I booked a Suite and they tried to give me a standard king bedroom. The only difference in the standard and the suite is a ugly green couch that looked to have some type of red stains on it. The heaters are from the 70's. The wall behind the front desk was pilling away. long story short just stay away!!!

I can actually say that this hotel is ok, after reading all the negative thing people have mentioned, I dont think it's that bad. The suites are very spacious and the location is an ok area, there are many resturants around the hotel. The only problem for me was the musty smell in the room, the room could of been cleaned better. Other then that it was ok.

The mini- fridge was broken I repeatedly reported it and nothing was done about it. There were no blankets provided for the couch bed and it took 2 calls and 2 hours to get 2 very thin blankets. The heater did not work no a/c or fan available. Made service did not replace the coffee a couple of times and did not get rid of the breakfast trash. The breakfast provided was okay but there was not very much selection and ran out of things without replaceing them. Most of the staff was rude and not helpful. I was not satisfied with the hotel at all and I am not usually very picky.

Our hotel room had a odor, the room service did not clean our room or make the beds until we called and asked. Had to call on the blow dryer for maintenance to say that it was working only to find out the next morning that it wasn't. The free breakfast was good.

Location a little scary at night. Room not so clean. No hot water on 2 mornings and no compensation offered. Coffee supplies refilled only once (but free breakfast is included which was not bad).

Days Inn SeaWorld/Airport was by far the absolute WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. It was in an area surrounded by homeless people - in fact there is an ally beside the building we stayed in and homeless people gathered there (we even saw one get arrested). Most definitely NOT safe for families. Worst of all though was the smell of the room. There was an OVERWHELMING smell of mildew in the room. It was so overwhelming we walked to Target down the street to buy Fabreeze and candles. You might be wondering why we didn't ask for a different room - we didn't want to be away from the friends we traveled with (whose room smelled almost equally as bad). We had to request fresh towels repeatedly before they were actually delivered. The hotel was in shabby condition and the rooms very outdated. Beds were uncomfortable and noisy.

This is probably the worst hotle in San Diego. Dirty, smelly, poor service, and way to overpriced. It should be listed as a 1 star not 2.

When we arrived we had requested a roll away bed. They didn't have any more, so the Very nice Young Lady at the front desk upgraded our room to a suite. The A/C didn't work great, but other than that we loved the room. Also, the Free Breakfast was really a nice surprise!!

The hotel is older but hard to beat the convenience of location. It's basic and nothing fancy. Staff were courteous and helpful. I stayed in a room where the toilet valve was running so I had to shut the water off. Also in the morning, there seems to be plenty of hot water and I couldn't get the water temperature down so it was a very hot shower. It's a 2 star hotel so I wasn't expecting a lot. Surrounding neighborhood was just okay. Small parking spots. Close to major San Diego attractions.

1. Bad neighborhood. Loud music from a nearby bar called "Rhythm Lounge" whole saturday night until 2 am. Stripper bars nearby. 2. Poor management. a. Water shutoff for planned repair several hours monday afternoon without giving any prior notice. Even a sign at the entrance would do a good job. b. Laundry door locked at 8pm with our laundary inside while the laundry hour was posted 9am-10pm. c. It took repeated calls to frontdesk and ranaround in the building searching for the janitor to get the door unlocked after half a hour. d. Again the next day, the door was locked at 9:50pm with our laundry in the dryer. The dryer was still working so the janitor knows there is laundry inside. This time I was lucky to locate the janitor around the pool. e. Teenages hanging around the pool area which made us feel unsafe. 3. Still a few good things a. Breakfast is good. b. Close to seaworld. c. Extra sofabed in suites.

Hotel antiquated and poorly maintained. Funky stale smell in the rooms. Refrigerator in room did not work. Water faucet came apart. Elevator not readily available. Very limited breakfast faire.

I was surprised that a Days Inn would be such poor quality. I expected more. Very dirty staff was rude and most did not speak english so could not communicate effictively. Very disappointing

Good stay for a night or so. The location is excellent but the rooms are not well lit and may be can do with some rerenovation of the rooms. Stayed there for one night then changed to anither hotel booked again via Hotel. com which was almost same price and much much better..

We thought the hotel was fine despite the negative reviews. We stayed in one of their updated rooms with a king sized bed. I used to live in SD and this neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired, and I could see how people would feel misled about the "sea world" in the title of the hotel, but for us it was great!

over all good hotel, did not have coffee pot in one of the two rooms we rented called front desk they said they would send one up never arrived over all clean affordable rooms great breakfast no heated pool close to attractions , to close to topless bars and adult attractions husband kept wandering off ha ha !!!

Room was OK, little cramped. Breakfast was decent, made there in front of you. Parking is very tight, large 4 door truck F250 good luck. Only bad part is that employees have terrible personalities. Other than that it was OK.

Not fancy but clean and well priced. We enjoyed being able to walk to many restaurants and shopping. Two room suite great for families with kids. Some airport noise, but not too bad.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely efficient and friendly. The free shuttle to MCRD was great. The full breakfast wasn't too bad for being free. The pool and spa were kept very clean and we used them a lot during our visit. The property is a little older and the parking lot is a tight squeeze, but still not a big deal. There are 2 buildings with a road in between, so you definitely want to stay in the back building if you can (that is where the pool and the breakfast areas are located). We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again if we visit that area in the future. It made our vacation very economical and we had a great stay.

