A++. One of the BEST locations in center city and the shops at the bellevue attached. It is not a flashy super high end place (thinking Trump Tower Chicago) but they get all the important stuff right. Plus I really don't like those hotels that are so far over the top you feel uncomfortable. A very nice room in center city at a very reasonable price. […] Room: clean and completely acceptable, bed, pillows: great. The carpeting in the hallways could be updated but nothing to grumble about. Some reviews mentioned it can be loud. I was on the 12th floor, no problem sleeping, but I did find earplugs in the nightstand, very thoughtful. Indoor atrium is cool. Staff: great, definitely above par. Gym: absolutely fantastic. This is the best gym in philly; NOT a hotel gym but is free if you stay there (its connected to the hotel directly so you don't need to go outside). If working out is important to you this should be the ONLY hotel you stay at. They have an indoor track, tons of weights, treadmills, raquetball, free tanning, sauna, hot tub, pool, it is over the top. Next time I am bringing my bathing suit! I will definitely be using this as my go-to spot. Only downside: The lobby has that quintessential hotel smell I can't stand. Bathroom didn't seem to have a heating system and was a bit cold, but I left the door open and it was ok. It was pretty cold outside so that may not usually be an issue. I HEART bellevue this reminded me why Philly is such a great city. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Central Location"
It's an old hotel. Some might find it charming, but my preference is something more contemporary. The decor looks like it has not changed in 50+ years - wall paper in the halls, pasley carpeting, and layers of paint covering the once detailed mouldings. If not for the flat screen tv in the room, you would think you were transported to the 50-60s era. […] The room was clean and the staff is very pleasant. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"glad the party ended early"
The room was large and attractively furnished. It did not have an exterior window but instead windows looked out into a reception hall with a pretty spirited party. Fortunately the party ended early.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice historic hotel, great food and service"
Great friendly service; the XIX restaurant/bar/cafe is terrific. I sat at the bar on my own on a business trip and felt comfortable. It has no real lobby though, since the ground floor is mostly shops. There is a fantastic full gym/sports club in the same building, with juice bar. The room styling and amenities are a little dated - phone and bidet in […] bathroom, ice bucket etc, nowhere to plug in an ipod for tunes or anything. Decent but not free Wifi. "Philly Hyatt at Belvue"
The staff was friendly, helpful. We showed up early and in the middle of a snow storm. Our room was ready and a nice view. Great location, close to shop[ping and bars. This wasn't our first stay and wont be our last.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay overall. But!"
Shower liner was a lil dirty and sprinklers in room haven't been dusted in years. Very dissatisfied about that. For what I paid this room should be flawless.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice experience"
This was our 2nd stay and there will be more. I honestly have no complaints. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. Stay here don't look any further.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A truly grand old palace."
Super. This was a return visit. The 19th floor breakfast room is just dynamite.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel. Staff excellent, very friendly and polite. Shower is atrocious. Its hard to get wet. Water flow is slow and Shower head sucks. We know every hotel tries to save water, but this is ridiculous for a luxury hotel. Hair dryer is on such a short rope, one can not get back to the mirror. Bed pillows are all overstuffed. There should be at […] least one soft one. This are not complaints but rather constructive criticism. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I like the fact that the Hyatt is pet friendly. Looking forward to my next stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel in center city"
First time we stayed in center city and out of all the options we had, I chose this hotel and am very glad I did. From check in to check out, the staff was very attentive and courteous. Staying in the historic Bellevue Tower has its perks. A great sleep at a great location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great downtown location"
Overall excellent - walking distance to historical sites and excellent dining options.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Gorgeous, but its age shows"
Beautiful old building and very comfortable, service consistently great, but really should have been better maintained for a Hyatt. The floor of the bathtub was loose, the elevators took up to 8 minutes to arrive, one of the outlets in my room didn't work.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Only problem was room key deactivated at gymGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Still Top Notch"
I recently stayed at the Bellevue after 15 years had passed since my last visit. It's still a great hotel to rely upon for busienss travel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean - the best part about the hotel. Location is good, although not easy to get a taxi. However, the friendly bell hops are available to get you one if needed. The front […] desk is helpful and attentive. The bar is fabulous. One of the bar tenders can concoct some amazing cocktails. I won't wait 15 years before my next stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Worth the extra money"
We stayed here during the Philly Marathon weekend and would have gone with a lower priced option had one been available. That said, this hotel was worth the extra money, and we will pay a little more to stay there again. Beautifully restored, with great service and comfortable, nicely appointed rooms in a great location. Will plan to eat at the restaurant […] on the 19th floor next time - gorgeous views. "Older hotel aging well"
This hotel is so different from the other modern ones in the area. Room held two queen beds, had ceilings that must have been at least 12 feet high, and was huge. Carpeting in my room was just about ready for replacement, but the room was otherwise well maintained. If you like bright and new and shiny, this is not the place for you. If you like older […] and charming and still pretty well maintained, this is. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic Staff, Beautiful Rooms"
The hotel was in a great area and the rooms were very comfortable. The only thing that was a little bad is that it had been a very long time since anyone had vacuumed behind the headboards. I dropped my book back there and stirred up a dust storm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great City Center Philadelphia hotel - Kids & Spa"
very large room with a somewhat undersized bathroom, but not small bath. Very nice furnishings throughout. Kids welcome, and even in Spa lap pool on Saturday 8am-12 noon. Dining rooms and bar are top quality. staff are very well trained and attentive.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel in the middle of the city"
Very friendly staff and beautiful historical hotel. We had a very busy trip and didn't spend much time in the hotel except to sleep. The evening staff was excelent, and we enjoyed our stay very much. Ps the Starbucks located in the shopping portion of the building was great as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
I hated the decor of this hotel. Very old looking Bed not comfortable at allGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel in the Heart of the City"
Perfect location with all the amenities you could use. Only downfall may be the lack of modern updates in terms of things like outletsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"noisy with paper thin walls"
When I checked in I specifically asked for a quiet room/room in more quiet part of hotel. My room was right next to the elevator and was woken up every time people got off the elevator. paper thin walls and carpet was a bit dingy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel But Old Building"
The Hotel Needs Updating, but it is nice. The restaurant on the top floor was not good at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel. Good location."
