"Very nice hotel with reasonable rates"
Room was clean and well kept. Bed pillows were the most comfortable of any place I have ever stayed. Breakfast choices were excellent. Only complaint: snack machines were not working properlyGenuine Expedia guest review
This was represented as located in "historic Charleston." it was very far from the center of town and required a long (30-40 minutes) walk or a shuttle that ran every 30 minutes. it would be good if that information was clear when booking. I wouldn't have stayed there had I known.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I usually stay at Days Inn on Meeting St,due to the area,i stayed here because i was visiting a friend in the hospital, the hospital was even in walking distance, this hotel is beautiful, clean, quiet,i was even given warm baked cookies !! They also have a shuttle that goes downtown, great place !Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stayed here many times, but may not again."
Parking is severely limited to the point that it's become quite a hassle. WiFi connectivity/quality was painfully poor--and my room was centrally located.Genuine Expedia guest review
we are usually very relax and carefree. We had to park our car across in a bank's parking lot. A kind employee had to move it before 8am the next day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"GREAT HOTEL FOR THE PRICE"
hotel was nice and clean no problems checking in. parking was bad at this hotel. we got there and did not move the car. there is a free trolly stop right by the hotel. we took it to the visitor center. and most every thing was walkable from there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"First Room wasn't ready. Bed hadn't been made."
First room beds hadn't been made and the TV was still on. However that's as fare is a looked. Lastly parking was at a premium as there was nothing after dinner as fare as parking spots.Genuine Expedia guest review
Tight squeeze on parking and the hotel appeared to have used cheap laborers during its last renovation. It served it purpose, a clean bed for a decent night sleep prior to our visit at the local hospital.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was great. Location was fine. Room smelled of cleaning fluid.Genuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed my stay. Hotel was clean and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
too far away from downtown for what I paid. service sucked also..room was ok, that's about it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Kitchen, refrigerator, bathroom were very dirty! Beds were very nice and big roomsGenuine Expedia guest review
"comfortable but far from the maddening crowd"
disappointed that they didn't even check to see if a room was ready when we arrived at 12:45 pm. Just said "check in isn't until 3:00 pm." Free shuttle was courtesy of Charleston, not the Comfort Inn. So we stayed downtown for 6 hours since we didn't want to travel back and forth. The next day we drove downtown and was able to park along the river and […] walk around the beautiful residential area. Had we known parking wasn't that difficult, we would have driven the first day. Customer service with front desk staff was outstanding. Very friendly and professional. Would definitely stay at same place next time I'm in town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice stay, ok hotel."
Very nice room. clean and updated. very comfortable bed. Not much of a view of Charleston and a good ways from downtown Charleston. Staff was efficient but not overly friendly. Had trouble finding a parking spot when we came back after dinner. room was near elevator and could hear every person that was walking down the hall going to the elevator. Needs […] to sound proof the rooms a little better. Descent hotel for the price compared to other hotels in the area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"very disappointing stay"
Hotel did not deliver what was a confirmed reservation Had confirmation of 2 queen beds, kingbed room was given. Hotel did not back up promise Was told that I would get $50 refund because of error. Upon check-out they then subsequently they refused to give that discount. Hotel location Location is bad- far from downtown Hotel cleanliness Hotel was dirty. […] Type of hotel you do not want ot take your shoes off or touch anything. Restaurant Breakfast was poor in quality: no fresh food, orange juice was orange water. Amenities Shower did not have hot water. Swimming pool was very small 4 by 4 yard Recommendation Would not recommend this hotel to anyone Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The staff responds well to your concerns. They are friendly and helpful. The breakfast meal has a nice selection. Good location for trolley service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I brought my daughter to Charleston for her college graduation. The overalll rating for this hotel, for the price was definitely a 4. I wish it was just a little closer to old Charleston, but once we figured out the roads, it didn't take but minutes to be in the historic district. There is a FREE troll right outside the door to the historic district […] that runs from 6a-6p. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location at a decent price"
Average hotel but walking distance to downtown. Rooms average and somewhat dated but comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect for my brief stay in Charleston"
The staff at this hotel were all super friendly and helpful. The breakfast had both healthy and unhealthy options and I appreciated having it as an option. The room was comfortable and in good condition. My stay in Charleston was brief, but the quality of the hotel and it's location met all of my needs. It was super easy to get a cab with a quick phone […] call from the front desk, the trolley stop was right outside and all of the downtown sights were really close by. I stumbled into a great wine shop across the way on Lockwood too. Go in and visit Debbie, the owner, and have her introduce you to a few of her favorite bottles. In fact, everyone in Charleston I bumped into was amazingly friendly and helpful. And, it started the moment I arrived at this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was smaller than it appeared. We had a room at the end of the hall and could hear the elevator all night. They had parking but not enough for every room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Lack of parking was definitely a little inconvenient. Alot of noise coming from hall and rooms above. Walls were obviously thin.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok downtown hotel"
It's about a twenty minute walk to historic downtown. The shower pressure in the bathroom was non-existant but otherwise it is a decent hotel to stay in for a good price while still being in walking distance of the down town. I would probably return to this hotel because of the price value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Short trip for business."
