Picked this Super 8 motel in Nashville/Hermitage area based on price and location (we drive until late and leave in early a.m.) After checking in, the reservation clerk told me to park out front if I could find a place (she didn't tell me there was extra parking in back, though I'm not sure we'd have wanted to park that far away from our door). Place […] has an outdoor elevator and doors open to the outside, even on the 3rd floor balcony/wallkway. Parking area was very small with no open spots, but we did park along the driveway until a spot opened up. Room, beds, and bathroom were ok and clean, but carpet was quite old and appeared soiled (pillows were very small & soft). Breakfast was good enough, but it wasn't fully set-up until 8 a.m. (no juice or coffee). When we left and went to the desk, no one was available anywhere (even after ringing the bell for several minutes) and we left without ever seeing anyone. We would not go back to this motel. Chose Super 8 because of pool since we had grand-kids with us. Room was clean. Amanda was super nice. Felt safe with location and very nice area. Pillows in room were not very good. Only real negative I had was the pool area. It really needs some work done there. It is not in very good shape. We would stay there again.

We spent two nights in the motel. We were constantly on the go during the day. The motel was very comfortable and relaxing when we came in at the end of the day. I had stayed at the neighboring Suburban Extended Stay for nearly two months when I need a kitchenette. For these two nights I only needed a place to shower and sleep. Suburban would give me no nightly discount even though I had stayed with them about 40 nights over two months. A quick check with Super8 found them a few dollars cheaper per night. I'm […] glad they were. The room was much cleaner, nicer and better smelling than the other. It's also very convenient (100 yards) to both Waffle House and Hardee's for meals. I usually don't stay at any hotel less than two starts but this was on a night when Tennessee had a Football game and before the new years and every thing was either all sold out or super expensive. I stay here because this hotel offers everything that I need: a clean room, execellent free breakfast in the morning, courteous and efficient staff, and a convenient location. The room price is very competitive with others in the area. The room even includes a refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker. We often bring our own coffee and creamer, but the hotel provides that for you as well. We recieved poor service from the moment we arrived. OUR biggest problem was the fact; they gave us 3 towels we asked for more so we could us the pool and they would only give us two. (there were 5 of us) After they cleaned the room on the second day they took our towels and washcloths and did not return our washcloths, so we had to go ask for more. […] We could not use the common area without going and asking for someone to let us in, and could only us it for an hour. The pool light were not turned on until we asked twice. We were told by the staff to not let our children play on the grass to go back to our rooms to play. My non-smoking room was only non-smoking because I did not smoke. My hair and clothes -- even clothes I did not take out of the suitcase -- reeked of old smoke smell for days. Based on the price, I did not expect much, and I got exactly that. I'm not sure where all the other good ratings came from.

Stayed at this same hotel 1 year ago and it was clean and nice and comfortable. This year it has gone down hill a little. Needs some updating and deep cleaning. Stains on the carpet and little pillows. Need to put some menus of nearby delivery places in the rooms as well.

I had multiple "residents" near me that hung outside in the corridor,left their door open with their large dogs. One resident stayed outside and drank his beer and waved everytime my famly walked by. I felt like I was in the ghetto, and out of place to just use the room for 1 night.

I paid in advance for two rooms - smoking - king beds - 3 nights each. When we arrived we were told that there was only one king smoking available and the only other room available was one with 2 queens on the other side of the hotel! When we showed up to check in, the woman at the front desk and the manager would not let us check in unless our host faxed proof of ID to the hotel. We stayed at this hotel for 19 nights, picked it do to cost and features, well cost was cheap, but so where the features. Internet spends more time out than working, either there is no service, or they only have enough access for a couple of rooms. Breakfast consist of juice, freezer biscuits, nasty gravey, bannana's, or bread and beagles. Ohh and […] some waffles. Laundry, well they have facilities, one washer, and one dryer for the whole hotel, and expect to run the dryer atleast three times to dry something at a dollar a load. Pool is very small, and water is dirty, Hotel is very noisy and staff will not say anything unless you call and ask them too, last night we came back and people were getting drunk, and barb-cuing out side the bottom floor rooms in the parking lot. Overall, our stay here was fine. However, there is no such thing as a "non-smoking" room. The room did smell like it had been smoked in. We needed a cheap hotel for a week long visit to Nashville, and spent as much time away from the hotel as possible. If you just need a bed to sleep in and a place to shower, this is it.

I took my 9-year old daughter and her friend to Nashville for the Taylor Swift concert. We also visited the Parthenon and Andrew Jackson's Hermitage while in town. The hotel room was very clean. The neighborhood was quiet and there were plenty of alternatives for fast food. We enjoyed the free breakfast - the staff kept it well stocked and immediately […] responded when I called to tell them the coffee urn was empty. The only drawback is the indoor/outdoor pool - it started to thunder while we were there and since the pools are connected through a plexiglass window, the girls had to stop swimming. The indoor part of the pool is not well ventilated and the chlorine smell was strong, but that means the water is sanitary to swim in so that was fine with me! I thought there was a spa on the property and it may have been by the outside pool, but due to bad weather, we never got to try that pool out as we had to get an early start the next day. All in all, if I ever decide to drive two young girls on a 5-hour road trip, I would definitely stay here again. The price of the room made the trip possible! Read more

I've been accustom to paying $100 plus per night. Decided to try Super 8 on this business trip. Surprised and very satisfied. Clean and comfortable. The staff seemed to go out of their way to make my stay a pleasant one, they succeeded. There was no flat screen TV but that was okay. The big box worked just fine.
