We really enjoyed our stay here. We went on a pleasure trip though this hotel caters mainly for Business in the week. We stayed 2 nights just me and my 2 children. I loved the closeness to the downtown area, especially the Core with the gardens. Beware that if you have kids there is nothing open except adult mainly bar/ restaurants beyond 6 pm. We ate […] early and thence kids used the pool. This gets a big thumbs up, very quiet at night during the week and we liked the fact that it is heated. The room we stayed in had a balcony and though small was enough for us. We can't say enough about the staff who went above and beyond for us, we have not one bad word. "Nice hotel for the price paid."
We only stayed for one night but it was comfortable. The room was okay, nothing too fancy about it. We stayed in a balcony bedroom, overlooking the downtown. We had a good experience. Premises were pleasing but the rugs could be in better condition. The beds were very comfortable. We stayed one week so we had a frig and microwave brought to our room, however they were not clean. We did tell the front desk when we left. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Daily cleaning was good. We never got our room cleaned on our 2nd day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn't like how the people in the office building across the alley could see right into the room though. "Bring Ear Plugs"
Beds are comfortable. Room was acceptably clean. I've stayed here before during a very slow season (right around Christmas time) and had no noise issues because the hotel had low occupancy. This time, however, I was in a room that had adjoining rooms on both sides. The soundproofing on the doors to the adjoining room is awful and I could clearly hear […] the people on both sides of me. Not just loud talking.... but also when they were speaking quietly or even just clearing their throats. Luckily both sides were quiet during the sleep hours but if you had people in an adjoining room that were night owls you wouldn't get any sleep without good ear plugs! Stay was fine. The reception staff were delightful and very helpful. Kitchen/restaurant staff were unhelpful and everything was an issue. I appreciated the hotel being open as it was the only one in the evacuated area in Calgary. Overall the stay was fine, but since the hotel restaurant was the only one that was open in the area there was no choice but to eat there and the food was not the greatest and I believe they took advantage of having virtually no competition by jacking up their […] prices. Also, when booking a shuttle back to the airport on my departure, my visa was charged and then once I was in the shuttle I was told to pay again because the hotel had no right to charge me. So I paid twice for the shuttle trip due to the incompetence of the staff. If I had known this I would have just grabbed a cab. Otherwise the cleanliness of the hotel and room was fine. Regrettably your stay coincided with Calgary’s record flooding and hopefully you will be able to return another time when you will be able to enjoy Calgary and area in its usual vibrancy and beauty. In the immediate days of the flooding all but a few Calgary downtown hotels were evacuated and we were pleased as were our guests that our electricity was not shut down and it was not necessary for them to be allocated elsewhere in the city. Fortunately we were able to find the staffing to keep our restaurant open through its usual closed period from 2pm-5pm and in addition to our regular menus offered a special $14.00 dinner menu. We are sorry you were disappointed in our food but assure you the very same preprinted menus and competitive prices we use daily were extended. In terms of airport shuttle fees, these are not charged at the Hotel as we do not have a ticket to disperse. We are glad you found the hotel and guest room clean and apologize for any delay in service to the room during this period that staffing was tighter than usual. We appreciate your comments. A reasonably priced hotel in a great downtown location. The room had a new bathroom and was newly decorated although some of the furniture looked a little battered already. We did enjoy our stay. It was convent for where we would be that weekend. The room was rather warm but there was a fan in the room which we placed in the open window and tht was better. Parking situation is a shambles. Checked-in and wasn't able to park at hotel. I have no problem paying for parking, but don't want to drive around a strange city looking for alternate parking solutions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Our property operates with very heavy demand or sold-out status typically Mon-Thu. On these same evenings parking may be a challenge and will require our guest to park at a public lot to the west of our parkade entrance on 8th Avenue or on 9th Avenue and 6 Street SW, another public lot.