This hotel is located on 2 lots. The ice machines on ur aside didn't work so we had to go across the street for ice. The pool and breakfast room are also across the street.

carpet needs to be clean asap plus pool ...peaple swiming in the clothes...awfull

After reading all the positive reviews, we thought we were actually getting a good bang for our bucks. In reality though, you get what you pay for. The front desk service was poor and unprofessional. The rooms smelled pretty bad even though we requested a non-smoking. The bed comfort wasn't great. We even upgraded to a suite, and it was disgusting. The tv in the couch area had specs all over it. The tv repair guy was pretty nice, but the quality was lacking the whole time. We ended up just watching the tv in the bedroom. Oh, then there was breakfast. It was a hot breakfast indeed but again, the service was poor. The lady who cooked our breakfast was very rude. If I were to go back to SD, I wouldn't stay at this hotel. With just a little bit more money invested, I could've paid for a better hotel. The great plus about the hotel was that they provided free shuttle service. One of the drivers was nice enough to take us on the Coronado-San Diego bridge en route to San Diego Zoo from Sea World. It was a great view but way too over-rated. It was a great gesture of hers.

I was a little scared at first as one of the girls at the front desk was sniffing and pulling back her hair, drugged??? The manager of the hotel was really great and informative about the area and places to eat in the area. The suite was nice although the tv remote was not working. I bumped into the maintenance guy and he took care of it right away and brought me extra sheets and pillows. The kids really loved the pool and jacuzzi. there was a lot of military family at the hotel and everyone was very nice. Their breakfast was great although you have to go to the front desk to get tickets for each morning. Usually we spend more time out of the hotel and its facilities, but found the guests very nice and facilities well kept. We even left an item behind and they shipped it right out to us after we called to report it. We would stay here again.

The hotel has good ubication but the rooms are old and with bad mantenace. Our room wsda very noisy , not clean. The beakfast area was the worst, because you have to eat in an area near restrooms with to much flys.

This was by far the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. The pictures on the website were NOTHING like our room at all, don't be fooled. The room smelled and made all of our clothes/suitcase reek for days. There were holes in all of the sheets, blankets and the curtains. Our shower only gave scalding hot water, we couldn't get any cold at all. I was afraid to let my kids sleep on the sleeper couch because it looked like the sheets hadn't been changed. There were mosquitos inside. I walked around with shoes on at all times because I didn't know what was living in the carpet. The breakfast was awful. The pancakes were so tough I couldn't even cut them with my plastic knife (even though there were freshly made) and the eggs were super runny. There is also a strip club across the street and some pretty shady characters walking around. Our reservation was for three nights, but we ended up checking out after one. Thank goodness we had family nearby that were nice enough to let us stay with them or I don't know what we would have done. There was no way I was staying there one more second than I had to.

This hotel is easy to get to and close to Old Town. We had a room that was on the end with no window toward the courtyard, there was a sliding glass door but you couldn't leave it open for fresh air becasue there is no screen. Over all I would stay here again and just make sure I got a room with a window for fresh air. It is a good value.

The area was bad. It wasn't really nearby SeaWorld as I expected it to be. And the rooms smelled like smoke. It just felt disgusting. We were not happy needless to say.

I was under the impression that the hotel had a shuttle, which they did, but it didn't pick you up at the airport. I had to pay,a ridiculous amount, for a shuttle to take me to the hotel. I would suggest staying closer to the beachs, inner harbor, or other major attractions so you save money on cab fares and shuttle rides.

I wanted to stay at a hotel that was close to my destination, affordable and that had 2 beds. The hotel, or shall I say motel, provided those things but they of course came at a price. While I received all of the things that I wanted, I lost the luxury of a room that smelled normal, that had a clean bathroom, and a room that felt safe and comfortable. My 7 year old daughter made me promise not to stay at another place like this again becuase she was afraid to sleep. I will definately stay true to that promise!

The airconditing wasn't working and had to call maintenance twice. Entered room and it was 84 degrees. The price was right however and the breakfast was free and pretty good.

My husabnd and I were still on our honeymoon and we came down to San Diego to go to Sea World and we had a nice time there and our room was right by Sea World. The breakfast at the hotel was good and the staff was very friendly and professional.

I had trouble with the air condition at 11pm. Also, the pool was dirty and the receptionist never send me the crib for my baby. The only good thing was the breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel.

For the price & location I was expecting a pretty average motel expereince. I discovered I would be arriving late, called the motel and got quick & friendly service. The desk person remembered me & my call when I checked in. Nice. The room was a delightful surprise- very clean and tastefully decorated. It appeared that the room had been renovated within the past year or so- very comfortable bed, stylish and comfortable chair & footrest- so comfortable I fell asleep watching tv. Hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise as well.

The hotel was o.k. I would not recommend this hotel to parents with young children since there are atleast 3 nuddy bars within 3 blocks. The streets are very dark and no lighting but the neon signs of the nuddy bars. The room was clean but the area around the pool and the pool itself were so dirty. However, they do provide free breakfast that was convenient.

I have never stayed in such a disgusting room. The furniture is stained and torn. The bedding was stained, the walls were dirty. The microwave and fridge were not clean. I asked to switch rooms because it was so bad. The new room was cleaner but very worn. I asked for extra linens to place over the couch, chairs, nightstand etc... I even wiped everything down with sanitizing wipes and made my children ware shower shoes. I wouldn't recommend staying their anytime soon. I would like to add that the employees were nice and understanding, and their breakfast area was clean and the food was good!