We were only in Philly for one day, so I can't be too critical. The only bad thing I can say is that it's hard to find. It was my first time in Philadelphia, and the downtown driving is very confusing. Making a left turn is almost impossible (if you've been there, you know what I mean). We drove by the hotel three times before we actually saw it (the […] sign is about 12" x 12"). Once we got there though, everything was fine. Friendly staff, and nice room. Lot's of places to go within walking distance. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful historical building."
Our hotel was exactly what we wanted while visiting the historical sites in Philadelphia, beautiful architecture that compliments the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Most comfortable beds EVER!"
Gorgeous hotel with every amenity we needed or wanted.Genuine Expedia guest review
You must stay here! The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. I think this is the first hotel I stayed at where there was ample water pressure in the shower. The only con I would have is that the plush beds may be hard to get into if you're older or have arthritic problems. I was advised as I was on my way to check […] out that a step stool could be made available if you ask for it. Overall, I would definitely recommend the hotel to others and stay there again myself. "Classic and beautiful hotel"
This hotel was really lovely. The flowers and smell in the lobby made you relax instantly. The room was really quiet and spacious and we really liked the high ceilings throughout the hotel. We will totally stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The hotel was close to the theater"
Th hotel had European charm. The room was clean and comfortable. We were sent to room 1411. I found that the room had an unpleasant odor. The man at the desk immediately switched our room to one across the hall. We had a very pleasant stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Service was great, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was a decent size, and well kept.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's All Good"
Staff was friendly and very helpful. From the front desk to the cleaning staff everyone we encountered greeted us with a smile even if we just passed them in the hall. Unfortunately we were only there for one evening and had an very early flight the next morning so we did not get to enjoy all of the amenities as we would have liked, but will definitely […] go back for a longer stay. It was also pouring rain off and on the whole time. During a lull we decided to take a walk and was going to buy a cheap umbrella somewhere, however before we could do that another downpour came. We were standing on the corner waiting for the signal to cross getting absolutely soaked when a gentleman stopped his car, rolled his window down and handed us an umbrella! I turned to my husband and said "Well we are in the City of Brotherly Love" and because of the weather that umbrella is the only souvenir we have from Philadelphia! "Beautiful Hotel In a Beautiful City"
Room was huge. Much larger than we expected after staying in NYC the week before. Hotel itself was like something out of the Great Gatsby, absolutely beautiful and well kept. And obviously the location couldn't be any better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel right next to Academy of Music"

It was an excellent choice, as in real estate: location, location, location. The service was EXCELLENT!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Amazing stay, absolutely no complaints. When I booked it I was kind of scared the hotel was going to be run down and look old. It does not! The rooms are amazing!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"july 4th stay"
it was close to our son's home; spacious room; clean; great breakfast; helpful staff; great map handout; very pleased with our stayGenuine Expedia guest review
wonderful..great bedsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was very nice! My only complaint is that the pillows were to big, there were 3 on each bed and all were the same thickness. I ended up putting a bath towel in one of the pillowcases so I could have a flatter pillow. I would have liked if all of the windows had opened so that I could have gotten some fresh air. The staff was very courteous […] and friendly. The food court was not open early enough and closed way to early but that just gave me a reason to walk around the neighborhood in search of food. The subway enterance is right by the hotel and so is the bus stop. The hotel is located right in the middle of downtown and such a beautiful place! I would definately stay there again. "Stay for business"
Overall a decent place to stay. Bit of a walk to the historical sites and expensive due to overbooking in the city.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel is beautiful. I was surprised to find out the pool was a sporting club and not somewhere children or couples should go to relax...Genuine Expedia guest review
"excellent veiw of city"
The staff was wonderful they upgraded our room to a suite and they tried to help us find local places in the area within walking distance it's very close to most museums in the area the room was huge the spa was wonderful as wellGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but very old and outdated!"
The location is great, but everything is outdated and designed for old people. The toilet is very low, bath mirror is low phone in the toilet, it reminds you of a nursing home. Food was not good and very expensive. But staff are nice. I would say a 3 star hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
The service was excellent, as we entered the lobby we were welcomed by a very attentive young woman named Erica. She seemed to really enjoy her job full of energy and always smiling, she offered us a glass of wine...after being stuck in traffic for over an hour it was a perfect greeting! The room was spacious, pristine and even though you are located […] on a busy city block you couldn't hear a thing inside the halls or from the street. The restaurant has great views we stopped in for a drink and watched the sunset. We would definitely stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
