another room--at less than the price you charged. We were very unhappy with Hotels.com.

Have always loved the Rio but the rooms are very dated compared to the rest of their competition on the Strip or across the street at the Palms. The $28 resort fee also seems excessive for a one night stay in a hotel where they charge $20/drink, $30 cover at VooDoo and I'm sure they make plenty on wagers. If you want to charge what the big boys do then upgrade your property so you can compete and give me value for my money.

To check in it took about 45 Min, but as soon as we were at the counter we received great service, the rooms are nice, but the cafe shop food was treble & over priced. even though they were many dinning tables available, the hostess insisted to give us table at the bar section which isn't comfortable for dinner, after trying for few minutes we requested table at the dinning, so she said for every one to leave the table & wait outside until she is ready to call which were few empty tables available, her excuse was that section waiter were busy. it too more than 15 minutes wait for empty tables & then the food was not worth waiting even for 1 minute.. She was rude & kept telling us to wait outside, instead letting us wait at the table we were sitting with drinks in our hand & there was no one else waiting for a table but her excuse was she wants to sit others if they arrived. I guess they don't pay to have professional people running their over priced restaurants.

Clean room comfortable bed. Cold Fridge, Nice TV Nice desk and seating area. To bad the coffee maker was provided to use but the coffee to put in it was a charge. Should have gone Free in the room if you make your own and don't call room service.

Pluses : Room was large, basically clean and well appointed. Early check-in a big Plus. Minuses: Entire hotel, including "non-smoking" room smelled of smoke, quite a few chipped and nicked paint and furnishings, need of repair or replacement. Early check-in costs an extra $20. Understaffed front desk so long lines.

Second time at the Rio. I rooms are good sized, clean, and feel pretty new. The staff was always helpful, courteous, and friendly. It has pretty much everything you need. It is off the strip if that makes a difference

We enjoyed our stay just wished we had a better view which I requested. We looked at the lower roof of another building. Also they need to tell customers that even if you open the mini bar just to look they charge you without taking anything!! There is a sensor on the door that tracks it!

We stayed two different times on this journey, and both times were not a pleasant stay. We informed the representative that we paid for Delux, and later we found out that we were put on Classic. Our assigned room's cleanliness and condition were horrible. On our way back home which was our second stay at Rio, a different representative helped us, and he was very impolite, unhappy and had a bad attitude. Moreover, he put us in a Smoking Room when we reserved for a NON-Smoking room. We felt we could not ask to be put in a Non-Smoking Room because the hotel representative was so unfriendly.

My experience was not what I expected. There was lack of coffee, no towels or toothbrush when I asked at the front desk. The check out was ridiculous; had to wait in line. If someone would ask me to recommend this hotel I would give it 0 out of 4 start. This is not how a 4 star hotel should treat there valued guess.

I stayed for four nights. On the first morning, there was no hot water. On the fourth morning, there was NO water for about 30-40 minutes. Also, the rooms weren't very clean. I did upgrade for $40 per night at check-in, but wish I hadn't bothered. The room was next to the elevators on the 28th floor, and it was noisy! Lots of foot traffic.

Nice hotel overall. Friendly staff. Only thing that I was not very pleased with was the check-in. Standing in a line of about 50-60 people while watching one person doing their job while 2 others that my wife pointed out had "supervisor" on their name tags just seemed more content with looking at the line than helping to make it shorter.

Everything about the RIo was fabulous except for one disappointing thing. The weather was delightful, the pool area was closed with no alternative on the property. Had family visiting from the U.K., outdoors activity a must!!!

I booked my stay specifically at the Rio for the Pool with the beach. When I checked in they informed me they had just opened it.However when I went to use the pool the very next day they informed me it was closed for thew week for maintenance. I was not very happy about this. Otherwise my stay was good.

Booked the room for our grandson's wedding in Vegas. Room was nice with a great lay out, but beds were very hard. Didn't sleep well both nights. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Watch out for the added costs billed to your room after your stay.

Always love staying here. Disappointed I didn't get in free passes to the voodoo lounge like they always use to give me. I gamble there and was hoping for some "hook ups with either discounted room or even free. Love the pool and hotel though

This is the worst experience in the 10 years I have traveled to Las Vegas for business. The ridiculousness of the hidden and extra charges is offensive - I have never been charged an early check in fee and if you try to check in on time it will take minimum 3 hours. Front desk service was horrendous. At check out took 35 minutes with only 2 people ahead of me on line. To top off the whole horrid experience, they held a deposit equal to 3 times the absurdly high "resort fee" and than - once I contacted them - stated that it would take 10 - 15 business days for the unspent amount to be returned. When advised that was absurd they tried to say it was not Rio's fault. Immediately cancelled the return trip for the following month and will never use Rio or any other Harrah's property again - DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Don't expect any amenities with your "resort fee". Not even plastic cups in the room for water. In room coffee maker but you must PAY to make a cup of coffee in the room. Long lines to check in but few staff working.