I found this hotel and its location to meet and exceed my expectations. I only stayed in town overnight but the staff was able to accomodate my stay no problem. My room was quiet, clean and I got the necessary rest I needed to be rejuvenated for my next days travel.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed here on a golf trip. It was a perfect place to crash after a long day. The staff was very nice and the location was wonderfully convenient. I'd certainly stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
The front staff was wonderful. The person who cleaned our room was terrible. Did not clean the bathroom or vacuum or dusted. They just made up the bed. We had no toilet paper and no clean towels or wash cloths. The sink and bathtub had never been cleanedGenuine Expedia guest review
Decent hotel. Pricey for a Comfort Inn. Right off the free trolley that takes you into town.Genuine Expedia guest review
Close to downtown. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. What more could you ask for?!Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK for downtown stay"
actually everything was good with this Hotel. The only Thing I did not like that wifi did not work in the room and staff was not cooperative for any Kind of compensation for that. Wifi in the room should be a Standard and if it cannot be provided then guests should get any Kind of compensation.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Use as "Plan B" hotel"
Not enough parking to accommodate all guest rooms. I had to park next door at a bank overnight and leave my keys for someone to move it before the bank opened the next morning. No bars, restaurants or shopping nearby and too far to walk to "downtown" district. Spend the extra $25 and stay on King or Meeting Street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is NOT in the Historic District at all.Genuine Expedia guest review
I forgot my key in the room and when I went to get a new one they did not even ask for ID just gave me a new key. Anyone could get a key to any room like that.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Enjoyed the stay!"
We typically don't look for the most upscale rooms because when we travel, we're never in it except to sleep. The location, price, cleanliness, and amenities of the Comfort Inn were far beyond adequate. If there is any complaint at all, it is that the elevators are slow, and parking is limited...in other words, not much at all to complain about! We […] did have to get up and move the car from overflow parking at the bank next door before 8 am, but that wasn't too big a deal as we were up and ready to enjoy the day in Charleston anyway. I would not hesitate to stay at the Comfort Inn next time we are in town as a clean, convenient, and inexpensive room in downtown Charleston is not the easiest thing to find. Comfort Inn on Bee St. meets these criteria without a hitch. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good stay for price"
The hotel is good given the price. I only had 2 issues: very poor internet quality (free but would consistently lose connection making work difficult) and I had to park at the bank due to insufficient parking spaces. I would probably stay here again if I don't plan on getting work done. The breakfast buffet is nice and I found a nice running route.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Relaxing and Enjoyable"
Overall, my family enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and updated. They were a bit small but then again we were only sleeping in them. The hotel staff was very friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for the price"
Nice big room, large and comfortable bed. It's about a 30 minute walk to the heart of downtown or the CARTA bus stops right at the hotel. The breakfast wasn't great but otherwise a good place to stay. Just a heads up, when asking reception to call you a cab, specify which cab company you want or else you get ripped off. The first time, they order a […] private SUV cab company which charged $40 to take us to Magnolia Plantation, on the way back we got a yellow cab on our own and it was half the price! "Switched without compensation"
I booked this hotel for my husband and son since they had to go to MUSC the next day for testing. Booked a room with two double beds, only to find upon arriving they were told the room they were assigned had an a/c leak. So......rather than putting them in another double bed room, or even upgrading them, to say maybe a king size bed( which two men could […] do with pillows between them), they wound up in a queen with a roll away bed. Oh, and no cost for the roll away( friggin well better be at no cost). Neither of them slept well at all. Next time they have to go back to MUSC they will most definitely NOT be staying here. And, I'm sorry, but there should have been compensation from them, as the room they got was not what was purchased(I'm just saying). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Spring Break Trip!"
For the cost, this hotel met all of my family's needs. Room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was excellent. Trolley stop in front of hotel made it very convenient to get to the SC Aquarium and to the Market without having to drive the car. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very Convenient to Historic Charleston"
The hotel was wonderful, our room outstanding and the staff was so pleasant. We wanted to be close to downtown without paying the exorbitant price and this was the perfect solution. The breakfast which is included was good. We will definitely be staying there again,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location not for sight-seers"
The hotel was fine -- no major complaints. The main issue was that it is far away from all the sights and restaurants that you want to see when you visit Charleston. There is a shuttle stop a few feet from the front of the hotel, but it runs about every 20 minutes and takes about 15 minutes to get to the "downtown" area (Charleston Visitors Center - […] other hotels - museum - shopping - tours, etc.). If you need a hotel near either the VA Hospital or MUSC (major Charleston hospital...don't know the full name), then this a a good hotel at which to stay. Parking could be tricky, but for the most part you don't need your car when visiting Charleston. The free shuttle (there are 3) take you most of the places you'd want to go. The people were very nice. The weather (early April) was lovely. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Some good some very bad"
Upon registering we were met with a very sour person. He seemed put out to answer questions and in fact gave us a partial answer about parking that could have ended in our car being towed if another desk person had not set us straight. Your cleaning and mantiance staff is wonderful, friendly, polite and helpful. The trolly, ( although not affiliated […] with the hotel) that was suppose to be so easy to use (one reason we chose the hotel) was unpredictable causing a lot of wasted time. "In historic district so I could walk to all sites"
Liked everything about hotel including breakfast optionsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was clean quiet and the best sleeping I have done in a long time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice clean hotel with comfortable beds and good breakfast. Service at desk was not very good. We had no internet for the 2 evenings that we stayed. Ask for a wake up call and didn't get one. When we ask about the internet they could not explain what happened and no apology very frustrating as we were trying to book a flight!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place for the money"
Clean and friendly staff. Great breakfast as well as a taxi/limo service to the downtown/market area. It was everything we needed. We will definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
we spent 2 nights in Charleston at the Comfort Inn and were totally satisfied. We have stayed in motels rated much higher and they did not come close to the quality comfort and convenience of this hotel. It was at least 4 stars. Can not wait to get back. Pat and NitaGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Fair hotel at a fair price. I didn't expect 5 star service, nor did I have to pay for 5 star costs. The hotel is just outside of the historic district and was easily accessible to seeing the sights. The location was a bit difficult to find at first, but mostly because of a difficulty in navigating the local roadways.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
