I stayed at the South Wing (newer building) and the room was spacy and very nice. Their service was superb as usual.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good 5 star hotel for business travellers"
First time using expedia. No problems with booking at all. My room was in the main building. More modern and updated than the traditional lobby. Enough lights in the room to be brightly lit if desired, very modern and comfortable. Easy and good internet access. Good TV channel selection, including financial news. Exceptionally clean, no stains anywhere, […] and the hard to clean places were also clean (ie. shower corners, hair dryer cable, refridgerator, etc). Nice bathroom amenities. Comfortable bed for westerners (not rock hard like in many Japanese hotels), felt new (NO sag from too much use). Very professional staff. Fast and good room service. Excellent concierge support. Will definitely recommend this hotel to other people, particularly business travellers, and will stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I had a wonderful 5-day stay at this hotel. The room was elegant & comfortable and the hotel staff prompt and helpful with all my requests. The lobby worked well for my business meetings too. Highly recommended.Genuine Expedia guest review

Total wonderful experience and excellent service of staff even with communication not made effectively!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Okura - great for family vacatioin in Tokyo"
Great hotel. It combines excellent service with large rooms and very convenient dining options. Also, for planning day trips, the concierge was extremely helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Grande Dame of Akasaka"
Okura's mid-century modern look is now mode again. The minimalist, sunken lobby area that resembles a rock garden, with low lying tables & semi-tulip like chairs strike you with it's high ceiling & golden hued walls accented by black marble wall sections. The rooms and pool area are a wee bit tired looking, but otherwise is a lovely hotel just 5 to […] 10 min. cab ride to Roppongi Hills shopping mecca. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Located in the most upscale neighborhood in Tokyo. It's a classic with Charisma and charm. You expect to run into Don Draper any minute. As a bonus they've added an outdoor pool.Genuine Expedia guest review
A loud mechanical noise from the airconditioner interrupted my first night sleep in Tokyo. When complained, the hotel staff told me to move to a different room. I had to pack and put clothes on again around midnight.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff is awsome. Hotel is clean and good location.Genuine Expedia guest review

"First trip to Tokyo"
Stayed at Hotel Okura Tokyo for our first trip to Japan. Great location for business travelers. Very close to the subway station. Food is Japan is amazing! And surprisingly reasonable! Nobu and Nobu Cafe are also just around the corner from Hotel Okura.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A Midcentury Modern Classic"
Old world elegance with the modern amenities you expect. This was a great introduction to Japan for us. The staff was very polite, yet very friendly. We had a great time interacting with our chef at the tempura restaurant. We love all the little touches, from the women in kimonos greeting you at the elevators to the origami crane and turtle on our pillows. The […] restaurants are very expensive, dinner was well worth it, the breakfast only because of the garden tucked in the middle of the city. The location is in a district with embassies and government with a 5 -10 minute walk to the subway or a 10 minute cab to Tokyo station. We only stayed for two nights and were touring in other areas, so I don't have much of a feel for the rest of the neighborhood. This is where Ian Fleming had Bond staying in the book of You Only Live Twice. It was built in advance of the 1964 Olympics, so it has a real Mad Men goes to Japan vibe. "Comfortable and Clean"
Hallways smelled a little stale/smokey -- but other than that, very clean and comfortable hotel. Pretty close to subways/train stops. Very quiet area. Just a short walk (10 min) to the heart of Roppongi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was great room. very comfortable . Best of all great price . I will go back there .Genuine Expedia guest review
Incredible service, close to 3 different subway lines and great restaurants (Kyubei and Sazanka).... can't ask for more at this price level. Definitely added to my list of go-to hotels in Tokyo.Genuine Expedia guest review
Though the hotel is older, it still leans toward traditional Japanese 5 Star Hotel Service. It has some of the best restaurants in the Country with a few michelin starred, too. It is usually a quieter and more reverant facility than its counterparts, a favorite aspect of mine.Genuine Expedia guest review
I ll book it again next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Tokyo mid-20th century classic"
A Tokyo classic since the mid-60's and looks quite frozen in time. This is arguably one of the top three famous hotels in the Japanese capital. Very convenient location to the political and financial districts. It's much more geared towards business people than the casual tourist. The rooms are a decent size, the internet is free (both LAN and wi-fi) […] and the TV has many international channels. The lobby restaurant serves one of the few real Western breakfasts in Tokyo. "Great hotel in a quiet location."
I stayed at Hotel Okura, Tokyo, for five days including the New Year's day. This is a superb hotel with all the luxury one may need. The service was fantastic: courteous, always available, however never imposing. What I liked most was the quiet hotel location, far from traffic yet close to Tokyo metro. (Toranomon is about 10 and Kamiyacho 5 minutes […] away.) Breakfast buffet was excellent and the health spa even better. I enjoyed the Highlander bar too! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Like stepping into an episode of Mad Men"
Love the mid-century modern decor!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
With one excpetion, albeit one very large exception, this was a decent enough hotel. It's a little older and in some places it very much shows it's age but does retain some of it's 50's charm. The staff, like every hotel in Japan I've been to, was very nice and accomidating. The hotel was clean as well. The location is right by the US embassy, which […] is to say, it's not really close to many restaurants, bars, etc... Heading over to the Roppongi crossing area is a pretty good hike. The biggest problem with the hotel is that they do not guarantee your room choice. Your request for 2 beds, for example, is just that, merely a request. Even though you may pay in advance, there's no guarantee that they'll have the room that you booked. Of course, had I known this in advance, I would never have booked this hotel. If you are particular about sleeping arrangements, I would consider another hotel Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet hotel with a good service"
My husband & I love this hotel that in very quiet neighborhood. The location is convinience to go to Ginza & Roppongi via Subway. The hotel itself is not new, but it is well mentained & room is pretty large. It is close to the convinience stores & reasonable restaurants to eat. Only the inconvinience side is we had to walk to the subway stations approximaly […] 10 to 15 minutes. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"One of the great hotels in the world."
The Okura in Tokyo is one of the great hotels, maybe my favorite hotel anywhere. The staff is wonderful, the lobby is one of the most gorgeous rooms in Japan, or anywhere, all the public areas are lovely and immaculate, and the restaurants are fabulous. My only complaint is that the hotel charges guests outrageous amounts to use the gym and the pool. […] I paid $27 to have a swim, which is unconscionable in a major hotel. Finally the Okura has free wi-fi in the rooms, which they didn't before, but charging for the use of the gym and pool is wrong, and they should move past this. If you stay in a deluxe-enough room they waive the charge, but that just creates second-class guests, and that's wrong. But that's my only complaint. This is a great hotel, and I look forward to my next stay. I also look forward to the end of this ridiculous policy of charging to use the hotel facilities. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Excellent service. Quiet neighborhood. Feel history of the building but very modern at the same time. A bit isolated but great for traveler who is looking for a quiet time after a day full of adventure. "hotel really focuses on service"
Tons of staff standing around, greeting people. Very clean hotel. Old fashion feeling. Restaurants were very expensive. Gym available, however there is a fee (3165 yen). "Sanctuary in the city"
My two sons and stayed here for a week and had a large comfortable room with three beds and a great shower. Excellent service. A bit retro, but in a very classy, subtle way. I half expected to see a 1960s silver Aston Martin parked out front. Not the easiest location to walk from as it is on top of a hill, but I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Tremendous value for an exceptional hotel that is competitively priced through Hotels.com. Around five minutes leisure walk to the metro. Surrounding areas are calm with quick access to the business center and embassy rowGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel provided us with a cot and an extra bed for our two year old and four year old children which spared us from booking another room.( Expensive!) we had to pay a surcharge for the bed and cot but it was well worth it. The four of us managed quite well without feeling too crowded.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Old grand style comfort and space"
Walking distance to Roppongi business area and most embassies. Gym and pool facility was fantastic although about a $20 extra charge. Was worth it both times I went. "OOkura, comfort and tradition"
This hotel is probably the most beautiful in town in its category and the service is always at a high level. I have a 5 years experience of living in Tokyo some years ago so I decided to choose this place for its so japanese reputation, architecture, and good location. My stay in this hotel was smooth as I expected except one or two things: the incredible […] fact that there is no wifi in the rooms; to connect your phone or computer you have to rent 20$ a day a special device. I did not manage to catch any foreign program on TV but I must admit that I did not spend much time on it. For 40$ the breakfast buffet is not particulary a good value for money regarding the choice and the quality of pastries. However thanks to the very kind and helpfull staff, Okura hotel remains a good experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Okura Hotel - Japan"
I have stayed in this hotel a number of times but not during the last 5-6 years. The room I had has been updated and the hotel remains the still classy classic hotel I remembered. Impecaable service all around and everyone very helpful and friendly particularly the concierge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Okura is a great hotel if you have meetings with the U.S. Embassy or with Japanese Ministries. Very close to two stations. Walking distance to several nice shopping area's. Had a GREAT stay. We checked out at noon to catch a flight at 10pm that night. "Hotel Okura Tokyo -- great service and location"
We had a very good experience at the Hotel Okura. The facilities are very nice and our room was most comfortable. The room size was good as well. It is in a business district that is centrally located, although not among many restaurants or shopping. However, the service was fantastic. Beyond recommendations for restaurants and sight seeing, we had […] need for a physician during our stay. The hotel staff arranged for an English speaking physician to come to our room and stayed with us to be sure that we could properly communicate the problem. The staff also followed up afterward to be sure we were alright and did not need anything further. The hotel goes out of its way to take care of its guests. We recommend it without hesitation. Okura is a beautiful old hotel, with lots of grace. Location is safe and central. Meals in the hotel were very expensive. And Okura has not come into the century with wireless network access. Beautiful besides that. Service impeccable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It's not worth the $"
This is a good hotel but the cost is very high comparing to other hotels in Tokyo. I expect more at this price. The location is fine but the hotel is a bit old and there is no beautiful view. Most of the rooms look at the garage behind the hotel. I would prefer the Prince Park Tower hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location for meetings w/ US Embassy and Japanese Ministries, and for breakfasts/lunches with GOJ and Embassy officials. While hotel is older, it's very comfortable, convenient, and service is impeccable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There are so many fancy hotels in Japan. I personally feel that hotel Okura has history, best service, best location in Tokyo. It needs a little update in guest room but I am extremely satisfied with this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
The rooms are spacious and the hotel is very nice. It is a little dated. Service is excellent. The hotel restaurants and bars are ridiculously expensive. There are plenty of better options for food in the surrounding area (Akasaka). I recommend the Ark Hills restaurants nearby. There is a nice grocery store there too. There was nothing really spectacular […] about this hotel though, and I would only book it again at a heavy discount. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel used to be the best hotel in Tokyo for a long time. The price is very resonable now compared to the new hotels but the quality of service is still outstanding. Only negative about this hotel is the distance to the train stations and that there is not much restaurants in the neigborhood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
